The stuff that the steel player was playing behind Ford was killer! He should have been in view the entire time! His contribution was so strong that it was a major distraction during the guitar solo not being able to determine who or what was making that sound. I bet Ford would agree.
I wonder how many realize that the secret to RF's sound is his pick (plectrum) as much or more than the Dumble. He has a very distinctive pick sound, because of his attack, angle, the material and gauge, etc.
such a joy to see and hear him play ... x
This is one of the best mixes I’ve ever heard in my life. Every instrument sounds exactly like it should.
The guitar tone and the snare sound is absolutely killer.
traditional tele sound
Refreshing to hear a steel player and Ford on stage together.
Ford's clean tone is a breath of fresh air.
the more i hear him, the better i like him. he's funky enough for me.
What an unusual performance, pedal steel and Robben Ford, you don't see this often!
You can tell Robben is lovin' the steely, he's excellent. Imagine an album......
Travis Toy! Leslie steel guitar!
Superb style.... so inventive - and with a clear cut tone that only comes after decades of mastering the guitar...
The Grandmaster of guitar.....Legend
Excellent recording of Robben's guitar amp tone!!
Instantly, you know...
Tasty... Excellent interplay!
The groove is...!!!!!!!!
So, good...
World Class!
As time goes on Robben gravitates to the '60 Tele more and more. A simply amazing player who just grows & grows.
Don't forget that he has a signature PRS now.
Robben when he plays always gets me wanting to grab my Tele and play, anything that's even sort of in time!
Wow what a great drummer and that sound🥁🔥
What a backline for that great guitarist!
Never heard jazz/fusion pedal steel - this is amazing! I came from Robben but stayed for that :)
Floored me as well, even more so than the killer accordionist that Robben played with in Paris.
Dave you mean LUDOVIC BEIER
Robben's sound is always great.

Robben is one bad ass musician ! Innovative always and spot on tone for days !
Yes, and used to play in Miles Davis' band back in the day. Only the VERY BEST got that opportunity !

This is a great line up for Robben...he is really cookin' here!
Oh, wow!
The otherworldly part is unexpected...
True virtuoso!
What a combination of stellar muscians: as always Robben Ford is the business leading the attack.
Unreal... Please tell me who I have kill to get drummer like that.
Wish we could hear "Red Lady with Cello" with Toy's steel!!

Tigerwalk an all time great guitar album
Monsieur Robben Ford j'aimerais le voir à la foire au vin de Colmar super guitariste merci à vous
Awesome! Never fails to amaze.
Great 👍
divine note choice....
So good! Love it!
Can you tell us what Robben's amp was on this song? Not his Dumble, right? Actually, maybe that's his Dumble in the center?
That’s totally his Dumble behind him to his left.
Mesa, Koch, Dumble. Not sure if they all are active, well the Dumble is for sure :-)
haha oh my god travis. i'm sorry man. 😂❤
Anyone know which song robben is playing .
