If you see the album's pictures, Vintersorg sports a very long hair. He donated his hair to a cancer health related fund, to provide wigs for chemo patients.
I've done that twice, awesome cause! Unfortunately, I found out much later, that they actually charge the cancer patient for said wig. So fucked. They will get theirs in the end!!! Metal Forever 🤘🏾
@@ItsNotaTuhmah I'm in America and I'm pretty positive that Sweden actually cares about its citizens well being and has their shit together with universal health care. So no, I don't believe that the Swedish would do that. The company that I am referring to is called "Locks of Love", so if it's a different program then I have no opinion or personal interaction with them.
i love this style of music, so much more meaning then most music. It's hard to explain to people who dont listen to it, but i think black metal in general is just overall more ambitious profound music.
i was born in brazil but grew up in costa rica, and Borknagar has contributed greatly to my musical growth. personal top five: 5) coalition of the elements 4) future reminiscence 3) circled 2) colossus 1) inherit the earth
Took me fuckin forever to find this damn song! Was at the top of my Playlist in high school! Thanks for going so damn hard Borknagar! 🤘🏾 I know y'all did that for the true fans! 🔥
@999BelialMr where do you get industrial in this? :/. melodic bm id agree i guess, but even so, without soundin like a geek these guys dont even have that famous dank sound that the older bm records had n rarely have anymore..
This song is from the album "Epic" which came out in 2004. ICS Vortex was long gone from Borknagar by then. He left after doing "Quintessence" in 2000 and Vintersorg came next with the record "Empiricism" in 2001. Glad to see you are enthusiastic, but unfortunately you are wrong.
Yeah, the break down always gets me too haha. This song is like a guilty pleasure for me seeing as I have sort of distanced myself from this type of music.
@ColdSpring1984 That's not true. Although I love black metal more than any other genre by far, I am also a fan of deathcore and brutal death metal and regular death metal.
@trace632 Yeah man! do you remember that Firestarter compilation century media release? that was good stuff, man, how i hate suicide silence and that emo shit
Im not a big fan of black metal, I actually despise the genre because of the supersaturation of the wannabe satanic bands (satan is for generic black metal as dragons are for generic power metal) but this band (at last this song) is just truely amazing, I really enjoyed it, and its nice to see that some black metal bands still use clear vocals
I find his lack of love for music disturbing. This is not at all commercial. Whoever played a musical instrument would find it beautiful the way Borknagar has balanced both the Black and Progressive faces of their music into something not only worth listening but actually good. I may not follow them since the beginning of their carrier, but you seriously need some fucking music lessons to ever call Opeth "cheesy garbage". And seriously? Hating on Dream Theater? You need new ears and a new brain.
@ColdSpring1984 I agree man. "Typically death-gore fans never will understand this band.." They are too busy being Kvlt and Troo to grow with the music
No man, I never heard about that release. I'll be sure to look it up though haha. Yeah, I had to listen to that stupid emo band for half an hour when I went to see Megadeth. Megadeth was amazing, but Suicide Silence really tested my patience.
I'm very impressed with Century Media on this one. Great band, but it's going to take a lot of them to redeem themselves for signing shit like Suicide Silence.
@HardcoreMetal89 i dont care much for any music other then metal, anything else is not my thing, but i can at least respect them all and not say vulgar things about them.
well thats quite the interesting observation...I would like to see your tangable proof that people who listen to this music are drug addicts...I'm afraid you will never find any ....As far as your disliking to this kind of music , well not everybody is going to like it....and honestly if you dont like then dont watch it ....
Opening keyboard riff has been in my head for over a decade - finally just bought the record off of Amazon! Hail Borknagar!

@@dannydeth8898 even in Sweden?

The keyboard and flute parts , bring out this sacred , sort of pagan feel . The band reminds me of some old , forgotten , religious incantations .

This band blows me away, the musical landscapes, the thought provoking lyrics, and insanely skilled musicianship/vocals
There's nothing commercial about this. Listen to the production and the songwriting. Not exactly going to draw in deathcore fans.
The clean vocal melody at 2:14 and on is great.
A magnificent song , a Masterpiece

excelente cancion

genius and unique sound! Borknagar nr1 blackmetal band!!
@keykeeperwingo ICS Vortex used to sing for Borknagar before he was with Dimmu... Listen to the older songs goddamnit. Try "Colossus".
i am a remnant of the forever origin, i am the soul of every phantom fallen, i am rising as i am falling
Can't wait for the new album, great band! :)
B O R K N A G A R !!
fucking insane drummer, and the singer is so good at the clean vocals parts. one of my favortie bands.
A perfect song and a cool video
@BigSerg80 you must play de cowbell in your band, right?

