Good video. I’ve chosen to do Reels exclusively because in my industry, people learn best from seeing and hearing demonstrations. I used to write articles, but I had to shift to a more engaging format for marketing.
Reels can contribute to your organic growth. Instagram is taking it personal and the platform wants the creators to create more reels. Also, Reels are not the only way to growth. Other content types still works.
I have 42,000 followers on Instagram (30k of those in the past month thanks to Josh's stellar tips!). I made a poll on my story a few weeks ago asking whether my followers prefer photos or reels. 80% said photos. Though, bear in mind that my content was 98% photos and carousels. I've started posting reels and they're performing moderately well.
I can confirm the same. I have a small acc and trying to grow it and getting far more reach with carousel’s than reels on Instagram. Thanks for your insights Josh.
Thanks for the advice. My instgram is focused on writing, so I will try the carasols to track the difference. Also what course would you recommend for instgram accounts under 1,000?
Awesome, carousels are huge on Instagram at the moment so really hone in your abilities and you'll crush it. Im biased but my 0-10k course is great value in my opinion: joshryantraining.com

I think you’re right. I get more reach nowadays with single posts than reels.
Not saying its the only way, but more saying reels are not the only way (which a lot of people think they are)

I’ve been getting reach from non followers but I’m not getting a lot of follows like my last post I had 500 non followers it reached but 0 follows
It's hard to grow an account with reels but they pay off when they gain momentum
