Really enjoyed your vid , very informative, i received the same watch for my 59th birthday yesterday, i love the mountains, looks beautiful there ,im in wales Gt Britain, snowdonia, ogwen valley, so im looking forward to taking it out for the day 🙏👍 thanks again
I just picked one of these up and kind of getting it figured out and playing around with it. Is there a way to reset the pedometer once you get it going like say if I want to track a hike that I'm doing from beginning to end so I want to reset it before I start hiking. Can't figure out for the life of me how to zero the pedometer once it's already got steps on it.
Yeah! I've been merrell fan since the early 2000s I was stuck on 5.11 tactical tac lite pros and Carhartt shirts for nearly a decade in Afghanistan, been with the chameleon 7s and 8s , and was getting ready to drop a few bucks on a range watch like a Garmin or a Trek nice to see cheaper alternatives
It does fairly well, I have mine in Celsius because of travel, but it’s easy to toggle back-and-forth between degrees amd Celsius. But it’s pretty close.
If would have been nice to have your phone GPS give a reading to compare with the watch. Based on this result, the barometer should also be very accurate as it works hand in hand with the altimeter. I just purchased this and will be test driving it this week. It looks like my Suunto Traverse Alpha for a fraction of the cost. Could this be a hidden gem??? 😉
This watch is genuine competitor to Suunto core, its shame its missing things like storm alarm and sunrise & sunset, a part from that it has a much btter readable diaply then Suunto core, also it has a pedometer..... One confusing thing about this watch is setting the Barometer. It is suposed to display absolute and SLP however upon setting the altitude it is not translating to the correct SLP based on my location. Perhaps the manufacturer can shed some light on this?
i have a SKMEI 1418 that essentially has the exact same electronics but cheaper; some brands just bought the system to design companies and then use diferent watch enclosure and strap to make it diferent. The compass has to be recalibrated constantly as always, but i have a doubt that followed me since years and the manual of my SKMEI doesn't specify it. If you enter into the Barometer mode, in the middle of the screen you have the actual pressure and on the top line you can select either "temeprature, barometric history, and another barometric value". Okey, if the one in the center is the actual value, what is the "another barometric value" on the top line? somewhere i read its an "average of the last 24h", totally wrong, i did calc the average and is not, somewhere i read its the "max in the last 24h", wrong too, overall i am not sure of what it represents, maybe you know?
I was expecting to you review the watch on the field as you need to use it and compare it with reliable measure equipment. Instead, I just watched minutes and minutes of you hiking with a background goofy music, then a pointless comment over the boots because "well, not swollen as twice as much but..." and then shortly talking about the watch to end the video. I feel you just laughed at me 🤷

Still love that watch! Thanks for taking it out in the woods!
I’m surprised just what $75 can get you

How did the temperature reading do? Thanks

Can you change the barometric pressure units to inHg?
You may, but I’m just not sure how. This has so many functions
Once you zero out the Altimeter, is it permanent? Does it have a memory of what sea level is?
It does

Thanks for the video, one more question: How long does the battery last?
So far the one that I wear has a strong battery. So so far is lasted over six months
Apparently has a 1 year battery life.
Wow nice video.i just wanna ask you what is the price of the watch?
About $78 on Amazon. I did an independent review earlier
Were you able to read the watch in the sun?
Yeah, I didn’t have an issue with it in the daylight
it`s not a AVTREK.This is NORTH EDGE APACHE 3, you know.
Both are clearly interchangeable……. They are the same Watch,🤷🏻♂️

I already reviewed the watch. This was a quick follow up 🤷🏻♂️
