Thanks for this, living in South Florida in the 70s and 80s my Dad and I would go to the Orange Bowl supporting the Dolphins, so many fun times back then. Rip Don Shula thanks for all the memories 🙏🏈🐬
Your Dolphins Seasons on WIOD along with the video have been truly magnificent to watch and experience it all over again. I truly hope you’re planning on doing the 1973 season and the 50th Anniversary of the repeat SuperBowl Championship capping a 44-6-1 three year AFC Championship run.
Yes, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Miami Dolphins 1973 season when once again, each week we will post game edits featuring Rick Weaver's play-by-play matched with available film and drive charts. Join us on July 26, 2023, when we will post the first 1973 pre-season game versus the College All-Stars as we relive the exciting season in which the Dolphins won back-to-back Super Bowls.
I watched as it happened...I was 12 1/2 years old, sitting in our Florida Room in our Westchester house here in Miami.....I cried for hours, not cries of hurt as I have so many times since (God knows how many tears I have shed for this team) but pure pure JOY ! Let's GO beat the BILLS !!!!
I was 9 yrs and first Super Bowl I watched every play!!!!!! I wanted a Dolphins helmet to play sand lot games that my friends and I would play every saturday………. No dolphins helmets so a had to settle for a Colts helmet…..😂 🐬🏈
Really digging this...this looks like a bit of work putting it all together, it paid off. The combination of the radio broadcast, the historical footage of the game and your sweet graphics all come together to tell the story of the game. Nice job.
Surprised no comment about Allen’s decision not to onside kick after the Garo gaffe..if Washington recovers they would have had a shot at a tying TD in Miami territory.

Yes, we will be presenting the series “Miami Dolphins 50 Years Ago This Week” for each game of the 1973 season. As we did in 2022 for the 1972 season, we will post an edited version of Rick Weaver’s actual radio play-by-play broadcast matched to available film of each game. The first game will be posted on July 26, 2023, with the first preseason game between the World Champion Miami Dolphins against the College All-Stars.

57:51 Billy Kilmer finally throws a nice, tight spiral, and it's right to Jake Scott.
Csonka looked exhausted coming into the locker room 🥴. 🌴😎🐬🏈
