It was so nice meeting you yesterday! Definitely check out the smaller LECA sizes - I use the 8-16mm Liaflor clay pebbles almost exclusively now, along with pon, and my plants love it. I've never had any issues with root rot or anything with the smaller air gaps either. Definitely recommend!!! Also - where did you get your anthurium crystal mag lux? I can't find one ANYWHERE :(

Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing your experience at the plant show, love those frog planters. Your phal Yaphon pink is very similar to Bronze maiden and I'm guessing a good candidate for semi hydro. Your best chance for an orchid to adopt quickly in semihydro is to convert them when they have green root tips. They will adopt easily and grow well in semihydro. Now is the best time to convert them. However you need to wash leca and soak them in low TDS water such as reverse osmosis water for a week or two to remove all extra salt in the leca and then orchids will grow well in it. I have a Bronze maiden that grows well in semihydro. You can check my channel and my orchid spotlight and you'll find it. Happy growing 😊

Love the chaotic energy 😆💛 Since you expect to collect the closed sinus Anthurium: if you like the texture of vittarifolium with its sharp vein at all, I highly recommend the peltigerum. Mine hasn't even recovered from shipping yet and it's already one of my favourite plants! It traveled well, but I suspect the roots had gotten a bit too dry and I broke loads (tbh probably too many😅) of them off while removing the substrate to transfer it into pon 🙈 It hasn't lost any of its leaves despite that, though!

I've bought two beautiful orchids from them (one is STILL throwing out buds and blooms for 6 weeks!) and a couple of hoya from them that were large cuttings that are doing great. I bookmarked a couple of vendors while watching so I can do some shopping. Your videos are always entertaining and informative, it's great that you also give these vendors extra exposure.
