I donate blood pretty much every 70 days....I have "good veins" and it's easy IN and out for the technicians...plus I can call and get my Total Cholesterol number a few days later...this is a blood center at my local hospital NCH here in Naples, FL....when I called to get my TC number last time it was 130.....the technician on the phone said "ok, how did you DO that?" I gladly told her that I'm plant based!
I remember watching a doctor on TH-cam (don’t remember his name) said the only way to lower blood cholesterol was to donate blood regularly. Your TC numbers are awesome and you’re proof that donating your blood is why :)

@@1mikon That’s alright. I actually think fish and just a tiny bit of red meat, like twice or once a week, is fine. Same goes for eggs. 3 times a week should be fine. However, absolutely no dairy. The rest you can just plug into chronometer and see what nutrients you need. I eat a shit ton of variety of food. When I started out, I mistakenly tried to meet the RDA of every vitamin and mineral, but that’s unnatural. I now learned that we are supposed to get those nutrients over many days from a wide variety of whole food sources. Also, I believe eating my diet and occasionally having red meat/eggs will result in a normal serum cholesterol level. I have yet to test this hypothesis, but I will test my serum cholesterol level in about a year. The problem with people who eat eggs and other high cholesterol foods is that they eat it too often and don’t have a wide variety of healthy whole foods, many of which have been shown to lower cholesterol like flax seeds (which I also eat regularly).
I just had my cholesterol test just this week I went from 7.8 to 4.8 in 6 months I started plant based diet about 2 months ago I feel a lot better no meat no eggs no cheese no dairy no oil I agree with Dr.Barnard 💯 . Very informative.
I'm over 65 and my cholesterol has gone down on a plant based diet. My arthritis went away, I lost lots of weight, my skin looks great. And I feel great. Dr. Barnard was one of my first inspirations to go plant-based. Thanks for your work! Also - Dr. Barnard is 70 and looks terrific!
I’m 68 & went to a 100% whole food plant based diet two weeks ago. I have been trying off & on for a long time. But I’m strict now due to high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Watching this late night 3/16. One chat user Karunamyii Holistic was especially rude and annoying. I appreciated Dr Neal's advice and his take on the research that's being done. Many of us trust him to staying on top of the research.
Very useful info. I was busy taking all sorts of notes. It was good to get answers on a wide range of foods as to whether they are really suitable or not. Keep up the good work of informing and educating people around the world. I'm based in Australia and have been a fan of PCRM for years. The very name includes the key thing: responsible medicine. It's so important to counter all the misinformation being spread by ignorant consumers and vested interests who only want to protect and increase profits, not matter how much their products damage the health of consumers. So it's important to speak up against all the BS spread about food, mostly by people who want to protect the status quo. As recently as 400 years ago, most people believed the world was flat, and anyone saying otherwise risked being burned as a heretic. When Galileo Galilei tried to get certain people to have a look through his telescope, they refused to do that because they wanted to hang on to their false beliefs. To quote Galilei, "I wish that we might laugh at the remarkable stupidity of the common herd. What do you have to say about... [people] who... do not want to look at either the planets, the moon or the telescope, even though I have freely and deliberately offered them the opportunity a thousand times? Truly ...these philosophers shut their eyes to the light of truth." And so do opponents of a plant based diet continue to shut their eyes to the truth, because the truth threatens their world view and beliefs. But I believe that thanks to the work of researchers, PCRM and other pioneers, in another generation or two there will be a lot more acceptance of vegan diets. Just like people now accept that Galileo Galilei was right all along, because he actually LOOKED at the evidence, in his case the view through his telescope.
My cholesterol went from 173 to 130, ldl from 113 to 80, triglycerides 65 to 48 and blood pressure went from being always in 140s to now in the 115-130 range 6 months into a plant based diet and two months only eating plants. Still eating processed vegan burgers once every three weeks in general.
Thank you for focusing on lowering Cholesterol. For years I have tried eating better and exercising only to go to my doctor to discover my C is higher. Now I am going to try what you expressed in the video....I pray it goes down. The C medication causes leg cramps and weight gain for me, who wants that. Thanks again! 😊
Thank you Chuck and Dr. Neal. Appreciate y’all. Question: We don’t wanna do away with cholesterol entirely, do we? What about the good cholesterol HDL?
a c reactive protein test for inflammation is what is needed. That is what causes cholesterol to collect in the arteries. cholesterol is not the problem. An diet that lowers inflammation is what is needed.
Wonderful information about health. I’m also have a high cholesterol .it’s my first time I came across with this channel. So , I’ve watch the whole video. Amazing ! Thank you Doc.

