Most high powered blenders clean this way in that you do not remove the blades (very very sharp). My Vitamix has to be cleaned the same way (minus the heated function of this one; have to add hot water myself).

No, for yogurt you need to get a multi cooker like an instant pot or the PC multi cooker or, my personal favorite, the Mealthy Multi-pot 2.0.
