My line floats OK except where the leader is tied on. Is that normal for floatng line? Can I soak the line with something 1 or 2 feet from the end to cure that issue? Does anyone know? Thanks.
It can be a few things , the weight of your leader pulling the fly line under especially when using flurocarbon . If you have a braided loop they are prone to getting dirty and this will effectively degrease the tip and make it sink , or it could be water ingress in the join . Best thing for all of the above is to take a good silicon float ant and rub the top three feet of your line before each session , this will keep that floater up in the water nicely .
Thats all it needs . Dont over do the chemicals . Most fly lines actually rarely need cleaning especially if your doing lots of boat fishing . Thanks for watching .
Good advice , thank you .
good video mate!
Thanks!

So plain old washing up liquid will do the job then?
