Love your videos. Nice job. My only complaint about robot videos is that there isn’t enough analysis put in to how much effort it takes to maintain (clean) the base station for each of the robots. That is a big part of “living” with them and has ultimately caused the most frustration having them.
We did cover base stations here, but this is a “best of” style of video so we don’t go into a lot detail for any one robot. I try to cover base stations more deeply in videos about single products.
@vacuumnerds Hi, i just subscribed to your great videos and channel! I have one question. I am looking for 2 or 3 choices of best robot for not dinging up my furniture legs or my entertainment and home theater speakers and etc and white floorboards. Thanks (I do not need a mop but I would buy either mop or mop-less as long as it's the easiest on my furniture items)
I guess that makes me feel better about getting the non base station UBPet. But then again, one could count manually emptying the dust bin maintenance? I think the whole wet mopping adds too much complexity, water maintenance, mold, bacteria issues, as well as not getting carpets wet etc. The tech isn't there yet for mops. Self emptying, poop recognition UBPet is the next option I would have liked.
eufy x10 omni is the best for budget imo but i reccomend dreame x40 if you have curtains because its the only robot ive tested that can avoid curtains well also you forgot the mention how the dreame has an advantage over robots like the eufy that require you to buy specific floor cleaning solution for the robot vaccum while the dreame has its own compartment where you can put whatever floor cleaning or essential oils you want.
ALL I WANT IS , which one is the best on all ranges ? Also looking for robot , that will come close to the wall to pick up anything? We will be buying Vinyle Flooring (hardwood ) and I want to make sure it clean , every inch of the floor , between vacuuming and cleaning the flooring . Your help will be very appreciated , thank you . Does Dreame auto empty the water ? And the top notch vacuum /mopping Robot will make a good Christmas present too .
I ended up buying the Roborock Slim. I'm not impressed with object avoidance compared to my old Dreame Z10 Pro. But it's early days with day 1 firmware so I hope for improvement. It cleans better due to the extending arm and moppning is obviously on a different level 👌🏻 The Slim also gets under my bed! I'm happy with my purchase, it's the Master but perfected, imo.
@vacuumnerds I know it takes time doing tests and all, but it would be nice to see like either a 3 or 4 month followups on popular Robots. Just to see if there's any improvement at all, or known bugs still not being fixed.
Hi Nice comparison video. Quick question- I have wooden floors and don't want water to be used for mopping. Can I use cleaning liquids specifically made for wooden floors inside these cleaners instead of water?
Is it possible to tell the robot that specific rooms are not allowed to mop? If you tell the robot to clean the whole house and want it to remember which rooms not to mop but then vacuum and mop the rest?
@@vacuumnerds @ModernCastle how is regarding corners? And is the sidebrush able to reach under low cabinets, fx kitchen drawers which are close to the floor and a little further back than the baseboards? (Sorry hope you understand, English is not my primary language)
Most can go over a threshold of 1/3" without problem. If you have tall thresholds, the Roborock QRevo Curv lifts itself up: th-cam.com/video/b2vHwwMNrMA/w-d-xo.html
Great video. I know y’all were sponsored by Eureka on the J20 and you sorta mentioned it in passing in this video but in what tier would you put it (flagship vs mid range) and how would it stack compared to the competition?
Eureka J20 mid-range. A flagship robot will have a camera for better obstacle avoidance. It's a solid performer in pickup and mopping, but doesn't handle obstacles as well as the flagships in this test. If you can find it at a decent price, it's a good buy.

Hmmm, good question. A lot of them bump into furniture, but I haven't been keeping close track of which ones do that. I'm currently using the Narwal Freo Z, so I'll run it today and take a look if it does or not.
I'd definitely get a corded or stick vacuum as your primary, and the Narwal has very good anti tangle capabilities. The roborock QRevo curv is also good with pet hair: th-cam.com/video/b2vHwwMNrMA/w-d-xo.html

Narwal maintains its own base station eufy u basically have to clean each time u run it

2:19 The S8 MaxV Ultra you are showing does have a mop pad that extends.
Not sure if we misspoke but it definitely has an extending mop

Narwal Z is better at avoiding obstacles
Is the cleaning solution more ? or do you have to order it ?

Thanks for the comment. We haven’t tested the slim yet, but we will be testing the Curv soon.

Are you able to compare with one of the Ecovacs models like the T30 or x5 pro?
I sold the T30 a while ago, but it has a camera so navigation is better. Overall the T30 is a better performer, but it costs more too.
Eufy X10 pro Omni was just $580 after taxes. That’s hard to beat!
There are some great deals at this time of the year.
how good does it clean the floor ? We will have Vinyl Flooring (hardwood ) .

I don’t think so
Is it possible to tell the robot that specific rooms are not allowed to mop?
If you tell the robot to clean the whole house and want it to remember which rooms not to mop but then vacuum and mop the rest?
Yes, most robots allow you to specify which rooms to mop and which to avoid.

For the eufy S1 pro it says $500 off until December 31, but now on amazon it's back to the original price. How do you get the $500 off?
Hello - it looks like the promo ended early. Check back after Christmas, maybe they will have a new deal. Sorry about that! I changed the description.
Hi! I have textured tile, Which is the absolute best at mopping?
How do the ones that have mop pads transistion to rugs/carpet/over tall thresholds? It seems like the mop pads would get in the way.

@ thanks!
Wie viel Quadratmeter muss ein Dreame L10s Ultra mit einem gefüllten Tank im Saugroboter feucht auf wischen schaffen?
I'm not sure. You can look for the manual online
Can someone please help me: What is a good robot vacuum without mopping - I mainly need it for cat hair daily clean in between my weekend cleans.
I have 2 cats. If you just need a good sweeper for a reasonable price, check out the Roborock Q5 Max+ geni.us/ehEwF

How do these compare to the shark wet dry mop?
I just got the Shark a few days ago and it's still in the box. I'll be posting a video of it shortly
Shark robot is garbage
Would love to see how they handle carpeted floors.
In our videos of these products, we show how they work on carpet.

The Narwal Freo X Plus has no base station amzn.to/4fbY0PC
I need to know what's the best for golden retriever friend at home please hahah :D

It hurts to see records stacked horizontally like that 😢
They’ll be fine
@ I’m sure they will be with small stacks like that. Still hurts me to see that considering there’s plenty of space in those cubbies.
Is that dog poop on the floor!😮😂
It’s fake
No Shark products?????
I've got a Shark robot I'm reviewing shortly
Who's that hippie scientist?
If the cats didn’t kick him out he stays in the video.