I’m very sure I’m fully vegan, plant based and no cheat. My doctor is good with my decision not to take any statins. It’s like the man dr Barnard mention who’s cholesterol would not lower after going plant based but his heart issues reversed. I never had a heart issue or high BP and my plan is to keep it that way. Thanks for your reply and concern 🌈🌞
My husband had a mini stroke and we had a neurologist suggest the Forks over knives SOS FREE, Vegan life style. In 4 weeks all of his numbers dropped dramatically! Cholesterol went from 207 to 77!!! With 17 LDL 😮🎉😅 WE SIGHED IN FOR THREE MONTHS - WE HAVE NO PLANS TO STOP-EVER!!!!
I so appreciate all the information given by Dr. Barnard. He has so much information on this topic and puts it all together in a way that is both informative and well understood. Thank you for trying to save lives and getting the word out on a plant based diet and what foods are especially helpful like almonds and soy.
After 28 months on WFPBSOS (30 gr fat - ground flaxseed, a brazil nut, walnuts occasionally) my TC went from over 220 to 195, LDL from over 140 to 115, but TG from below 100 to 170. My weight down from 68 kg to 59 kg, 170 cm. My HbA1c down from 5.8% to 5.1%. But most importantly my BP went down from 140/90 to 105/70 which is the reason I changed diet. It took 18 months to stop BP pills and get to 110/70. I was low carb Paelo-ish OMAD for about 10 years before that. Lipids just will not go down further. Initially they went down more but then bounced back albeit to a lower level. More or less 10 points down for every 100 mgr of diet cholesterol. Are their studies about the effect of various levels of cholesterol on WFPBSOS diet, in the absence of animal foods and fats? Dr Klaper mentioned sometthing about this when discussing complaints of strict long term WFPBSOS dieters having theit TC stuck around 200. Relatively higher cholesterol but less inflammatory conditions.
I wonder what made your triglyceride level go UP like that? I do a version of Keto and my triglyceride level keeps getting better! It was 72 and last blood work had dropped to 47! My HDL was 70 and my LDL was 112. I am not worried a drop about my LDL because truly what matters is the Ratio!😉 I would love to lower my BP though! I take 10 mgs of Lisinoprel which isn't that much but without it my BP will start climbing much too high. I am a cancer survivor so I guess I really shouldn't complain about a bit of high blood pressure!😁😎

