Those 2 films are great but at best people know what The Raid is, and at best people know who Joe taslim is and that he started in both those movies. That's the sad truth imo, but dude deserves so much more recognition. Would love to see him in franchises like John wick, the mcu, mission imposible, etc.
Joe would have to be martketable. Its just the politics. Then imo, he wont be as bad ass as he is in indonesia. He wont be martial arts anymore but just "action".
I was on the film set and was less than 10 metres from Sub Zero while he was going through his moves in the street! The street was quiet and all you could hear was the noise of his costume moving about, as he moved his arms. Definitely a wow moment!

I don''t know if many people are disappointed with the choice but this time Bi Han went before his brother maybe because he is the first Sub Zero and his skills are better and more developed than his younger brother.

The costume they made for Scorpion and SubZero is more like a mix of ancient Samurai inspired suit with a very less twist of Ninja appearance. Which kinda feels heavy and uncomfortable when doing stunts and acrobats . Well based on Joe’s costume rehearsal, it’s literally heavy. 🤷♂️
They need to look more loosen up for the sequel. Maybe they should consider customizing their suits a little bit. Remain Bold but flashy.

The original characters of mortal kombat are Raiden, Sub-Zero, Liu-Kang, Scorpion, Sonya, Johhny Cage, Kano, Goro and Shang Tsung. In MK 4, Kano and Shang Tsung is missing. In MK vs DC Universe, Johnny Cage and Goro is missing. It is like Kano can pair up with Johnny Cage as the white men of MK, and Shang Tsung can pair up with Goro as the first main villains of MK.

I watched the movie last night in cinema, literally he stole the show, such a scary presence.
Joe Taslim as Sub Zero Single Handedly the greatest decision in the history of Mortal Kombat. He's an amazing Martial Artist and he's a badass actor. I hope whoever the pick for Kuai Liang will be just as badass.

The scene of shirtless Liu Kang training Kano is honestly amazing because his physique is literally so similar to Robin Shou from the first film. Ludi is an amazing Liu Kang.
