WOW!! AMAZING SCORE!! just an fyi ive heard you can use 409 cleaner to test Bakelite. a little on a Q-tip will turn yellow if its Bakelite. I haven't tried it myself but got that tip from a really good source. Thanks for sharing.
WOW! When u open that box, my eyes popped out! There are $200 -$300 bangles in there. And a few that might (?) go $500 - $1,000 and BEYOND? A Vintage multi colored & Red Bakelite bracelet was featured on Antiques Roadshow many years ago . A woman was showing her vintage Bakelite Purse collection (3) of her best. The appraisal lady appraised the purses in the mid hundreds. Then she said she noticed the collector wearing the Bakelite bracelet. The appraisal lady told her like $5,000 ! The collector was flabbergasted and was panting for air! Then She hugged the appraiser ! It was one of the more memorable AR in history. U can search on TH-cam.
Yeah I think most of the multi-color laminates and those two big bracelets are reproductions I believe. The stretch bracelets, the cream bracelets, some of the apple juice stuff, and the black/yellow are probably the only bakelite. Even so, the newer ones are still nice too and will sell but not too crazy. Thanks for watching.

Good for you! I was wondering if you were still finding garage/estate sales to go to lately since there hadn't been any videos posted. You found some neat stuff. The garage sales hear are really trailing off here. It will be mainly estate sales and thrift stores until March for me. Good luck to you this week!

where did you find the haul, and how much did you pay? you have a mix of truly old, some modern (the Lea Stein designs are 1970's I believe) brand new and some knock-offs, the 2 clamper bracelets with the rainbow colors are based on a bangle famously called the "Philadelphia" bracelet and those used to sell in the thousands, but just from the glimpse I could see in your video, the pair you showed look like plastic copies. Still, depending on what you paid, you have an impressive score (I'd love to find that Lea Stein fox--that is an iconic brooch.)
Yeah I figure there's only a handful of actual bakelite, but I mean I never see the stuff anymore. Picked it up around the corner from my house for regular plastic garage sale prices. Thanks for watching

Sobral. Very well known for his plastic designs. Just bought my first Sobral on eBay. Expect at least $50, some colorful ones go over $150.

Some designers take bakelite from old radios, etc and remake it into jewelry.
Be careful. Bakelite like any thing of value has been copied. The fact that some of your pieces look new might be because they are.
