As an Iraq who haven't been in Iraq for more than 15 years this brings tears to my eyes.
It got me present to the greatness of these men (Imam Hussain and Imam Abas) who gave their lives hundreds of years ago for Islam and Justice. After all these years millions of people from all around the world go there to show respect. It's humbling and also a great reminder of what legacy we want to leave behind. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Even in the tomb of Imam al-Abbas, water flows beside the tomb of Imam al-Abbas and circulates around it. The soil of Imam al-Hussein on the day of his murder on the tenth of Muharram turns red.

Imam Ali describing who is GOD is the most important thing you should acquire from such visit, he is the father of Imam Hussian you both just visited recently. is GOD sitting on a chair in the sky or is GOD separated from the universe or is GOD with everything ? Is GOD mixed with the creation ? Imam Ali explains it and removes all the contradictions induced by other religions/sects.
Think of [Distance] as Logic, [Inside and outside] Logic, [mixing or separation] logic, [Space or shapes] Logic, [weight and gravity] logic. All these types of logics are applicable to everything in the universe and to us and they are essential for us to exist and to make sense of our own existing. GOD caused these types of logics to exist so that we now become capable of knowing what GOD wants us to learn about him. The existing of GOD is beyond these logics/limitations.
GOD is not divided into attributes. GOD created the logic of [attributes] and [parts] so how can something created by him become applicable to him. Even GOD's NAMES are references to him to help us relate to him, we use these NAMES to learn and connect to him in struggle and in peace moments, NAMES are not references to parts/attributes. GOD is one and he is with everything without mixing or separation or limitations. He is THE ONLY EXISTING that construct and deconstruct eternally, he is the origin of all of things and he can take away everything and reconstruct if he wills it, he gift abilities and life and take it away as he wish to see who is LEARNING and fixing up and to reward those who seek value and to punish those who are seeking harm. GOD's will is valuable and is always leading to meaningful conclusions and results. Take care.

I wish we would explain who Imam Hussain(as) and his brother Hazrat Abbas(as) is better. This was not a battle, it was the genius plan! Legendary! Imam Hussain(as) could have won the battle but he was after a continuous victory. When you know the story, you will be captured and that is the real victory.

This is the tomb of Imam Hussein and his brother Al-Abbas, peace be upon them. You should read the history of the battle of Tuff. It is a very sad story. They besieged the army of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, consisting of 70 people against 31,000 people, and they were denied water and food for three days. They killed his children and his brother until Al-Hussein remained alone against an army of 31,000. A person was killed and his neck was slit from behind so that he could suffer more. The story is called a kinder battle

Unfortunately, Al-Hussein - may God be pleased with him - was deceived by the people of Kufa, and he marched to them after many of those close to him warned him against leaving. cause they know of the betrayal of the Shiites of Iraq, until Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, said to him: “Would you walk to a people who killed their emir, controlled their country, and exiled their enemy? They only called you to war and fighting, and there is no security for you that they will deceive you, lie to you, contradict you, and let you down, and that they mobilize against you and be the most severe of people against you..."
The treachery of the Shiites of the people of Kufa appeared despite their correspondence with Al-Hussein even before he reached them. Rather, they denied their promises to Al-Hussein, may God be pleased with him.
Al-Hussein, may God be pleased with him, said about the people of Kufa before his martyrdom: “O God, if you give them pleasure, then divide them into factions, and make them different paths, and never satisfy their rulers, for they called us to help us, then they attacked us and killed us.”
