Side Note: Pretty sure Im the only person devastated by C.A's departure. I get it though: it was the best ending to their storyline and there was no more story to be told without being at the expense of it. Self-actualization, learning from mistakes, and happy endings isnt what Girls is about. I get it now Christopher Abbott!!

Maybe Marnie forced him to not do band after parties! And then without her to keep him straight he went off the rails. He started going to more parties and that devoted into a drug addiction.
Marnie maybe has an avoidant attachment disorder, and Charlie is really attracted to that???

Drug ADDICT. And it’s hands down the best episode of the series. Great writing, actually. It shows a hard dose of reality in how people can change so drastically.
Marnie is such an opportunist. If any guy gets a wicked job along with prestige, power and a hefty paycheck, who do you think starts creeping around? Is there any guy on the show she didn't sleep with? She's like though pathetic, insecure people that feels being around a guy who is doing well with ambition, it makes her feel closer to feeling important and fame. Charlie was WAYYYYYYY too good for Marnie. You know how many girls would kill to be with Charlie (forgot his is Italian last name) I love Christopher Abbott. It's like Marnie is a bit of a groupie starf*****....case in point....Charlie, Ray, Desi, Booth Jonathan... even that Talia chick that wrote a book, and she bought it knowing full well that it would hurt Marnie's feeling. Nope. Charlie dodged a bullet.

This is such a satisfying feeling as a guy... the only thing that could make it any better is if he also got to introduce the new girl to the old girl. You don't even have to say or do anything. You just have to sit there and watch as your ex's insecurities destroy them, and then you just smile and walk away, but they can hear that voice saying "this is what you wanted, right?"

A few months ago, my ex came to talk to me, and he was so cheery when he came over, but I didn't want to get into anything with him, so I made my excuses and left, but I caught his eye as I was leaving, and he looked so hurt, it absolutely killed me. There are few other times I've ever felt that guilty.