Do we have any large scale double blind studies that prove that cholesterol causes heart attacks? My understanding is that half of the people who have heart attacks also have normal cholesterol. Which means that something else must be the cause. Like inflammation? And what about the increased risk of dementia in people who take statins? Lower cholesterol=increased risk of dementia.
A study like that is not feasible. APOb is a better marker for heart disease risk. Gil Carlharvo probably has the most analytical nutrition channel. th-cam.com/video/3sSEKceB0bw/w-d-xo.html
I am so conflicted about oils. I am seeing studies quoted in Life Extension magazine about the health benefits of walnuts and fish. Yet Dr Esselstyn says no, those oils also can clog our arteries. What to believe? How can I know what's true?
I hear ya!! I feel the same way! I’ve gone from Keto to vegan and just wish I knew what is REALLY the healthiest!! And what about all the “insulin” talk, does it really matter? How can we know without a doubt??🧐
Exceptional evidence-based information as always, Chuck and Dr. Barnard. An idea for a podcast for you, Chuck. You are creative so I believe you could ‘dish’ this topic up in a way that creates attention and interest. As a clinician scientist who specializes in non-drug and non-surgical health care, my focus has been population based nutrition, I.e., vegan nutrition. PCRM has been an outstanding source; an organization that I promote globally. Perhaps most of your listeners are not as tuned into world health, however we as like minds need to lean on the World Health Organization (WHO). Being a baby boomer and now an academic in health care, I have had trust in our institutions. This past year, one voice (Italian Ambassador to the Assembly) in the WHO Assembly vetoed WHO’s advocacy of plant-based nutrition. This is truly a sacrilege and flies in the face of science and turning the tide on nutrition-related non-communicable diseases. Shortsightedly, he simply argued that closing down factory farming would reduce jobs and the Assembly went along with it. This is unacceptable. We need to take a stand. Please enable your following to lean on our national representatives to the WHO to voice our concerns. The WHO professes to value and be guided by ‘health for all’ yet it has lost its way and its initiatives appear more guided my vested interests than evidence. Professor-Elizabeth This breach of honesty
I would recommend to listen to the video about cholesterol by Eckberg. It's not the cholesterol that matters but the ratio with triglycerides and HDL. You get those down by going keto and low carbs. That's how I reversed insulin resistance.
Almost all foods are not good to eat . What food should we eat? You said coconut milk is also not good. But, the other doctor told that coconut oil is good . I'm so confuse.
Plants are not for humans; agriculture came around 10,000 years ago, and while we have been here for millions of years, the only foods we are allowed to eat are EGG AND MEAT. just a cholesterol number does not mean ANYTHING!! the only indicator of heart attack is Triglyceride to HDL ratio. Do yourself a favor and ask your doctor to order an advanced lipid panel test ( assuming your doctor knows what this is), if your doctor refuses to order, buy it online, it's kinda pricy, and only then, you will understand if your 300 or 400 cholesterol is safe or not!! my LDL cholesterol is over 200, and my total cholesterol is over 300, but my advanced lipid panel results showed no danger whatsoever. Don't be fooled by traditional medicine. Stay away from Statins, vegetable oils, and carbs.
Thank you for your input. I am confused though. The body makes 3,000 mg of cholesterol per day: how can one egg (186 mg) make any difference? In fact, say most TH-cam contributors, the benefit of eggs far outweighs any problem. You also say “go low on oils”. Surely you mean only vegetable cooking oils? Olive oil is supposed to be something of a super food, included in the Mediterranean diet which results in very low rates of heart disease.
I went on a high fat diet ate on average 3 eggs a day for three months. Total cholesterol shot up from 165 to 335. Too many fake keto doctors on TH-cam writing books to make money imo.
Great informative video. I have recently switched from animal food to plant based due to high cholesterol and blood pressure. I feel light like a feather and will get it checked in couple of months. However I have one question. Can whey protein be taken daily? I take one scoop with oats in the morning.
Insulin resistance is a far greater problem than high cholesterol, my cholesterol actually went down on my high fat diet, I cut out sugar and a lot of carbs but eat all meat bacon eggs and dairy every day, I'm lean and still work an active job at 68yo.
Exactly right. I am so cross with this video. They are lying to people. Do you know that vegans have got big heads and narrow shoulders they look weird and another thing that has been researched is that vegan do not live ny longer than anyone else
Dr of what is this block?. I know a cardiologist who has said we have been lied to and unless the triglycerides are high there is no problem. Especially when the cholesterol particles are big in the LDL
@@chad7789 not all cholesterols are made equal. The total cholesterol number does not say anything about cardiovascular risk. Next time check for TG/HDL ratio and ApoB numbers.

