    Thanks so much for the demo, Mindy. It's a sharp looking set up. I really like that the container is glass. That the lid locking is a safety feature. Those presets are interesting. My questions have to do with durability and warranty for the Deluxe Cooking Blender. If this product has only been available for less than a year, what is known in terms of durability {that is one of the major strengths of the VitaMix - we've had one for more than 20 years and have passed that onto the next generation}. I can like the Deluxe Cooking Blender, but how long will it last? And can you use it without using a preset setting? {nothing lasts forever, so what is the expectation for lifetime length and how are repairs managed when needed?}

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carrie O'Rourke thanks for watching!! It has a 3 year warranty so about half of what the Vitamix carries but it’s also about half the price. I have been a consultant with Pampered Chef for over 21 years and our products are built to last. I am confident in this product and I know you would be too. You can certainly use it without the preprogrammed settings. We have a pulse button and a custom blend option with 9 speeds. I would love to help you if you decide to order one. How does the volume (noise) of these two blenders compare, on similar settings? It would be nice to see/hear them both together. Thanks, Amber

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Justin Morton we actually have a noise reduction piece in the base of the blender (where the jar sits in the base). It is not as loud as the Vitamix for sure. It’s still a blender though so it isn’t going to be super quiet either.

  • @nursemichelecheng

    Hello. I own three vitamix blenders. I love two of them. Lol. I cook a lot of soups in them. I was wondering if you were familiar with the asparagus soup recipe and the butternut squash one (I think it is the holiday soup recipe) I have to steam the asparagus ahead of time and roast the butternut squash. Do you think this would cook the butternut squash so I wouldn’t have to roast it? Also did you find the strawberry jam was as good as cooking it on the stove method? Lastly, do you think vitamix makes this blender for Pampered Chef? Thank you so much.

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Michele Cheng our blender is not made by Vitamix and you could absolutely make those soup recipes without having to steam or roast the vegetables first. Our blender has a soup setting and it controls the temperature so you do not have to pre cook the food. I made a sweet potato soup recipe a couple of weeks ago and placed uncooked sweet potatoes in the blender container and it cooks them and purées them. As for the jam/jelly it’s amazing how delicious it is and I found it to be just as good if not better than stove top jam/jellies.
      Our jam/jelly setting is a patent pending setting (& also our sauce setting). I’ve had my Vitamix for over 7 years and I didn’t think anything could be better but the Deluxe Cooking Blender from Pampered Chef is hands down the best blender on the market. If you need any additional help please let me know. You can also order the blender here: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/mindymussell/shop/Cookware/Cookware/Deluxe+Cooking+Blender/100125

    New subscriber to your channel. I have had a Vitamix for a little over 20 years and make peanut butter often. What I dislike about it though is the difficult cleanup after making peanut butter. Putting in a few drops of Dawn and some water doesn’t clean the nooks and crannies by the blades, so I have to then hand wash it and try to get everything clean. Very frustrating. Have you used your PC blender in the cleaning mode after making a nut butter? If so, does it clean all around those blades and in the difficult parts? Thanks so much. Linda Hardesty

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI Linda!! Welcome. I LOVE making nut butter in my blender and the heated wash cycle will get every drop of butter off the blades. I used my Vitamix many times to make peanut butter and the cleaning was always a chore. I would love to help you get a Deluxe Cooking Blender if you're interested and I'll help you with anything you need once you get it. Hi there, I just came across your video. Is it necessary to clean for that long in the PC blender after each use?
    I know with my Vita Mix it’s just water a drop or two of dish soap and blend on high and it’s clean. I loved your video.

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Creosote! I'm so glad you found me. It is not necessary to run the full cycle. However, the reason it takes longer to run the full cycle compared to the vitamix is that our blender heats the water to 140 degrees first then blends to clean. With the vitamix, you're not getting the heated wash effect just spinning soapy water. Most things would be fine if you just add water and soap and use custom blend but peanut butter and other messy foods will clean up better with the heated wash cycle. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      Hi Christine
      I because they pitcher is glass it is heavier than a traditional plastic blender container but I don’t think it’s too heavy. If it’s full I suggest using 2 hands to pour hot liquids

  • @erikamunoz3673

    Hi! :)
    Quick question: what do you do next to finish cleaning your PC Blender? In your video you show us how it self cleans with 3 cups of water and 2 drops of soap, but do you just dump the water at the end and rinse the glass with clean water after?

