Man, seeing all these old mods again. They really are awesome, shame some of them are lost and others are hard to find. Feels like looking at a time capsule.
I love around 1:24, where it shows the better night sky, you can hear some guy fighting. xD Wonderful mods show. You've given me quite a few more to play with. :)
Great and helpful video, saw this a while ago but didn't think much of mods at the time. A few of these really swayed my decisions. Especially that natural environments, and illumination within, really makes the game so much prettier. And No Psychic guards is a must for any thief/assassin character. Glad you included fluff friendly mods as well as "sexy", and funny ones.
Yes it does. The whole town isn't build immediately though, some parts will only be build up by doing some related quests that are also added with the mod.
These mods are so professionally made. Whoever made them are brilliant. They just make the game so more realistic and funner to play. Bethesda can learn some stuff from these creators.
Theres a mod called Open Cities that makes it so that the cities are automatically loaded into the main map - no loading screen when you go to open the gates to Skingrad or the Imperial City. Its all already pre-loaded. But the thing is, the initial loading screen is much longer and FPS goes down pretty bad. Also, creatures can go into the towns and kill quest NPCs. But it makes it so that you can jump over the walls if you're able, or fly a mount into the city onto buildings and shit.
I did look, in fact I'm using many of your recommendations and appreciate the time and effort you put into this upload. But I'm not talking about JQ's Collectible TShirts, I'm asking about the gloves/pants which I can't find attribution for in the description. Oh well, it's not too important, thanks anyway.
oolaalaa, this makes me reinstall, been like 3 years since I last played :D Tho, I played the vanilla version, I'd love to try those mods out. Sweet video.
Hi Murulo. :) If you don't mind the question, what mod adds the gloves and pants your character is wearing at the end? Thanks, loved the video! Great recommendations and lots of info in the descrip. Well worth the time to investigate these. :)
ah illumination within and to be able to hear rain and thunder inside did so much for my experience. Almost dont wanna play skyrim until some modders gets their hands on it.
When rebuilding kvatch mod, is there new quest, and people and houses added? And 120mods, how much does that slow your game? I mean it seems to run fine :) Good job.
This is great, i was looking for some more mods to put on my oblivion, already got Midas Magic, now i know of some other good ones to add. Which mod adds that timer for spell effects? that would be much nicer than the standard bar thing
I just love Bethesda Softworks, they make the game for YOU pretty much. You can skip the main quest if you want, travel randomly if you want, interact with everyone if you want. They even encourage mods for the game lol. If I remember correctly, when Bethesda makers were talking about Skyrim they said something like, "We can't wait to see what mods people will make with our new engine in the game." Massive respect to them, fucking love you Bethesda!!!
@Murulo This is actually built off of the same physics engine as HL2, so it's exactly the same. There seem to be tons of games where you can pick up items telekinetically, because the devs are too lazy to actually make an animation. E.G. repairing the barricades in Nazi Zombies.
I found a Mod that allows you to change any npc's inventory, its called Active Inventory, Just search active inventory at tes nexus, It is one of my top recommended mods!
Though the nights in my natural environments aren't nearly as dark as the ones you're having even though I'm using the darker nights version. Not asking for support or anything (since annoying questions was pretty much the reason you made the video), but did you do anything different or am I just seeing differences that aren't there?
I cant wait till i replace my vista wit xp (vista messes alot of stuff up) and i can get mods, i got over like 80 mods lined up, this helped alot, i love the natural enviorments.
@vampire89872 figured it out- alot simpler now that i think of it, just allowing winrar as a trusted program and got to the data folder in a different way and also allowed uh hidden files to show. BUT I thank you for the suggestion.
thanks man, I hope you're right because mods are one of the best things on this game :D but I dled the vaults of cyrodill cuz a friend recommended it but it didn't seem to have worked... is there a special location for the vaults? also all that it took was a small file put in the data section of oblivion... maybe i installed it wrong? but still, thanks for the responses, everyone! I'm gonna go get some now
@Sentsas No. You need to understand that viruses aren't common from sites. It's a rarity that you get a virus. Also remember that any virus downloads must either be from a mod creator or the website themselves, and the Oblivion/Morrowind modding community and its respective websites are very friendly. They dedicate time to creating great mods - they don't put viruses on PCs. If you're that concerned use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer and get AVG Security (all free) for an impenetrable PC.