I blend raw garlic the whole bub and I add water and I put a whole lot of honey in it. And I drink it down through out the day. I drink this on an empty stomach.
I'm not going to cut out animal product completely but I'd love to reduce it by a lot. I currently aim for the size of deck of cards. My biggest concern is kefir and the olive oil I consume.
I kept hearing Dr. Barnard saying coconut oil isn’t good, it must be the coconut oil in this country. I grew up in Jamaica West Indies and most people in the old days we greater the dry coconut and juice it and boil it we make our own oil and we never had a problem with cholesterol
I adopted a plant based diet and my lipid profile came out looking great. Except, my HDL also declined and my doctor asked me to go back to eating animal protein. I’m confused.
I've been plant based for 3 years now and my ldl is still at 180. My doctor says it's "genetic/familial" and I need medication to reduce it because in my case, diet is not going to bring it down.
Studies have shown that some people with high LDL live longer than those who take statins to lower their cholesterol. No one has figured out the formula to an exact science.
My moms cholesterol was always over 300. Nothing could get it down. Doctors finally left her alone about it. Since her HDL was really high, they said it must be protecting her. That and she was very active. They just left her alone. No clogged arteries.
I commented this above... before you get "rid of fats", you might want to research some of the things I said ( don`t take it from me. ).... if what you (the doctor here...) suggest is true, how come that in two of the worlds "blue zones" (Sardinia, Italy, Ikaria, Greece) the population eats loads of dairy ( goat cheese etc) consumes a bottle of olive oil a week per person(!) And also: As a matter of fact in NONE of the blue zones the typical diet is strictly vegan: Still in the "blue zones" there is more people that live to be 100 years old in good health ...in spite of their "deadly" diet ...( or could I suggest: BECAUSE of their diet?) And if cholesterol levels are the one and only or at least one of the most important factors for heart disease, answer me this question, please: How come people in France who have the same high cholesterol levels as is typical for the US population (or even higher in places) -still they suffer significantly less strokes and heart attacks than in the US.. How come , if what you say is true? I NEVER HEAR answers about that from vegans. Never. And I won`t get an answer here either. That`s for sure.
I was doing the carnivore diet for the last 4 months and my cholesterol went from 200 to 608. My LDL is now at 473. I think I'm living proof that eating cholesterol raises cholesterol. Time to go back to eating my veggies again and get this cholesterol under control. Its crazy that in the carnivore community everyone says this is fine. I just wish everything wasn't so contradicting. It's so confusing but it's clear to me a high fat keto/carnivore diet isn't for me. What are your thoughts about keto and carnivore diets? It was nice not being hungry all the time like when I eat low fat but I don't feel good with my cholesterol this high.

Wonderful episode, thanks so much! Question: What are the effects of vaping cannabis oils, whether from cannabis flower or oil cartridges, on the body's endothelial cells? Dr. Esselstyn talks about how ingesting oil leads to blisters and plaques on artery walls; can vaping cannabis oils do the same thing, and perhaps even in bigger amounts?
I can’t speak as to endothelial cells, but vaping has a bad effect on the lungs. Everyone I know who ended up with cancer finally quits vaping. Better to stop now.
My husband has been vegan for 15 years, he is an athlete, thin and muscular. In his 60's. His diet is excellent - fresh organic plants and plant protein, low sugar. Blood pressure is excellent. He eats very little sugar and yet a few weeks ago he had a blood panel done and his cholesterol is 250 and LDL 160 both high. He's shocked. How would someone who is healthy and eats a plant-based diet have high cholesterol, and how to lower it?
We're lucky, here in Australia, that our soy is organic. I understand most soy in the US is GMO so if you can find organic soy mylk that would be a good place to start.
You tell us what not to eat to increase cholesterol+but what do we eat that insures satiety and takes away carb cravings? Satiety is key for me to be able to stick with an eating plan.
Learn about your macros. A balance of fat, protein and carbs are the hunger crushing combo so find vegan recipes that do that. A veggie stir-fry with a little olive oil, a little tofu, some cashews and some avocado for example, served on a bed of wholegrain rice (just half a cup).
I think that doctor who says you have to eat meat isn’t as uncommon as you would think. My primary physician knows we’re vegan, and yet every time one of our blood tests is a little low, like by 1 from normal range, she’s always suggesting we should eat some meat. Just a few months after we became vegan 6 years ago, my husband was taking a stress test and they saw a blockage and immediately transferred him to the hospital, put in a stent, sent him up to the heart ward, and served him meatloaf with gravy and mashed potatoes with butter!

I've been following your plant based diet recommendations, but I have a concern in that my last bone scan shows osteoporosis. I wonder if I need some animal protein for my bone health. I walk two miles every day and I lift weights 4 - 5 days a week, which I have done for years. I'm not overweight (125 lbs. - 5'5"). I'm really working to get the A1C down. I have not eaten any added sugars for several years. Age seems to exacerbate my scores.

