They should have moved Toto with Show when he lost his mate. I know she is too old to mate but at least she would have male company and he wouldn't have been alone.
Momoko must be taking a nap cause I don’t think she would be too happy with Toto flirting with her husband. Haoko was looking all around checking if the wife was watching. Poor Toto should have been living with her own silverback all these years instead of being a low ranking female in this troop. 🦍🇬🇧
I disagree. Toto is old and a very sensitive gorilla. Not easy to match with other male. Is very difficult the introduction of great apes. Haoko is an amazing male, very kind and nice, Toto can be relaxed in that group. All the family is taking care of her, she is accepted in the group and the kids specially love her.

She seems at least resigned to her status in the troop and yes, she gets low straw all the time she does seem to like hanging with the silverback. She might be natually low willed , and Momoto is naturally very willful. She has gotten to spend time and have some kind of relationship with all the kids anyway.

Go look at Toto’s background story before you judge this old girl. She’s had a very hard start to life and some.
