Fruity waveshaper is HUGELY overlooked! To the readers of this I’d recommend that you simply try adding a waveshaper to any drum sound or the drum bus and increase the curve (not too much) then have a fruity soft clipper after it (leave settings as is).
For sure is a good way of getting anything to sound fatter! For a short explanation you’re increasing the volume / saturating and then clipping to lower peak volume.
I really love the balance of being specific and not being too specific at the same time on an issue and you nail that. Also I am really hyped for your new track!
Very cool analysis 👍 please make the same video with the analysis of the Bass line of this track. It's very interesting how Bass is made in this track. Thank you very much for your work and help in creating your tracks. You are the best!!!!!
The plugin at the top is called ‘MiniMeters’ it’s a visual aid that can help guide you towards a better mix (you should never use it replace the skill of HEARING if something is right or not) Notably it includes visual aids for stereo spacing (how central/wide your mix is), frequency level monitoring (visual EQ), loudness units meter (LU/LUFS) and a few other features. The plugin is still in beta/testing phase so is very cheap to buy at this time and would definitely recommend purchasing! There’s plenty of videos on how to set it up and what everything does. You’d honestly learn more just from using it and seeing for yourself though!
Yeah it’s a decent tool. Really good for the price, it just displays a lot of information at once which is super useful when making music. But going back to what you said, I don’t feel like you should aim for your sound to “look” a specific way. All songs / styles are different, and I would rely on your ears and not your eyes

I just realized that you sound (and look a bit) like Ringo Star! Awesome! 😎

I've always wondered how to listen to the send channel when doing parallel, thanks for the tip.
Dang. . .I have never thought of doing drums that way. This video has been really helpful! Thanks for sharing your GOAT tips!

I would like some tutorial for the plugin you have on top. What should the sound "look like"?

great tutorial
Thanks man appreciate it!
Great video! I was wondering how you display the stereo and mono and the waveform on top of your screen?
Paid for app called mini meters
do u apply soft or hardclipping? and thx for the great tutorial ❤
Usually do soft clipping. But I use both, I guess my advice would be to try both and select the one you like the sound of better
@@necrocreac hard clipping for harsher/harder hitting drums and soft clipping for smoother/cleaner drums👍
Thx guys 🙏🏼
Is the vocal from vocalfy? it just has the feels. and sounds so good quality wise
LOL - still windows sound activated 🤪 Great tutorial as always 🙂
Really nice vid, gonna try n apply parallel compression since i never do that
You should! I do it in every track
@@InverseAudioUKdon’t it make ur mix muddy never tryed it coz I always thought it would idk
Wicked bro, great vid!! Have you done one on mastering yet, especially to get it looking thick in rekordbox?
Just uploaded a mastering tutorial!
GOOD STUFF
Dude, what are all the visualisers on the top, I like the look of that for workflow and visual monitoring.
It's called Minimeters
@@InverseAudioUK thanks, I have other visualisations, but vision 4X takes up too much screen real estate
Brev whats the audio visualiser plugin at the top of the video? Looks useful
@@xxHEADSHOTTxx it’s a separate application called minimeteres
thanks bro
Easyyyy to loveeeee
you phase matching the Kicks?
Anyone know where the “easy to love” vocal is from? 😅
Please do a james hiraeth tutorial
How do you get the Overlay on the top ?
It's called Minimeters
Arcando pls❤
@@dawidmistrzowski96 we’ve got one coming 😉 and it’s gonna be way bigger than you think
Damn, it can get this complicated and intricate? All I do is narrow them to the middle and drown them in a compressor, and they sound great 😂
Everyone has a different approach I guess
🙌🏽