Sadly, I have to start a statin at 64 years old despite the fact I eat healthy and a good weight......... my non HDL Cholesterol is 235 and doctor's staff told me high risk of death in 10 years............ my son is a doctor and discussed all cholesterol problems with me and statins are fine to take and will improve my life expectancy (Crestor) Chol HDL ratio is 6.0 ---- HDL is 47 and son told me to get to cardiologist to have artery duplex ultrsound to check plaque as my cholesterol has been higher for years and I believe it is a combo of stress and genetics
I never started a statin as others said I need to do. I met with the doctor yesterday for a physical exam and insisted on getting an advanced lipid panel which shows the two LDL particle sizes and percentages of each - small dense is bad and large buoyant is good and it’s important to know this specific additional information as it will reflect the true picture of what’s going on. She refused to give me this blood test multiple times and then said they don’t offer that test in this large medical group in NY!! She said to do a calcium score and that will show if any plaque on the arteries which indicates high cholesterol - I educated myself years ago about calcium score and met with a cardiologist as I was having chest pain and told him I wanted a calcium score (he failed to offer it) so will repeat that. I met with my doctor for a physical exam yesterday and she didn’t even look in my mouth for any cancer related bumps or issues. Time to find a new doctor ….

I had a calcium score last year and I’m at 6 percent - it was 0 before that so will do this again and also meet with a cardiologist who actually cares about patients on Medicare and Medicaid in NY- I was in Croatia first time life and climbed massive steps miles every day and my heart was great for 12 days so it’s likely the stress of living alone and dealing with an extremely toxic family member - thanks again for caring and responding, and have a wonderful day ❤
Exactly opposite of what Dr. Neal said worked for me. With 95% vegetarian for the whole life+10000 steps/day walking, at 48yrs age my TG was 270, LDL 74, HDL 41, TC 169 (TG/HDL=6.6) so took statin for 6yrs. It used to give frequent musle pains. Then 2yrs back started keto (thanks to Dr. Berg, Dr. Berry, Dr. Nadir Ali) & statin stopped. Now TG 45 (big down), LDL 250 (big up), HDL 59 (up), TC 339 (up) + feeling healthiest ever at 56yrs. TG/HDL is 0.8. As per Dr. Ali, TG is the problem, not cholesterol.
My LDL shot up to almost 400 after I did KETO 😂 I felt so healthy though. I started to doubt about how relevant that LDL is dangerous to heart disease?
Eggs DO raise the Bad cholesterol and triglycerides! I am 100% sure because that was the only animal product that I ate and my LDL and triglycerides went up!

All this information out there is just too confusing eat eggs don’t eat eggs and it just goes on and on and on!
It’s confusing me too . I cut down on eating eggs. Then I hear it’s bad. No idea. Will stick to 3 eggs a week . Organic ones.
You're not wrong!

What about eating turkey meat
To quote Galilei,
"I wish that we might laugh at the remarkable stupidity of the common herd. What do you have to say about... [people] who... do not want to look at either the planets, the moon or the telescope, even though I have freely and deliberately offered them the opportunity a thousand times? Truly ...these philosophers shut their eyes to the light of truth."
And so do opponents of a plant based diet continue to shut their eyes to the truth, because the truth threatens their world view and beliefs. But I believe that thanks to the work of researchers, PCRM and other pioneers, in another generation or two there will be a lot more acceptance of vegan diets. Just like people now accept that Galileo Galilei was right all along, because he actually LOOKED at the evidence, in his case the view through his telescope.

Yes. The clinical studies in his book prove that cholesterol contributes to heart attacks.
I agree with you Laurie. It has to be something else.
A study like that is not feasible. APOb is a better marker for heart disease risk. Gil Carlharvo probably has the most analytical nutrition channel. th-cam.com/video/3sSEKceB0bw/w-d-xo.html

I would recommend to listen to the video about cholesterol by Eckberg. It's not the cholesterol that matters but the ratio with triglycerides and HDL. You get those down by going keto and low carbs. That's how I reversed insulin resistance.

