    Clear, concise, well done! Good portion of this applies to my '14 DL1000. Love the graphics indicating fastener size(s). Lighting is superb. I am subscribed. Thanks!

    I've watched this video a couple of times. It's great. It might be good to mention the two clips (one on each side) on the inside of the side plastic pieces that hold the clusters of wires running up each side. I found pulling the clips out of the plastic to be annoyingly hard to do. Finally had to buy an automotive trim pry tool to get in there at the right angle to pry the clips off the side plastics before I was able to remove them. Thought it was worth mentioning might help someone else. Keep up the great videos hoping for many more maintenance and mod videos as well as experience out on the bike. Cheers from New Hampshire!

      Hey thanks for the feedback and for the additional info on the clips. That really helps!

    Great how-to video. Probably JIS, not phillips. Keep up the good work!

      Thank you! Also, didn’t know JIS was a thing! Learned something new! Thanks!

    But did it work? The Suzuki V-twin 2.5K “engine shake” is bothersome. I ride a SV1000s. I’m very much looking forward to trying one of these. So, how did it do? Thanks.

    For deep dive into how the Booster Plug actually works, check out our Honda Africa Twin install in the description.

    So, what is the verdict on the booster plug for the V-Strom? I've got an '18 with full exhaust and a K&N, but seriously don't like the snatchiness in the lower gears (which the breathing parts didn't fix at all). Not looking for more power, just better, more civilized delivery, specially in the city.

      To be completely honest, I didn’t see a significant power difference. I did notice that the fuel consumption went up. On the other hand, I no longer experience low throttle “coughs” when I take off in 1st gear. (Especially on a colder engine). Overall positive verdict. But not as noticeable as the DynoJets after a professional dyno tune. But then again, that would cost you much more.

      I just have the LeoVince muffler slip on. Not a full system.

      @@1LiterADVI’d just like to know if it “fixed” the V-twin 2.5K RPM “engine shake”. I’m riding a SV1000, (same engine as yours, and same issue.) Thanks!

      @TheSteveSteele I used to own 2 SV1000s bikes. That was back before booster plug was a thing. The only way I was able to fix the stutter was playing with the idle screw bolt on the engine. (Or whatever it’s called) my other SV had a power commander. That helped a lot.

    Hello, I installed the booster plug on my dl1000 as the video shows, but the air temperature reading on my dashboard doesn’t change, is that normal?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you won’t see a difference on the temp gauge. It all happens behind the scenes on your engine.

      @@1LiterADV I see, thanks for your reply!
      Thought this plug trick ECU that bike is running at colder place, it should also change the temperature reading on dashboard, seems like it’s not the case.
      Currently bike feels much stronger when take off, love it.

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @yuchanlian9262 yeah you don’t want it to change the temp gauge on the dashboard. Otherwise, you’ll always be guessing what the outside temp is. Probably risky too, if it’s close to freezing temps.

    Great video! How is the temperature in the display acting? Snow icon always on? :)

      Thanks! I’ve only seen the snow icon come on once when it was 27° on a ride home one night 🙂

    How is this working after about 8 months

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว

      So far I haven’t had any issues with it. I think it’s had roughly 2k miles put on since the install.
      The richer fueling seems to slightly reduce fuel mileage on cold days. That’s the only negative thing I’ve noticed.

  • @daveyt4802
    @daveyt4802 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those booster plugs, just fool the IAT sensor. If it's rich already you will lose power.

      We’re still putting miles on the VStrom to see how it’s affected by the booster plug. The idea is that the aftermarket exhaust and air intake filter might want to make the stock engine run leaner. I had this issue on a previous DL1000 engine.
