Electric vehicles are becoming more popular and affordable than ever before. They are good for the environment, save money on fuel, and offer a smooth and quiet ride. But they also have some challenges, such as limited range, long charging time, and high battery cost. What if there was a better way to power electric vehicles? A way that could solve these problems and make EVs even more attractive and convenient?

Chinese are working on a sodium battery. Chances are that their internal market will be using innovative products long before the rest of the world.

This sounds promising, but there are two items you did not address:
    1. What is the current (in constant amps) output of these new batteries?
    2. 80% charge in only 15 minutes? How many amps need to be pumped into the battery for that charge?

This is a very evenhanded and objetive overview of carbon battery development. I support any new battery development that has greater energy dencity, that costs , weighs less and that can be recharges many more times than lithium ion batteries.

i wonder is there's a dual silicon battery? it seems silicon has high potential in the anode of a battery. perhaps they can try it in batteries such as sodium ion, and aluminum ion. there are other batteries I'm rooting for like vanadium redox flow batteries, polyjoule, and of coarse dual carbon batteries. long life, cheaper, safer and simpler wins my vote plus a range of 250-350 miles and less than 15 minutes of charge time with a level 2 charger will win the game.

I hope that if not this tech comes to fruition, some other will . Current lithium batteries are far to expensive for most consumers, and if governments push to hard the whole life system of manufacturing and distribution will collapse like a pack of cards . If the people who make modern life work can't get there it's gone and chaos ensumes.

It sounds like you could run an Alternator with this type of Battery
Run a floating voltage conversion through it
Like when you charge your laptop and still use it at the same time
You should be able to run a floating voltage that keeps the battery charged
Without having to plug it in
The appropriate float voltage varies significantly with the chemistry and construction of the battery, and ambient temperature.
With the appropriate voltage for the battery type and with proper temperature compensation, a float charger may be kept connected indefinitely without damaging the battery.
I would think that is the goal for the EV industry.

market forces - you mean the thing that forced industry to reluctantly build and launch an electric car in the early '90s? Nah, that was regulation. But what caused 6 major auto makers to recall and crush almost every single one of them despite owner protest and political demonstrations? Go see, but if you suspect it's what also killed public transit in America, you may be onto something.

This looks so promising but again I do not think it is going to be much cheaper than Li.- ion battery. However we should explore and try developing tech.that uses just air/ water/ both only where no storage is required n no refuelling/ recharging is required.