Don't listen to the other doctor. Simple. Just listen to physicians Committee, follow their suggestions and you will thrive
Watch the video till end and you will have your answer. To achieve any goal you have to make your own judgement from different opinions. 😇
Hello, will you please recommend an on line site where I can order an advanced lipid panel as my doctors don’t know what that is !
You got all your data. Now you do your own judgement.
Great informative video. I have recently switched from animal food to plant based due to high cholesterol and blood pressure. I feel light like a feather and will get it checked in couple of months.
Good info. I'll be getting rid of fats. I have one of those pans that Dr. Benard mentioned and it works well. I can 'fry' with water.
I commented this above... before you get "rid of fats", you might want to research some of the things I said ( don`t take it from me. ).... if what you (the doctor here...) suggest is true, how come that in two of the worlds "blue zones" (Sardinia, Italy, Ikaria, Greece) the population eats loads of dairy ( goat cheese etc) consumes a bottle of olive oil a week per person(!) And also:
As a matter of fact in NONE of the blue zones the typical diet is strictly vegan: Still in the "blue zones" there is more people that live to be 100 years old in good health ...in spite of their "deadly" diet ...( or could I suggest: BECAUSE of their diet?)
And if cholesterol levels are the one and only or at least one of the most important factors for heart disease, answer me this question, please:
How come people in France who have the same high cholesterol levels as is typical for the US population (or even higher in places) -still they suffer significantly less strokes and heart attacks than in the US..

