What do you do, when there are too many roots in the reservoir? Trim or repot to larger pot? My Philodendron El Choco was drinking 3 gallons of water a week. So I cut the roots, no shock. It’s in a Lechuza Pot 2” Pon and Aroid mix. Living room setting. I’m June in My Junegle 🪴

Im glad that you grow plants in your environment condition....no need for cabinet or grow tents....i have no grow lights either, just my windows...plants are not 100% of our lives, we have families, friends, work, challengies and other hobbies or things and experiences that make us happy...we need all of them to live fully👍

Kevin, thank you for mentioning that you struggle with baby Anthuriums 'cause me too! They're just a lot more fragile than the adults. I'll have them in the same conditions but I've lost no adults and yet hve loast like 4/5 baby anthuriums so far. Please let me know what you're changing to hellp with that :( I tried growing them in little cloches but they rotted away from too much humidity, so I wonder if it's like a goldilocks situation where they can't be too dry but can't be too wet either. Excited to see you chop the Thai! Did you ever try the fruit?

Is there any way you could get a shot of what your apartment window looks like from the outside with all the plants? Obviously without doxxing yourself 🤣 but I'd love to know how much is actually concealed by all the leaves!

That last plant I think it went into dormancy because of the cold, which made the roots stop taking up water. The soil stayed too wet for dormancy and then it rotted.

Hey Kevin how do you deal with that yellowing on the edges of your older anthurium leaves (specifically the red crystal X super red you have) Is it a fungal/root rot issue? I’ve recently gotten a bunch of anthuriums from a closing plant store they started doing that right after I brought them home.🤷🏽‍♂️

If you use silica balance PH directly after. I was doing it all at the end and it caused lockout. Scorched a few of my leaves 😢 Love the videos, thanks Kevin!

Hiiii Kevin, just an idea about your BMF. Cal/mag is mostly only available to the plants around 6-7 pH. Maybe the one in leca has been sitting too acidic and not swinging up to 7 like your pon plants would from the buffers? Idk just a thought😆🫶🏻

I thought you were on break? Don't neglect your mental well being. I've been binging your BMF videos as I bought an unrooted (fresh) cut and I’ve been freaking out waiting for its roots to grow, LOL. 😂

Is it just me and my computer or are your videos a lot darker than they used to be?

Generally I find the EC of the nutrient solution can get too high as the plant uses more water than nutrient, causing the concentration increasing, which might not affect pH. Basically overfeeding the plant. Invest in a blulab CF Truncheon. Love your content as always ❤

Don’t do silica! It’s sucks and just screws up your ph levels.

I would say the last baby anthurium ,the media is too soggy,especially given the fact it’s on a cool shelf…just my opinion.

I have several heat mats for my more delicate plants. I’d recommend getting them for your bottom shelves. That way you can be comfortable and the plants can be happy.
