This was the first COB song that I really loved. I fell in love with their music and I remember having such a crush on Alexi ❤ I heard it back in my junior year of high school. At that time, I was getting bullied by mean popular girls, I was with my emotionally and physiologically abusive ex, I was having suicidal tendencies every day, and my anxiety was controlling me 24/7. Surprisingly enough this was one of the first Children of Bodom songs I liked aswell as In Your Face ,Downfall and Bed Of Razors. COB were a massive part of my life when I was a teenager 15 /16 2010/2011 when I was getting into the more darker more extreme subgenre of heavy metal. Children of Bodom are definitely the band that helped me get into Black Metal , Death Metal , Folk Metal which are now my favourite genre's of metal after becoming a huge fan of Bodom I then heavily interested in Black Metall. Thanks to Children of Bodom I'm now into bands like Dimmu Borgir ,Ensiferum, Immortal ,Emperor, Amon Amarth ,Angela Gossow Arch Enemy and many more Scandinavian metal bands. But still absolutely love Children Of Bodom especially their older stuff like Hate Crew Deathroll , Hatebreeder , Follow the Reaper and Something Wild. COB Alexi Laiho were a huge influence for me as musician growing up when I was progressing as a death metal drummer as I eventually find myself getting heavily into Black Metal and wanting to play that kind of music in a band which was a lot to do with getting into COB at the age of 15/16 as they were the first band from Scandinavia I got into ,they helped me find who I wanted to be in life which was being a musician in a band. Such a shock really sad that's Alexi Laiho is gone as he was an amazing songwriter , musician and guitarist!

I discovered COB in 2001 with "Hate Me" and instantly loved them, this band is simply amazing. I've seen them several times over the years and i a way grew up with them in my ears. It truely saddened me when they split up and broke my heart when Alexi passed away. Now i always listen them with nostalgia and the feeling that i lost a friend.... which is very strange because i never met them, but still, this music is a part of me as they had this ability to touch your soul while playing! I know i am not the only one and i know you guys are really missed!

Before I go high I'm very down, And I'll be going after it again and again. You try biting all the way not be one to be trashed, lost and strungout, Then again try something fucked to mess around with what's to coming out. Seems like so long ago. Buddy showed me Living Dead Beat when it first popped up on TH-cam and I instantly went and bought all of their albums at the time which cost me a pretty penny for being in 7th grade... Still recognize this as one of the first bands I instantly said "I need ALL of their music..." Broke soooo many guitar strings learning their riffs!
Same here, a buddy showed me "Warheart", I instatnly downloaded the whole album and after a week I bought it and three others (the rest followed soon)...the hardest music I knew before that was Lordi and my childish disgust for death- and blackmetal died then and there. And also my first electrical guitar I got at christmas a few months later. CoB by itself changed my whole life for the better as I'm now a quite decent guitar player but without them I probably wouldn't have started practicing my vocals aswell. My proudest skills I own to melodic deathmetal and I thank CoB for instatnly converting me to it. German Fan here...
We definitely need a reupload of this absolute banger in a resolution higher than 240p. I always loved Henkka's bass sound on this track and the guitar solo is great too. All around just a great vibe.

It's been a year and I still find it impossible to believe that Alexi's gone. Way, way too soon, and this song remains one of my favourites. RIP Wildchild.
Lyrics: What you mean for the? Question of you Trying to be kicking ass to help me? After you know I never to go Before I go high, I'm very down You know I'm strong enough to get it again You try to be on the way, Not be trashed, lost and strungout When together try something drug and you question me what's to coming out Before I go high, I'm very down You know I'm strong enough to get it again Come on! Maybe I ? fucking more, I turn to you And trashed people asking my? Tell me where to fuck to go Whatever getting to the point where cracking it you, nothing hard trying to be some out of you Let me down where you down below, to the? You may go Well, let me in, I raise my slavery well, For the not by your reflection Forever I saw kiss you goodbye, So kill my soul and diction Before I blow my needle ground You me poor, I never return Up and next you tell me what to go And you know I'm strong enough to get it again Whatever getting to the point where cracking it you, nothing hard trying to be some out of you Let me down where you down below, To the? you may go Well, let me in, I raise my slavery well, For the not by your reflection Forever I saw kiss you goodbye, So kill my soul and diction
Yahoo music (wow) suggested this video after I watched an Aerosmith video with my mother back in 2005/06 (i think) RIP Alexi, thanks for always reassuring me that you can be metal AF, and still be a giant goofball.
When I found metal by accident on the TV, I looked it up and found COB’s “In your Face” and metal made me finally start instruments 10 years ago. Nostalgia🔥 Edit: I’m back. This band and Slipknot were my first metal bands I actively listened to. I’m one of the most progressive musicians I know now. They helped shape that. I can’t deny the respect I have for this whole band’s lineup.