Your amazing Doc!! So grateful for the information shared. Life changing for me. God bless you!
I’m 4 days in taking Lipitor my cholesterol was 6.2 but I really don’t want to be taking statins as already after 4 days I’m feeling dizzy with blurred vision is it safe to just stop them I have already started a plant base diet also eating tin fish etc and walking fast most days for 45 mins I’m glad I watch your video today as I was eating eggs but will now stop
So confuse right now..Some Doctors say its good to eat 2eggs everyday , Doc. Eric Berg eats 4eggs a day and now those studies are being debunked 😥😥its hard to be healthy if you dont know which one to follow
I am so confused myself. Who is right?
Listen everybody has different metabolism and unique lifestyle . So you have to find what works for you .
Soy, tofu is not for thyroid patients. Organic included.
Brazil nuts yes
Thank you. I especially appreciate the info on soy. I feel great eating soy and I know sometimes it gets a bad rap.
I can’t use soy! It messes up a lot of people.
Is there not a certain ratio of 'good' cholesterol and 'bad cholesterol that matters?
Awesome info thanks so much have to share this video to family
Thank you for a great information
My question about cholesterol, What do you think about " Red Yeast Rice " for lowering cholesterol?
Thank you all great team for sharing this knowledge from Johannesburg South Africa 👍
Wtf
Why doctors are telling different things. Some said eggs are good cholesterol. Which is which? So confusing.
I did not eat eggs cheese minimal dairy (lactose intollerant) took statens every day... 15 years later 98% blocked artery in my heart. Why?
Just found your channel. I am 65 yes I was diagnosed with high cholesterol 2020 of July the doctor sent back to do a test in November, the result was great it went to normal.they put me on atoravastatin, but exercise more I ate no white bread, flour. Crackers ,eggs, slow down on bake stuff, sugar, sweets juice had more water, no dairy products , I ate chicken breast , no dry stuff. Do I have to continue taking meds?
I take statin for Many years but since I change my diet I don’t take pravastatin anymore. My cholesterol is 130. Diet and exercise eating healthy is my medicine.
Wish I could lower mine
Congratulations, But can u tell me what do u eat please help me out im trying to lower my cholesterol, i just suffered a heart attack.
Im eating a lots of veggies but i just want to know do u eat salmon, nuts and olive oil? Please reply
Can you also talk about sugar? Does sugar increase cholesterol in a vegan?
I have high cholesterol so cut out sugar for an entire year & it made no difference at all!!
I eat. Eggs everyday and don’t have high cholesterol
I was told organic range eggs 🥚 was okay to eat.
We also have to look at advance blood test that determines your risk factors.Large particles inflammation markers
After going whole food vegan no oil no nuts cholesterol went from 248 to 101 in a few months.
Thanks for your comment. Are you still @ 101? How bad are nuts?
YIKES!
Walnuts and almonds raw are so good for you
@@dianamarie1652 True diana. Do you eat a WFPB diet? What is your total cholesterol now?
@@dianamarie1652 No those things are toxic.
Avoid GMO, avoid produce of intensive farming, take plenty of exercises and stay healthy and live long .
Can you please do a video on Dr Eric Berg’s TH-cam video recommending people eat 4 eggs a day! He has 6.4M followers.
I fell for that for a whilez though I did 3 eggs. A very dangerous man.
Dr. Berg is not a doctor, he is a chiropractor
Thanks I have learnt a lot from this project listing from jamaican
I am a 67 year old female and just got cholesterol checked total is 327. Ldl 230. I refuse statins at my age. What alternatives are there? And my doctor will not do the particle test to see the size of the particles for me. Why?
Pick another doctor to do the particle test. It's important.
My TC is 284; HDL 109, LDL 166. My triglycerides are 45. I really want to get my TC down. My last (August 2023) A1C tested at 5.7. I bought and read your book, Reversing Diabetes.
Thank you guy's for the amazing info. I really enjoyed the subject. It helped me 100%. I always share my blessings!!!
Thanks to all those producers who produce such like informative program , I appreciate the Docter who explain all the different factors increase HDL,LDL. And precautions for the best possible results.thanks to all participants in the outstanding health issues program.
Dont go on the statins. Find a nutritionist. Statins have grave side effects. Your son is trained to tell you what he did. He loves you and means well. He does not want his mom to die.
@@thelinkeducationalsupports2949 Thanks so much for responding- I was in the ER last week heart. I eat very very healthy, great weight, but I have high stress levels and despite being calm last Sunday, I had the most intense chest pressure of my entire life in this world it was horrifying I thought I was going to die despite my belief I will live to over 100! I was in ER several hours heart rate fluctuating crazily up and down no heart attack further testing will be necessary at the cardiologist. They put me on beta blocker script meant for ongoing problem heart not taking it! They told me I have high levels of TSH and could have hypothyroidism affecting my high cholesterol so endocrinologist appt - I’m not going on those rotten statins - I’ll be doing intense lifestyle changes including yoga running every day etc. I’m a good weight but the stress is doing a number on me (daily meditations mindfulness) so likely will sell the house and move away…
@@jeanne819 Oh my, they say that high stress can rob a man of a full life. Jeanne, I don't practice mindfulness or yoga, but I do practice thankfulness. At the end of each of my days I celebrate what I do possess and all of those precious lives I encountered that day and I go to sleep. Unlike you, I am in search of a home. I don't own one, but I am expectant. Can we find an excellent nutritionist for you who also happens to be a medical physician? You know, one who will not use meds except in an emmergency? Let me know how your health improves. I am going to whisper a prayer for you this evening. And incidentally, I am not casual about what I am saying. Relax, say to yourself, some things I just cannot change. I am wise to acknowledge that and let some things go. You have to or your excellent eating habits would be in vain. Now we dont want that do we?
Thank you for your thoughtful response I’m reading a year later. I received latest bloodwork results and my cholesterol is still too high and doctor office left 4 voicemails while I was in Europe on a family trip and upon returning home, nurse told me I must go on a statin and I’m not doing this. I’m 66 now and realize life is short and every moment counts, and I will take your advice and locate a doctor who also cares about nutrition and holistic approach. I’m on Medicare now and it took me 2 years to find a new doctor who is a primary care. My doctor of many years wouldn’t accept my insurance.
Keto shot my cholesterol up from 165 to 335, never again
My LDL shot up to almost 400 after I did KETO 😂 I felt so healthy though. I started to doubt about how relevant that LDL is dangerous to heart disease?
Eggs DO raise the Bad cholesterol and triglycerides! I am 100% sure because that was the only animal product that I ate and my LDL and triglycerides went up!
