Snake, Smaller.

  • A smaller "rigid chain" chain for a smaller snake! And now it is in a cartridge: • Snake, Smaller, II. !
    Each chain segment (one yellow and the other green) is printed in place (e.g. "no assembly required"). I designed this chain with an overall tolerance of .4mm to test whether or not my Ultimaker S5s could print in place chains of this diminutive size and tolerance. Apparently, they can.
    The chain is 6.80mm thick and 7.9mm wide, with an internal width (the width the link pins span) of only 2.80mm.
    Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Ultimaker Cura 4.8.0, and 3D printed in PLA on Ultimaker S5s.
