  • Tutorial on how to enable hand tracking is out now: • DCS Meta Quest3 Hand T...
Demo of fully functional VR hand tracking in DCS, using Quest3
Quick preparation, cat launch, air-to-air refuelling, cloud surfing and not one of my best recoveries back to the boat.
With newest Quest3 update v63 and DCS 2.9, it is now possible to provide hand tracking via Quest Link into OpenXR applications, like DCS World.
In DCS, in VR options enable "Trackers". Currently this feature seems to work only with ED modules (I tried with F/A-18, AH-64).
I use HOTAS and rudder pedals, and have assigned on-the-fly toggle of hands and pilot body on free buttons. When hands are disabled, mouse works as usual. Most of the key switches and buttons are mapped to the HOTAS, but hand tracking is very useable to operate MFDs and UFC.
Recording is done on Quest3 onboard.
Video cropped from VR field of view to fit 16:9, black bar on the left during fast head motion is image stabilisation artefact.
