I was lucky to get a job with IT certifications and one connection before graduating my CS degree. Here is some of my advice: be prepared to do general education especially algebra, Calc 1 and Calc 2. They will make you feel discouraged because they are boring and have nothing to do with your major but hold in there and keep your end goal in mind. Also when you get to university, make as many connections as possible, join CS related clubs and programs and learn as much as possible from your professors. Don’t be afraid to explore CS it encompasses many different subjects. Remember to keep your discipline there’s a lot of distractions.

If your someone who graduates early, for example you graduate high school in two years (so your basically a sophomore right) Can you still apply fro scholarships and then things like that that are only available to juniors or seniors? Like the National Merit for example, you need to take the PSAT in your junior year right. So are you still gonna be eligible for it, if your gonna be out of high school even before your in your third year there?

Dude, it sounds cliché, but it's gonna be okay. I kinda had no idea what to do when I was in HS either and that's okay. It's normal!
I highly recommend you go to community college once you graduate to save money in the long run. Make sure many classes transfer over and go to an in-state public college if you can when you graduate from the community college. Also, do your research on degrees/careers and what is in high demand and a good on return investment. While it's important to have a plan, life doesn't go exactly the way one plans it! 🙂 In the meantime, as Shane said in the video, try to get a job if you can! I myself am in community college and stuck between a few careers, but I will figure it out!
      Hope this helped a little!

    Things to know about college:
    1. It's a trap.
2.Do what you love. Might as well. Won't find a job anyway.
    3. If you find a good professor, find out about every class he/she teaches.
    4. Extra credit sucks.
    5. Partial credit sucks. Make like a bandit and go for all the goods or none at all.
    6. If you have a young face, people will assume you're fresh out of high school.
    7. Don't waste your time with counseling. The counselors know as much as you.
    8. You need recommendations for masters programs so brown nose like a cheap hooker.
    9. If the professors give reviews, rip them up. Solve the hardest problems per topic in the text books.
    10. Try hards are cannon fodder. Space the work load out and get sleep.
    11. Debt, debt, debt.
    12. Make friends. Enemies won't lend you their notes.
    13. If classmates give you their numbers and vice versa, block their numbers from 10pm to 8am. People don't know what "after hours" are.
    14. Professors talk about screw ups in their other classes. Don't be a screw up.
    15. Before graduation, sit down with the chairman and go over every nook and cranny because they'll find something wrong. Trust me.
    16. Sleep. Don't go to class tired, with red eyes looking like a drug abuser.
    17. Check your school email regularly. Create a special spam folder for school because they'll spam you with crap you don't care about, like homework.
