A saying that has proven very right and very helpful to me is : "Freedom is not doing what you want, but wanting what you do". It's a whole different attitude towards things in life. I once had the exact same job as Sky... pushing dirty dishes into the dish washer... Instead of thinking : why the hell am I doing this job it sucks... I was thinking : Now, I have this task to do, let's make it to the best of my abilities and having fun doing so. At the end of the day, I was proud of my job and had no frustration, just a big smile. And honestly it made me realize that no matter the job, it's all about "internal attitude"

My first casual job was as a kitchen hand at 14. Apparently I had potenial, (I worked my backside off my entire shift) because they offered me an apprentice chef position the next week. At which point my parents said, over their dead body - that I had to finish high school etc. What I am grateful for is, I will never forget those other kitchen staff who pulled me through those shifts, mainly the sous chefs and kitchen aids who helped me keep up. It was pretty obvious by about 11pm, that I was struggling. Being a kitchen hand is not a career choice anyone aspires to!
That was a wonderful story of under cover boss he was truly a wonderful man and the gift he gave his employees was just amazing congratulations to all the staff that he surprised with goodies

I washed dishes in the restaurant business. Thousands of them. Before I did, I trained with the dishwasher and he stressed the importance of doing my job right, as correctly washed dishes and pots and pans protected the health and safety of all of us. He took pride i his work. He showed me how to clean, how to organize and how to interact with the other people in the kitchen, who acted like they were all part of the same team. We had a culture where we were all important parts of a team. I was making minimum, but not for long as I moved on to different jobs before going into management with the same company. The company is respnsible for setting the tone, and management and team members make sure it happens.

He should have gotten something to. The shitty attitude is because of bad managers. They got off way too easy, and the dishwasher got the blame. He said he did not get any training, but did what he needed without complaining. He also said it was not unusual to do both positions alone. The boss was complaining like a little bitch after working 10 minutes. Try doing that for 6 months, then check attitude. I mean. How much training do you need to put dishes in a dishwasher anyway...?

He should have gotten something to. The shitty attitude is because of bad managers. They got off way too easy, and the dishwasher got the blame.
He said he did not get any training, but did what he needed without complaining. He also said it was not unusual to do both positions alone. The boss was complaining like a little bitch after working 10 minutes. Try doing that for 6 months, then check attitude.
I mean. How much training do you need to put dishes in a dishwasher anyway...?
Yeah I've been in that dish pile in the past. It's not fun. Didn't look like that CEO was having much fun either. Washed dishes for 10 minutes, got pissed, walked away and starts going off at the jr. Manager. Maybe he's the one that needs to change his attitude and come down to the level of his employees.

I worked in the restaurant industry for a decade. Quitting was the most enjoyable part of my restaurant career. But what they're saying about attitude is key. It's TRUE! You absolutely need to have the right attitude to work in whichever field you go into

If we say there is a 1% chance to meet your significant other at your workplace that would mean that there are around 90 married couples working at buffet inc. That means, statistically every 4th day of the year one of these couples has their anniversary.

it's because the show is from america, the highest cancer rate in the world. also has the highest gmo and water source tampering. not hard to figure it out. and no I am not american, and my country does not do what america does, hence why we can see the problems :)
They screen each staff member, find out everything they can about each of them, before they choose their targets for the show. The targets are not chosen at random. That first guy, the idiot, probably had an interesting back story that would have earned him some benefit or reward but he blew it with his bad attitude.
