I thought the same thing and then, in more confusing news, just happened to notice in one video that her real name is Melana. I'm not even positive about that or how you spell it. It's OK. I have an unusual name too and pronounce it in an unusual way so confusion is par for the course for me, too.
I can't tell any difference at all just by looking definitely not a $500 difference. If there was a hair tool that was actually worth that big of a price tag I would possibly consider it, this just isn't it plus it's too heavy and bulky for my think hair and bad back. My favorite thing about it being cordless, I'm betting will be seeing more and more.
Just received my Dyson Love the fact it is cordless. It also has a sound indicator that it is ready and you can hear it throughout the house. And the cords are soft . Being cordless you have more moveability and now I don't have the cord hanging on my wall. The heating plates won't harm your hair. You can also regulate the temperature.
Ya I agree I feel like we've seen this before . And I also have a question . When you turned up the Dyson did you turn up the bio ionic as well ? Or was that left at 360? Because that would possibly explain some things!
Defective battery - twice! I purchased my Corrale in March 2020 and it stopped working in 2021. Dyson indicated the battery issue was not repairable and they sent a a refurbished unit as a replacement. The replacement had the same battery issue and died in March 2023. Spent $500 on a device that didn’t even last 3 full years.
I’ve used the original GHD straighteners for YEARS! They were the only straighteners that would make my curly hair stay straight. I do need to upgrade but don’t think these Dyson one would be the replacement.
Gosh I’m glad I watched this. I’ve been really tempted. I was cringing watching you pull the Dyson through... like it did not want to go through. But the end result was gorgeous. Is it worth the money?
I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT REVIEWS!! I do think it’s OVERPRICED... for someone who always doesn’t have the funds to purchase a luxury brand but wants to invest in a awesome product. Thank you for these videos they really do save me when I ask myself if it’s worth it. I know I can always come to this channel to help me make those decisions.
Omg yesss We/some have already watched this but it got taken down for some odd reason so she posted it again don’t understand why she’s getting hate for that jeez
All dyson batteries are designed to be kept charging at all times. That is what I do with my cordless vaccum, and I have never had any problems. Also for $500, I would return that scratched flat iron for a new one. At that price, it needs to be perfect!
Took an hour to do what my cheap straightener (1/10th the cost) does in 15 minutes, primarily because the charge ran out in 10 minutes when i was done styling only 1/3rd of my hair. Plugged in to finish the rest and it refused to heat up, with the power button going off repeatedly, blinking every 5 minutes. I kept it aside to charge for 5/10/15 minutes and then re-start but faced the same issue... Resulting in an hour wasted and half-done hair. Talking to the customer care service today, i was told to use it in plugged mode for charging and not full use- who has that kind of time always? Sometimes you just want to plug and start right away! The cordless feature should be a bonus, not the primary form of use. Pros: i definitely didn't get that burnt hair smell while using it and it gave some volume to my hair, instead of making it flat like other straighteners. Major cons are the charging issues and the weight of the device ( my neck is strained since last night). It also heats up in the lower half- battery area after some time, making it uncomfortable to hold! The time taken waiting for it to charge to become usable just isn't worth it! And the neck sprain and hand spasm lasted a week because of how heavy it was! Return took ages and the refund happened after 6-7 weeks of follow up. I'm a huge airwrap fan and had high hopes from this one, but was really disappointed!
I was seriously thinking on saving to get one of their cordless vacuums. THANK YOU for saying they suck. Everyone seems to worship Dyson a little too much, then. Although, a 500 dlls iron is just bonkers. With all that's going on in the world, I rather eat and pay my bills that straighten my hair. Thank you, Milabu, for the review!
@@briannashearer85 Yeah, plus she talks about testing it out in store in this video and we all know that Sephora and Ulta have been shut down for weeks now.
Brianna Shearer looking at the “scratch” closer, I think it might be an indicator of where the plates begin so you can tell where the sections of hair need to come. It looks too intentional to be a huge straight scratch.
Bummed that Dyson hair tools aren’t dual voltage which means you can’t use it overseas with an adapter. You would need a converter and that would be a gamble risking damaging the product. When I moved from the US to the UK I had to sell my dryer because Dyson said not to use a converter. T3 curling irons are dual voltage so I can use it when I travel back to the states and use an adapter here. Curious to know how long it holds the charge. If it’s Iike a NuFACE you can take it on a week trip and not have to recharge it.
