Let's Set Up a Honeybee Swarm Trap 🐝

- Let's try catching bees in a swarm trap! In spring, native honey bees will often swarm in order to split their hive and further procreate. As an beekeeper here in South Carolina, I'm going to attempt to catch a native honeybee swarm this year. I've attempted swarm trapping before, but I have a feeling we'll have much better luck with our new Interceptor Pro Honeybee Swarming Trap! (Click below for purchasing info.) When researching swarm traps for honey bees, this seemed like a great option, so let's get it set up.

I have never purchased bees and never done a split. My overwintering success rate since my first year has been over 70%. This year I am at 83% here in Michigan.
I will be setting up traps soon but honestly I don’t need anymore bees

Please keep us updated on the progress of this swarm box I've been trying to figure out what I needed to do my hives was taken out by farmers spraying cotton fields next door to them I'm more than interested in hearing from you thanks Ryan for the idea and video

Nuc stands for Nucleus (as in small hive/colony).. Nuclear is a common mistake. Keep on videoing!

Mama never saw a flying squirrel in Honduras. But she was mostly a city gal. Luis might be questioning your sanity Señor. I love bees though. Pa used to run 4 or 5 hives.
