Heya noname yes indeed! I do have to double take sometimes and remember where I am. Has been so unique. Just yesterday ended up with an army escort out the country! Armoured trucks and all, super insane, vid soon to follow 👊
I loved watching this. My husband is from Iraq but I have never been. Pity about the enduring gender divide, but them's the breaks in the Middle East. It crops up in our marriage too sometimes, even though my husband is now technically a 'Westie'. Watching these types of videos helps me understand so much more. You can take the boy out of Iraq ....... 😀
Hi Sonia I hope you are well. Yes the gender divide seems very deep rooted, although it is only a hundred years since the west had made serious steps to begin tackling systemic mysogony, I am hopeful that the Islamic world will eventually do the same. Other than that though my overall impression of Iraq was a spectacularly welcoming and generous society, I am sure your husband is the same! Wishing you both all the very best X
Yes Freddie this was so nice video! It takes some courage as a foreigner to go into so crowded places. That gender segregation thing is a hard bit to swallow but i think it depends on certain places in Iraq some places have it more than the others. Can i ask where is Sarah from i mean she looks like a Middle Eastern lady 😊
Hello thank you very much for your comment :) Zara is indeed from Iraq also. The gender segregation is unfortunate but does seem to be improving! In Baghdad for example they are fine with women in cafes, these things do take time I am hopeful it is just a matter of a few generations. Assalam alaikum :) please consider subscribing if you are interested in following along 👊❤️
noo bro , thats not makka of iraq , there is only one makka in Saudia arabiya in islam the worst sin ever is "assossiating partners with Allah" , and basically these people are worshiping humans ,not Allah ( i highly recommend u to stay away from these people , they might be nice , cool , what ever , but this is a veryyyy dangerous thing regarding saving the pure believe of islam dear bro ) i hope my advice will be accepted , and we love u bro may Allah guide us all

awesome insight, doesn't seem you met many other "outsiders"
Yep none at all! Felt like looking back in time, this must be a tradition that has been going on unscathed for at least 1000 years