It doesn’t take me more than 20 minutes to flat iron my very thick, course, mid-back-length hair. Curling would be different, but straightening my straight hair is pretty quick.
So on March 17th she posted the curling her hair with the Dyson flat iron video. And in the very beginning she says that " if you have seen my first video, you know that I said I wanted to curl my hair with the dyson flat iron". Which means that she did indeed post a video of her using the dyson flat iron to straighten her hair prior to March 17th. So why is she re-uploading videos? Or making another one of this supposedly being her first time using it?
I need to know, do you return that $500 item after the review? I mean, what if you didn’t like it enough to keep? $500 is so much money!! Especially since it came scratched n
The resistance is just bothersome even if the straightner is good but still to me it's a huge disadvantage That's the main reason why I changed my straightner
I'm pretty sure about a week ago when searching for this Dyson I saw her video review, than last week youtube suggested another video of hers using the dyson to curl her hair and people on that video where asking her about the 1st video reviewing the straightner because it was no longer showing up.
I have the airwrap and I can not do all that she does because my hair is shorter. I think they both have merit. She has a video using the airwrap like a wand for the beach waves…. But my hair is not long enough yet. If your hair is longer, I would get the airwrap.
It's not a scratch its an indicator it's on all the models, they claim to only last 30 mins so the fact you got to 45 mins that's actually a plus. I still wouldn't spend the money on them when we've got Cloud9 and GHD's that provide less damaging models too for a fraction of the price.
For all the comments mentioning this already being posted before. One was a review with her using it to curl the hair while this one is for straightening the hair.
Greetings from Texas, beautiful Milana! I need advice from you and/or the ladies and gentlemen on this channel. My hair is almost the exact color and texture of yours and I'd like to know if you had to pick a straightening tool among the Revlon One-Step Dryer and Volumizer, the Tymo Ionic Straightening Brush (the newest model) or the original Tymo Ring, which one would you choose? I'm 65 years old and my hair is mid-length, barely touching the top of my shoulders. This is probably the longest my hair has even been, because I have worn some version of the very short pixie 99% of my life. I can only afford one straightener (I have cancer and the cost of the meds is outrageous), and there's no way I could spend $500 on the Dyson. Thanks to anyone and everyone who could offer their opinion(s)!! P.S. Milana, you are positively glowing! Motherhood looks wonderful on you!! xoxo
Ally Katt in the same boat. They’ve got me twice for the dryer and the air wrap. Clearly I think I need this too if I’m watching this video. Wonder if it’s it’s dual voltage.
Ally Katt I also read the charge doesn’t last long so you have to charge it if you want to take it on trips where the electrical current is different from your home country, then that’s a problem. I love my airwrap too. Sometimes I want a different curl look so I switch to my T3 curling iron. I had no problem investing in more T3 attachments since it’s dual voltage.
@@sandrar6670 I have the T3 also and the dual voltage is one of the reasons I purchased it. Haven’t been traveling in the past year but I agree it was worth it. I liked her because she was real. What happened to her? I know this review was already posted. I get it, really I do but it makes me kind of sad. I'm not going to stop supporting you, just know many of us are with you
The price is ridiculous! I also think it looks very bulky and heavy. I would prefer a lighter hair tool with cord than a heavy cordless one, but that's just me. 🤷🏻♀️

Maybe she's had her baby and is trying to keep posting stuff to always have content 🤷♀️
It was her curling with the dyson not straightening.
@@amandapalacios1719 no, it was a review of the straightener.
Was definitely the straightener, just checked Facebook and she uploaded this exact review on March 13th, so maybe I saw it there and she hadn't already posted it here?
@@amiamalteaser it was posted here. I don't follow her on facebook.
Ghd is the best ❤❤❤
Please try the LOREAL STEAM POD!!!!!
I liked her because she was real. What happened to her? I know this review was already posted. I get it, really I do but it makes me kind of sad. I'm not going to stop supporting you, just know many of us are with you
U show us better irons.. next time try steampod 3.0 l'oreal they say it's good ... maybe u cand do a video about. 😘😘😘
That line isn't a scratch. It belongs there.
The price is ridiculous! I also think it looks very bulky and heavy. I would prefer a lighter hair tool with cord than a heavy cordless one, but that's just me. 🤷🏻♀️
When’s the baby coming?
My $50 hair straightener give me the same result TBH 🤷🏻♀️
I’m not going to spend $500 on a hair straightener, this is ridiculous.
I can swear I already watched this video on her channel before.
