This could be the start of a fun Toriko-themed campaign where the players' job is to hunt monsters whose body parts have magical properties and everything revolves around food.
Ever since I started my Flik Silverpen’s guide to Dragon Town Campaign, I’ve been giving out magic item cards. It’s such a neat way for players to track the unique items they’ve been given!
My favorite item i made was the "replicator scepter" it doubles magic projectiles but damage is halved, and its extremely funny if you manage to get 2 of them as they are single handed wands
That Noble Elixir for some reason reminded me of the locker from Men In Black 2 where the little alien creatures thought Kay was their god until he took back his watch then Jay donated his and they worshipped him too. I'd totally do something like that for a player. Like they open a random chest and they see statues, art, a temple, and poetry dedicated to them as well as a whole civilization of tiny creatures that say, "The Lightbringer! You've arrived! Welcome, our noble lord and protector to the land of Trayshore!"
JP these items have me so ridiculously excited to run a game that isn’t all gloom and doom for a change! The cards are amazing and I can’t wait to see what all is in the booklet!
Ok, I love doing this as well! Yours look way better, Im gonna follow your examples and spruce mine up! I use these cheap blank playing cards I got off amazon. I hand them out as not only magic items, and single use items as well. Things like food, water, bandages and torches. These are especially usefull in a resource management crawl.
I have had great use of the item cards u made for the Lost Mines of Phandelver paper minis set. Definately wanna make some more, its so much more exciting for players than just writing something down on their character sheet
Thanks a lot, dude! With great success I've been using your method for building paper minis and dungeon maps to play with my kids for a while now. Will definitely use this too :) Thanks again Only thing missing now is a custom character sheet :)
Just found your videos. Currently I am trying to make interesting and fun things for my young daughters to play RPGs together. A lot of inspiration from your videos. Nice!! 👍😃👍
I think I would be willing to pay a small fortune to have the privilege to go on an adventure DM'd by JP. Please consider doing a stream of your games sometime!
-takes the Chef's feat- Hmmm...i wonder what lovely delicacies i can make.. Adventure support with just a single feat? Its crazy good if your DM is just as invested into the idea
What game system are you using currently? Currently I am playing Dragonbane, and I am thinking that using this template would be great for the Heroic abilities. Also the system doesnt have any magic items and suggests you make your own, so this might be fun.
I play in an ongoing Shadow of the Demon Lord game but don’t have an ongoing campaign of my own at the moment. Starting a new one soon and thinking about using Dragonbane!

U kinda just described Wilderfeast!
Man I loved Toriko! Might be time for a rewatch! :)
I really like the idea of the back pack.

i was just thinking about using cards for my game. had no idea what kind of cards. you really helped me out once again.
This is "So, so cool" like you said. Love, love, love it!
great idea. cards could be extended to many things. the hand drawn touch is awesome.
Really like the idea with cards like that for stuff. There are games out there that already incorporate it. For example; The Troubleshooters.

I really enjoyed all of your videos so far. I didn't even started to draw yet, still I can't get enough of all the content you give out.
You, sir, are an absolute legend.

Hi JP Coovert, love your work. Have you thought about making a similar simple template for NPCs? (would love to see one!) Thanks for everything!
Good idea!
May I suggest an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) from my tavern , a Great Big Bowl of Dragon Buggers.
LOL, but it's really eager to turn in the PC. 5:00
Dude this is awesome! Thank you so much!
Really cool
thank you for the video, really inspirational✨
cards are the way to go :)
Thank u bro, you save my rpg
If I could draw like that, I wouldn't look for a template.
I asked my DM for a Hearty Giant Pickle, and now we have to get married.
Great