Lepää rauhassa, Laiho. Sinut tullaan muistamaan pitkin maailmaa innoittajana ja mahtavana muusikkona. Allekirjoittaja myöskin aikoinaan saanu innon Bodomin kautta.
So much drive and melody in COB songs. Alexi made everything perfect! Rest in Peace, bro!
You helped me through some of the worst times of my life, Alexi. Hope you can take peace in knowing you did that for so many, and I hope I get to see you on the other side some day. RIP.
Having a hard time processing this. Man when I got this ep I had just lost my best friend, just having this on repeat helped so much! RIP to one of the greats.
RIP to one of my biggest inspirations as a guitar player! This video just perfectly resembles everything that made Alexi and CoB great.
You're missed and you'll not be forgotten!
2019, and this shit still giving me all the energy i need
RIP legend, you changed my life with your music.
From the Bodom of my heart, thank you for this exceptional piece of music!
Thanks to Alexi's music I can cope with my problems and I forget about everything. Thank you guitar god, RIP Alexi
He is legend...the fact he played rhythm, lead and sings is just crazy to me
Do not mourn my friends, CoB will live eternal as one of the greatest Metal bands of all time.
Keep the morale up >:) (not speaking about making war).
German Fan here...
This was the video that I discovered COB. I was surprised by their music. R.i.p Alexi!
We definitely need a reupload of this absolute banger in a resolution higher than 240p. I always loved Henkka's bass sound on this track and the guitar solo is great too. All around just a great vibe.
2:13 you just cant stop yourself from headbanging no matter where you are

RIP Alexi from Israel. Loved your music since Something Wild and it will live eternally.
Only the almighty knows how many times I broke my neck by headbanging at 2:35
This video started it all for me back like 15 years ago, it was the first time I had ever heard Bodom. RIP man, hope you're at peace now.
RIP Alexi. This was the song/video that made me a fan. Desperately underrated guitarist.
Killer damn track
Killer music
Killer guitar playing
Killer band COB
COB ONE OF THE BEST KILLER DAMN MELODIC DEATH METAL BAND EVER!!!!
This was the first COB song I listened to, back in 2008.
Since then, I've become a huge fan of Laiho and crew and they were my fav band throughout my teenage.
Miss you, Wild Child. Forever in our hearts !
\../,
You came to this world as a wild child, but you have left as a true legend. Thank you for everything.
It's been a year and I still find it impossible to believe that Alexi's gone. Way, way too soon, and this song remains one of my favourites. RIP Wildchild.
R.I.P. Alexi Laiho. You’re going to live forever through your music
3:50 just a vicious end to the song. Quintessential COB.
This was my first COB song and this band got me further into heavy metal.
Rest in Power Alexi Laiho. Forever alive in our hearts.
One of the best Bodom song by far !
Eric Giese nope not even close
Every single song on Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper albums are better than this
This was the beginning of the end of bodoms songwriting
Bodom is lake how can lake write song
Lyrics:
What you mean for the?
Question of you
Trying to be kicking ass to help me?
After you know I never to go
Before I go high,
I'm very down
You know I'm strong enough to get it again
You try to be on the way,
Not be trashed, lost and strungout
When together try something drug and you question me what's to coming out
Before I go high,
I'm very down
You know I'm strong enough to get it again
Come on!
Maybe I ? fucking more, I turn to you
And trashed people asking my?
Tell me where to fuck to go
Whatever getting to the point where cracking it you, nothing hard trying to be some out of you
Let me down where you down below, to the?
You may go
Well, let me in, I raise my slavery well,
For the not by your reflection
Forever I saw kiss you goodbye,
So kill my soul and diction
Before I blow my needle ground
You me poor, I never return
Up and next you tell me what to go
And you know I'm strong enough to get it again
Whatever getting to the point where cracking it you, nothing hard trying to be some out of you
Let me down where you down below,
To the? you may go
Well, let me in, I raise my slavery well,
For the not by your reflection
Forever I saw kiss you goodbye,
So kill my soul and diction
One of their best songs
Esta musica me encantaba cuando tenia 15 años
This is the first metal song i ever heard. I was only 4 years old. Still rocks \m/
DANKKrish wut?
this makes me feel way to old
Great! Only the best nutrition for a growing child!
what??
Quite the metal song, unlike mine which was morbid angel fall from grace
Yahoo music (wow) suggested this video after I watched an Aerosmith video with my mother back in 2005/06 (i think)
RIP Alexi, thanks for always reassuring me that you can be metal AF, and still be a giant goofball.
2018 and still giving that energy
Michel Nemesis I see your 2018... and I raise you a 2019 😏
@@cambo1991 Vagina
rip Alexi you were and still are a awesome guitar player and singer xx
When I found metal by accident on the TV, I looked it up and found COB’s “In your Face” and metal made me finally start instruments 10 years ago. Nostalgia🔥
Edit: I’m back. This band and Slipknot were my first metal bands I actively listened to. I’m one of the most progressive musicians I know now. They helped shape that. I can’t deny the respect I have for this whole band’s lineup.
Alexi, you changed my life. RIP legend
this was the first COB song I heard when I was like 15 in 2005. It's still my favorite \m/
Singer/lead guitarist was awesome!
Rest in peace Alexi, i'll always follow your riffs as an inspiration. I use them as excercises all the time because they are so fun to play. You left us the playground. Rest easy guitar god.
this is art.
Pure expression
Hell yeah \m/
Shedding a tear for this dude right now. Major influence on my guitar playing growing up.
Fuck drugs and alcohol man.
Friday: Thrashed,lost and strung out
Monday: Are you dead yet?
Alexi, you changed my life and the way i approach music and guitar! You are a true music grenius! Thank you for everything!!
rip alexi we miss you so much :(
Anyone noticed Roope stomp in the water at 1:39? Epic

Im still listening this! How about you? :)
Anyone ever stop to thonk now your listening to a dead man?

Damn I remember hearing this the first time in biology class in 2005. Epic song
I will never be able to believe we lost Laiho, but it's great so many around the world remember him for his fantastic music and playing !!! Bless his soul.
The best song of children of bodom until nowdays, indeed. THE BESTS!!!!!!!
