@zlanc Ya I picked up the Razer ripsaw and it isn't great. The audio slowly gets more and more out of sync as time goes on and I had to restart it repeatedly. Upgraded to Windows 10 and went back to elgato and no issues
Notice how he never bothered plugging in a headset, Razer Ripsaw is a rip off. Believe me I’ve ran through 3 different headsets trying to fuck with audio. Can’t run it from PS / XBOX > PC & hear shit. Best advice I got, Go buy an Elgato

This is more meant for 2 pcs or concole. No need to get a capture card for single pc. And the system will work but you will need to test to see what your cpu will be able to handle.

Probably not but still depends on the settings you stream at. I use to use my 1920X threadripper for my streaming pc so i can take encoding down to medium speed. But with gaming it either had to be faster or very fast depending on the game.

To everyone asking if its good to record desktop, you can just use obs to record and have control on how to view the desktop. Its also free and rather easy to use
This still works with OBS, it takes the strain from streaming off of your gaming pc by sending video to a dedicated streaming computer. OBS on its own is great when you're starting out and will do what you need it to, until you start running DSLR cameras and multiple overlays etc. This just lets you add as much as you want without reducing your gaming experience

If it worked it would be great. But I've had nothing but issues that I have to spend ten minutes fixing before every stream and even then during the stream random video or audio issues just pop up without warning.

Old comment I know, but in case anyone else sees this comment and is still wondering, there isn't a reason to get in in such case as what this does is transport the video card output from one to another. You don't have a need to pass the video off if you don't have another machine to pass the video to.

Yes, the intended use for something like this is to have either a 2 pc setup or a streaming pc and whatever console you want to hook up to it.

Of course your can connect your monitor to pc dirctly, however connecting your monitor via the capture card significantly reduces latency issues