You know it might be possible to mod the 360. If you had a flash drive and you really know what you are doing. I wouldn't know what I was doing, but someone might be able to do it. You would have to get the 360 to recognize the content on the flash drive as uploaded content for Oblivion, and I would suggest not being connected to xbox live if you want to mod your 360.
@Chillsilla travel 2 the university and then turn right, their should be a door with a bell next 2 it. go in their and you'll find midas and you can get your magic :)
@BeastModeEngaged1 Todd Howard has more than enough resources to get it done. After all, he IS Todd Howard, and he does come through most of the time (excluding the damned horse armor...don't know what was happening there).
@BeastModeEngaged1 Eventually, yes, we will be getting it. At least, that's what Todd Howard claims. Don't know if he's just tugging at our heart strings, but it would be nice.
@Warbearer567 yea thanx and I will keep an eye out for this game I do hope they where being ignorant but there where a lot of people saying its now a dead project. but it looked so awesome I was left speechless. only thing I could think was: if this game comes out and for any reason my pc cant handle it I am willing to spent as much money as it takes to have those graphics : P it looks great I hope they finish it!
do you use the oblivion mod manager for your mods?? if you dont use the OMM then i have a question....how do you make all of the freekin files go into the right folders in the oblivion data file? am i making sense? you can tell that i dont know much about modding. thanks.
@pinoyboygotswag Im new to mods too, but i'll help as much as I can to my extent of knowledge to it. Try this: 1. Unzip the package 2. Copy and Paste the files into the install directory (Most commonly known as "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\" I hope this helps you, i've had the same problem before but I kept reinstalling the file and eventually got it to work.
@Amelliea yeah, PC beats out the console editions, mainly because you can get mods like the ones in this video (and others). I have the console version but in about two days I'll get my hands on a PC version and mod it up.
@mearsybear2k9 Wait: I know that FilePlanet costs, like, $20/month for a golden membership or whatever, but, does TESNexus require a paid subscription?
i dont have half of the mods shown in here so i wanted to ask something about 1 the kvatch rebuild. with that mod is there normal merchant houses like the other cities? can u buy a house there as well?
@ybawther hashshashin was the original assassin, they were fighters who ate hashish to celebate the release of a life unto death, then the following day they would commit their act/ the first "assassins" were arabic, and the original word was hashshashin, its just english bastardizes most every word from other locations and simplified it to "assassin" because it was easier to say. so yes it is assassin armor. only it is using the original and true name for the group of people who would wear it.
@SCIENTIST619 You can download and use as many mods as you like. The only time a mod will inflict another mod is if, for example, Mod A and Mod B both are re-skins for a certain object / item in the game. OR there IS THE OCCASIONAL TIME where one mod is just plain incompatible with another mod due to either unknown reasons or data within the game being changed by both Mod A and Mod B at the same time. (More than two mods can also cause the problem). Download oblivion mod manager for easy install
What about active inventory ( i thinks that is what it's called correct me if im wrong) thats a good mod especially if you want to steal the weapons from the arena, you just put on the spell and cast it on the person wearing the item. E.G. Emperors robes just cast a spell and then steal it but it isnt even classed as stealing.
Is every jump a flip? As nice as those flips look, they should be made as a kind of double tap jump, otherwise it just looks ridiculous when you want to get on top of any small thing and you do a flip to do so.
@rand0mst0rm Try this: "Operation Optimization v.1.1.1" just try searching that on the tesnexus. All it does is improve the meshes so they won't slow the fps down dramatically if you see some crazy grass on the ground. You could also turn off HDR if it's on.
the kvatch rebuild looks wonderful, do you need to do a quest for it to be rebuilt? because that only makes sense... I got the steam version of oblivion game of the year and a friend told me that mods don't work on the steam version... now I haven't really tried any mods (yet) but I hope someone can confirm that or better yet tell it's not true...
The xbox version as a game, especially with the expansion packs, is still great. I wish so bad that i had gotten it for PC. eh well. still a GREAT game.
hey, you know the mods are not zip files? because of that i cannot open them with winzip. could you tell me another place where i can open those mods that are different type mods? thanks!
@TheITzZ I already figured the problem- the program needed to be administrator and a few other things besides this. Your comment though, it would not have helped in the slightest. All you did was repeat what I just said didn't work.
Man, seeing all these old mods again. They really are awesome, shame some of them are lost and others are hard to find. Feels like looking at a time capsule.

