Hi Gavin, very recent subscriber here. We have almost no overlap in book taste, I have been binging your videos coz of you, your personality and creativity. It's horrible to see you being upset. Many booktubers (and other youtubers) go without talking about the upsetting stuff but I think sometimes pressure to appease commenters shows through and that is sad. I think it's brave of you to be so open about it. When people are mean online it almost invariably means they are unhappy in their own life - obviously, that does not make it ok and doesn't make it hurt less for the recipient - just remember that ANYONE'S opinion on you is just that, one opinion, and it does not define who you are. You are clearly very loved. From what I've seen from your channel and seeing you in other people's videos, you are a maker and multiplier of joy and laughter for countless people. I think that's a gift and you are special for it.
Aw thank you so much. I'm doing better at ignoring the comments. I confronted someone who kept doing it with fake accounts who has been harassing me for 2 years now, and I feel better for finally confronting my bully. Let's hope it's the end of it now they know I know it's them ❤

Thank you for speaking about the comments. It's funny how we can have a ton of positive comments but it's the one hateful one that stays with us. The fact that you have so many connections with so many fellow booktubers should tell you how others see you! Do I need to read Malice? It's so outside of my comfort zone but I'm always curious when someone talks about it.
Exactly, the negative ones can really stick with us, even when they're just filled with unnecessary nastiness. And Malice was a slog to get through to begin with, so if you can get through the first half, you'll be absolutely fine!
So glad you liked Malice, it's such a great series. Middlegame sounds super interesting 🤔 It's good to vent those feelings, just remember you are 1000% valid, your channel is always my go to knowing I'll always be laughing at the end of it

Do I need to read Malice? It's so outside of my comfort zone but I'm always curious when someone talks about it.
Exactly, the negative ones can really stick with us, even when they're just filled with unnecessary nastiness. And Malice was a slog to get through to begin with, so if you can get through the first half, you'll be absolutely fine!

You have that personality that will be amazing both on screen and off screen. Malibu Rising was one of my favorites when I read it when it first came out. Personally I loved the story. Sometimes the characters did get on my nerves, but overall I thought it was great. I now want to put Middlegame and Malice on my TBR.