Hiding in the foliage?
Whenever my pet possum died, i played this song at his funeral. Im not even shittin yal. It still kinda brings a tear to my eyes.
Wasn't a new album supposed to be released in January 2009?
I didn't know they'd made a video for that song!
240p max - true black metal
@ColdSpring1984 these guys just need to ad some cowbell and then they will be super awesome
Great vid and music.
I'm not a great black metal fan , but this is good .
Yeah, the break down always gets me too haha. This song is like a guilty pleasure for me seeing as I have sort of distanced myself from this type of music.
Do you still even listen 13 years after this comment
Man i love Borknagar!
O que ele faz atraz da moita?
@ColdSpring1984 are you saying that people who listen to death metal won't understand this?

@ColdSpring1984 That's not true. Although I love black metal more than any other genre by far, I am also a fan of deathcore and brutal death metal and regular death metal.
Vintersorg rules!
Solefald is another really good band to check out. Neonism is my favorite record.
@trace632 Yeah man! do you remember that Firestarter compilation century media release? that was good stuff, man, how i hate suicide silence and that emo shit
EPIC is EPIC.
Vintersorg rocks!!! Oysten Brun rocks!!!!!
cool!
they added the "B" to add a feel to it
Hey! That's good!
I know only Colossus from them.
I wouldn't say it like that. It's not a stereotype. There are many badass metal videos.
WTF its been years since Ive heard these guys ...this is fucking excellent !!!
Fuck off new metal shits!!!
Borknagar is one of mt favorite bands, but I've always felt that the drums are too loud over the guitars. Still, a fantastic song!

Borknagar fucking rule. Vintersorg and ICS Vortex doing vocals = fuck yes!
Actualy it’s Vintersorg and Lars Nedland. ICS Vortex was full time with Dimmu Borgir at that time. Then he came back after Shagrath fired him.
Borknagar : thumbs up
@ColdSpring1984
I agree man. "Typically death-gore fans never will understand this band.." They are too busy being Kvlt and Troo to grow with the music
@chuckmastazero Well, they're really scene then haha.
No man, I never heard about that release. I'll be sure to look it up though haha. Yeah, I had to listen to that stupid emo band for half an hour when I went to see Megadeth. Megadeth was amazing, but Suicide Silence really tested my patience.
these guys love pasta so much they have to have spaghetti with EVERYTHING
Vaya para dormir
Not big on Vintersorg's vocals... but oh well.. Borknagar is an amazing band either way!!
@fatherovterror666 Soo i'm an idot. because i don't like the fact that you're dissing a legend?
Wanna hear a metal dude singing like an angel? Check out Scar Symmetry - The Illusionist.
He's hiding in a bush! hahaha lol,
EPIC song tho. Vox are pro XD
Lol I know, I can't get over that. I love this band but that's some goofy lookin Tim & Eric shit lmao
Hiding in the bushes of love, there's a chicken duck thing waiting for us, waiting in the bushes of love
Beginning sounds like Satyricon's: Mother North
I'm very impressed with Century Media on this one. Great band, but it's going to take a lot of them to redeem themselves for signing shit like Suicide Silence.
I'm not talking about Borknagar!!! Someone said that everything with "core" at the end is shitty music. All I said is that some grindcore is good.
młucą
Try it on 1.25 speed!
they will be in WACKEN!!! this year. See you there.
The name means nothing.
Name is anagram from word Ragnarök
@HardcoreMetal89 i dont care much for any music other then metal, anything else is not my thing, but i can at least respect them all and not say vulgar things about them.

@deef99 ya a lot of metal videos are pretty stupid but I don't care about the video I only care about the music.

well thats quite the interesting observation...I would like to see your tangable proof that people who listen to this music are drug addicts...I'm afraid you will never find any ....As far as your disliking to this kind of music , well not everybody is going to like it....and honestly if you dont like then dont watch it ....

Hahaha, TH-cam discussions...haha.
What a shame, this song deserves a better thought out video.
i miss his hair
that comment ranks as one of the most ignorant comments ive ever read.
Dumb video for a nice song like this? Unbelievable!
Akın Altay It was their first video....
@@lavendersalad81 i think the video is good.