Glad you included fluff friendly mods as well as "sexy", and funny ones.
Thank you so much Murulo for posting this video!, this is the first Omod video i've seen and it inspired me to try installing mods.
Omg. the madloop and oblivion replacement logo owns.
Yes it does. The whole town isn't build immediately though, some parts will only be build up by doing some related quests that are also added with the mod.
These mods are so professionally made. Whoever made them are brilliant. They just make the game so more realistic and funner to play. Bethesda can learn some stuff from these creators.
That Akatosh mount has the best wing animation ive seen so far.
Its good to know somebody shared the ultimate oblivion experience aint it murulo?
Theres a mod called Open Cities that makes it so that the cities are automatically loaded into the main map - no loading screen when you go to open the gates to Skingrad or the Imperial City. Its all already pre-loaded.

some of these things are so simple (like the illuminated windows) but so nice!
A very good video. I'm careful with mods (because I don't want to ruin the game), but most of these mods actually improves the game.
oolaalaa, this makes me reinstall, been like 3 years since I last played :D Tho, I played the vanilla version, I'd love to try those mods out. Sweet video.
The Lost Spires is the SHIT... such a great mod. Awesome video!!!
Omg the start up video is SOOOOO EPIC.
Rebuilding Kvatch is probably the coolest thing I've seen yet.
Hi Murulo. :) If you don't mind the question, what mod adds the gloves and pants your character is wearing at the end? Thanks, loved the video! Great recommendations and lots of info in the descrip. Well worth the time to investigate these. :)
really nice compilation. good work man
tesnexus.
the greatest mods for oblivion
There are fighting sounds in the background when you're admiring the night sky... lol
Nice set of mods, I'll download them once I finish the normal game ;)
the menu replacement is sick
subscribing now! nice man! u actually made the characters look better without totally ruining it with overly fanticized sexiness like others!
ah illumination within and to be able to hear rain and thunder inside did so much for my experience. Almost dont wanna play skyrim until some modders gets their hands on it.
That "Glad I don't have an Xbox" text on the T-shirt made my day! xDD
finally a vid with no unnessassary music
I just love your videos.
*adds to favorites*
I'm glad I have the game on PC. ^_^
Yes, it's called "bag of holding" -allows you to carry all your items in a "bag of holding"
very nice compilation, thanks for sharing...my only concern is if TNR all races is compatible with ren's beauty pack?
When rebuilding kvatch mod, is there new quest, and people and houses added? And 120mods, how much does that slow your game? I mean it seems to run fine :) Good job.
i like how the hashshashin armor is clearly assasin armor only with lots of H's
Riding Dragons and awesome jumps is all fun and good, but clear water DAMN THATS A USEFUL MOD!
Amazing, I hope they learn from this when making the next Elder Scrolls game!
Nice Mods:). Could you possibly link me to Let the People Drink and Hashasim armor? If not, at least the site you got them from?
This is great, i was looking for some more mods to put on my oblivion, already got Midas Magic, now i know of some other good ones to add. Which mod adds that timer for spell effects? that would be much nicer than the standard bar thing

I currently have it on computer and it rules! im going to start installing mods when i get xp, im very excited :P

Let the people drink,Midas magic, that castle and every one of these i've tried are amazing. Thx I found a couple on this vid.
LOVE the akotosh mount!!! shame i got 360 version :(
I liked the natural environment and the windows
Watching this video reminds me why I love Oblivion :-)
the mushroom cloud spell was badass
I cant wait till i replace my vista wit xp (vista messes alot of stuff up) and i can get mods, i got over like 80 mods lined up, this helped alot, i love the natural enviorments.
Thanks, some of these I haven't seen yet.
Lol, in the darker nights showcase, you can hear something being killed by an imperial guard.
I have subscribed because you didn't have some fucking heavy metal blaring just the game sounds. Thank you.
Depends on your PC, other mods active and such. Also, it seems likely that the Kvatch mod may screw around with the story a bit
@vampire89872 figured it out- alot simpler now that i think of it, just allowing winrar as a trusted program and got to the data folder in a different way and also allowed uh hidden files to show. BUT I thank you for the suggestion.

Which songs did you use in your video where you replaced the world music?
@ToxicAngelification And also, what music is that at 0:46? Like, what's it called?
Holy... You look just like me with shadow akatosh mount and crimson hashasin armor O_O
first view!
Awesome mods. your editing the info on the video right?
i love the mount, and i LOVE the assasins creed jump. AC FTW!, infact, i love all of em, judos goes out to the creators!
sweet,i got the akatosh mount too
Illumination within was cool but there was a lot of floating windows when it was installed. Are those fixed?
Where do you download the Collectible T-Shirts mod, I can't find it on tesnexus, is it available on any other mod site?
@Warbearer567 yea thanx and I will keep an eye out for this game I do hope they where being ignorant but there where a lot of people saying its now a dead project. but it looked so awesome I was left speechless. only thing I could think was: if this game comes out and for any reason my pc cant handle it I am willing to spent as much money as it takes to have those graphics : P it looks great I hope they finish it!

@Enurgyze enemies lvl up with you, if you console a high lvl; they'll have a high lvl also like guards, guards will always be 5-10 levels above you.
Did you check out any of Simyaz's quest mods?
Hey! I have Oblivion for PC and Xbox and both are awesome!
could you link me the kvatch aftermath? I checked teh site but there are lots of kvatchs. Great video btw
kickass mods man this is sweet!!
@pinoyboygotswag Im new to mods too, but i'll help as much as I can to my extent of knowledge to it. Try this:

Does Eye Candy interfere with voice and lips animation?
I have the french version of oblivion and beautifulpeople mod destroyed the voice files.
on one of the Loading screens(from the loadign screen mod)is a bow that is made out of sticks of wood. Where can i find this mod for that bow??
i dont have half of the mods shown in here so i wanted to ask something about 1 the kvatch rebuild. with that mod is there normal merchant houses like the other cities? can u buy a house there as well?
These mods and skullsy's are TEH WINZ!!

How did you lift that guy at 2:28 so high? I have that mod too but i can't.......
with the kvatch rebuilt one, does it get rebuilt after u help kvatch or is it a mod that destroys that part of the main quest??

What PC specs would run Oblivion the best for all these mods/ regular gameplay?
in the data map then go to your oblivion launcher and under data files you can click them and use them
I searched for the natural environment mod at Nexus, and i wonder if the Kibosh one contains darker nights?
the kvatch rebuild looks wonderful, do you need to do a quest for it to be rebuilt? because that only makes sense...

How do you get the map and Oblivion logo change to work? do you have to put it in a different folder or what?
