    I love your tutorials because you have a nice voice and you talk slowly, so I can understand even if english isn't my first language

    I just came across your video because I wanted to look for a tutorial about edges. I learned everything I need to know in that short video even though it was 7 years ago. Thank you so much! You don't know how helpful it was to find free tutorials for a struggling art student like me ♡ Take care sir

    This was probably the first video I've seen that was *actually* thorough about the details. I'm an art school graduate, and I've constantly sought videos since my education. Most of the videos are so vague in their instruction. They say what they're doing, but not *how* they're doing it. You are thorough! The art community appreciates it.

    It's so simple but I never tried it
    It actually helped me a TON. I was using some other convoluted method that basically got to the same result but wasn't as clean.
    Thank you SO much

    Q: All my life I've used pencil... I was taught to lay down "layers" of graphite, carbon or whatever. In theory one would lay down thin layer after thin layer of, lets say, graphite to created a very smooth and realistic gradient value. So I noticed with this you actually used a darker shade of grey on top of the first layer of shadows. Do you think with digital media this is more effective than mimicking the method I already know by maybe using a decreased opacity? I figured if you're gonna go in layers and merge them this would probably be most similar to creating form with pencils. What do you think? I hope I asked my question in a manner you can understand.

    This seems like a lot of work and a lot of layers if that's always how you paint. For example I'd have painted that skull much differently and only used that technique for specific instances. I'll definitely integrate it more though

    hey admin i've got a question for you
    i use mouse for digital painting and it's hard but i am just an amature learning
    and just can't afford the wacom
    do you think i got to buy a wacom tablet or just keep learning with mouse and buy the tablet later???? pls reply

    • @louisda8729
      @louisda8729 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only using a mouse wont benefit you at all on digital painting the graphics tablet is a must and you will have to spend time getting used to it and the feel of using pen pressure and painting on a unfamiliar surface.

    • @simplelee92
      @simplelee92 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Get a tablet. They have cheap ones that cost the same of a new video game. A mouse must be hard on your hand.