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Erika! that is correct, you just pour out the soapy water, rinse and dry off. Then it's ready for the next use. I hope you'll join my recipe community for more recipes, give aways and more. www.theflipflopchef.com

    When I searched "pampered chef deluxe cooking blender vs vitamix" in Google 3 youtube videos showed up, 2 of them were from "Pampered Chef" so I figured they'd be biased. I saw this video from you, and I figured it'd be an impartial review, but the second I started to watch it I saw you wearing a Pampered Chef apron so I could already tell which Blender you were going to be in favor of. But in order to make a vs video you really should include info and pro's and con's of both blenders. You hardly spent anytime on the Vitamix blender.
    I agree in terms of features the Pampered Chef model has more, but I have a $150 Ninja blender which we've used multiple times daily for the last 6 months and the motor is already beginning to make strange noises. What I like about the Vitamix is that it's built for longevity. Long term, heavy usage, it's supposedly very durable; the parts they put inside it are all top quality, they didn't skimp on any of the components (ie using plastic instead of metal, or not putting enough grease on the moving parts, or using cheap grease, etc. etc.). I mean for that insane price they better not have right? So since the Pampered Chef is so much cheaper than the Vitamix, but still more expensive than others like my Ninja, how is the build quality? The durability of the inside components, etc.? Will it take the same long term punishment that a Vitamix can handle?

    • @TheFlipFlopChef
      @TheFlipFlopChef  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      glitchsys thanks so much for watching. I’ve been with Pampered Chef for almost 21 years and this is the first time I’ve done a side by side comparison with another brand. The reason I did this is because I didn’t think ANYTHING could be better than the Vitamix. I have had my blender for 3 months and I have used it more in that time than I ever did my Vitamix in a year. It has so many more features and is simply amazing. The fact that you can make jelly/jam and sauces is something no other blender can do. While we haven’t sold this one long enough for me to answer your question about longevity I can say that it has a 3 year warranty and I’m confident in the quality of items coming from Pampered Chef because I still have products from 1995 from the first party I attended. We also offer free returns in the first 30 days so if you decide to get a blender I would love to help you order one. I also have a recipe group on Facebook where I share everything I test. sorry I meant separate - found your videos though :). and facebook groups. Thank you. Can you tell me about yogurt starter - is that any already made yogurt? And can you make a non-dairy yogurt. I have both the blender and quick cooker

      S Alicia oh I’m so sorry I misunderstood. The yogurt starter is just a couple of tablespoons of yogurt that has already been made. You can buy a carton at the store to start and then you could use the yogurt you make as the next starter.

    Is really wasn’t a fair comparison. You’re comparing a PC blender that has presets and dinging the Vitamix for not having those when Vitamix makes the Ascent 3500 that has those features as well. I like pampered chef products but very disappointed in how people are not giving true comparisons to vitamix to make PC look better.

      I’m so sorry you didn’t appreciate the comparison. I can only compare the one that I had and the price is still half of the Ascent 3500. I appreciate you taking time to watch and hope you enjoy some of my other videos!
      Keep in mind that Pampered Chef’s Deluxe Cooking Blender has patent pending settings for Jam and Sauce so it really sets it apart from the rest.

    Ridiculous. Your blender spent so much time just to heat up and clean, and still you had to wipe the top. Well you could have cleaned out and rinsed out the Vitamix and made more smoothies or soups etc. Not a produce l would be interested in investing my dollars in. Thanks for demonstrating it’s features.

      Hi Melody, thanks for watching! The difference is that the Deluxe Cooking Blender actually heats the water to 140 degrees with a heating element (like a dishwasher) vs the Vitamix heating the water with friction. The best comparison for me is how easy it is to clean after making something like peanut butter. I used my Vitamix for peanut butter regularly and the cleaning was so difficult because the water never really got hot enough in the blender to release much of the peanut butter from the blades. With the Deluxe Cooking Blender the hot water was hot enough to release the peanut butter from the blades and I don't have to get my hands around them. There is never any pressure to purchase items that I demonstrate. If you're happy with your Vitamix, keep using it! I loved mine for many years until I found an alternative that I enjoy more.
