I think the reason the call it the Last Strix is not because it is the last one in the combo but as a last resort, it can save you from OTK or bring out the exact Falcon you need when you have nothing left in the field
I love this archtype! And I love the character who plays them, Shay Obsidian, who I deem as the Future Trunks of Yu-Gi-Oh!. Matt Shipman, Shay's VA is also a great guy in real-life.
To be honest, I kinda wish Rise Falcon kept its anime effect. Gaining the attack of all special summoned monsters the opponent controlled until the end of the turn felt like a big blowout move with more risks if you failed. Besides, no issues due to targeting protection.
I know this video is old but I feel like I have to say this, with the whole gimmick of the archetypes it feels like it’s meant to be a type of war machine phoenixes, affectively getting progressively more powerful the more they die through ranking up from death, also with all the spell cards having images of what seems like white birds of light, I began to wonder if the metallic Birds we see in the monster artworks are The monster is true selves at all, as I feel like those white birds are the original raidraptors, and either through building war machines to pilot, or cybernetics, transformed themselves into the mechanical weaponry(It would explain them choosing to go wing beast rather than machine) ironically in the process using touch with their true forms. I also feel like that satellite canon to final fortress are monsters created after these birds revolution. Hence why they don’t follow that naming convention

Personally, I kinda prefer Ultimate Falcon over FInal Fortress Falcon. Both because of Ultimate Falcon's attack decreasing ability and also because it always has it's omni immunity unlike FInal Fortress Falcon that only has it so long as it has a Raidraptor Xyz attatched to it.
Ultimate Falcon is better than Final Fortress Falcon thanks to its effects and is the true boss monster of the deck (save for the new Rank 13 Raidraptor that’s available now).
Well at least there’s a (literal) rank-up shark in the form of Number 71. And technically Full Armored Black Ray Lancer is a rank-up since you can summon it by using a rank 3.
3:50 A bit of dark humor but pretty sure considering the user, Shay, is pretty relentless against the Fusion Dimension... VERY fitting for his mindset...
I know this is like... 2 years later, but at 21:30 you accidently said the effect for Revolution Falcon's last effect detaches a material... it doesn't It's just a free once per turn destruction effect, which you can then detach a material to attack all of your opponents remaining monsters Also again at 23:17, It doesnt have to specifically be a Xyz raidraptor, it could be Raptor's Wing as it's last material. Also, since I'm from the future and have used it quite a bit in Master Duel, Arsenal Falcon is my go-to raptor because nobody reads past the multiple attacks, so free Ultimate or Fortress falcon. A basic combo I go for is -> Wise Strix > Raider's Knight > Estranger/ Blaze (depending), and using Raider's effect lets me plant Skip force with Wise strix, and then free Arsenal with 2 or 3 materials.
I've been playing RR's since they first came out, definitely my favorite archetype in Arc V. I wish Final Fortress was better tho. Would love a Rank 9 and 11 just to complete the ranks

Fuzzy Lanius actually has a lot of uses, as you can use him as a starter for easy XYZ summons or even fodder, especially since you can basically call him for free and you can get a new one even when you detach him as a material, so he is basically a refillable material/fodder
This was a great video analyzing Rowlet’s hidden gun collection! However, you missed out on a different tech choice from Phantom Rage: DIVINE ZEUS! If your opponent has a built-up board, you can treat an injured falcon to Divine Xyz Evolution, and then nuke the board! Also if you’re looking for an easy way to go into it, Blaze Falcon’s direct attack is a good option.

its so sad that i never was able to playful power raidraptor lunalight xyz spam. i played both decks from the moment the first cards got revealed in the tcg and i even played lunalight orcust a bit before it got the menace it was even so i never play on tournaments. but it would of been just too good getting infinity and the thunderbird negation lock out of 2 cards that are searchable with 9 cards, but now we have no real good rank 4 deck and thats my second favorite deck type of all time after fusion go second.

You cover some fun archetypes, so that I can come up with some crazy decks on master duel, I've always used Raidraptor so I knew what to expect, but I still enjoyed the video
Would have been nice for rise falcon to keep its anime effect but gaining the attack of all the enemies special summoned monsters would be kinda strong with enough protection
@@GoldenNovaYugioh i guess but sadly no draw spell so they burn hand cards bit too quickly turn 1 if they have an excelent hand also cant go into final fortress from ultimte unless summoned from last also would recomend xyz tribalrivals since 90% of your monsters r gonna be with 2 or more materials on em and thus protected from stuff and if battled the enemy is going down with ya from the bonus effect it gives to the xyz monsters on your board
@@dylanlevit1822 Unfortunately you can't, at least not normally. Ultimate Falcon is immune to everything, which sadly include's Skip Force's targeting effect. However if you summon Ultimate Falcon with Raidraptor Last Strix's effect Ultimate Falcon's omni immunity is negated thus allowing you to use Skip Force on it to summon Final Fortress Falcon.
@@izukazephoenix Hmm, good strategy. I'll have to remember that one. Ultimate Falcon can't be ranked up on the field, but it can be ranked up from the graveyard as its omni immunity is only active while it's on the field.
Raidraptors are apart of what i like to call "War machine" deck, War machine cards are my all out favorite type of cards because of how they are used in the anime, other cases are the borrel, or drone monsters in vrains, the trains in zexal or even aincent gears, Giant machines with amazing design and cool as all hell attack animation, The ones i love the most who use them is revovler and shun becuase they are just so cool, i used to not like shun but then the first time he summoned rise falcon in a 3 on 1 duel and even when down to 100 lp when the apponent said we will get you next turn he just goes "There is no next turn." GOD HE IS SO COOL!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh after testing them at my locals, they have insanely high ceiling compared to what they once were limited to. nearly every duel i won was an OTK on the second turn thanks to their absurd damage output, and the deck is now pretty strong against negating the starters thanks to extenders being more available, but they still have that "if you kill the first bird asap, then the deck probably dies" problem. swallows nest and cattle call can mitigate this to a degree, but really, getting past that is the biggest problem right now. .

The issue is he hard locks you to RR the turn you use it which immediately lowers the ceiling of your turn. It's why most decks dropped it.
Rudder Strix has protusions that look like a ship's rudder.

@@blazesona12 Actually, I’ve seen Zeus be brought out easily in quite a few decks, mainly Zoodiacs after a direct attack with Boarbow.

I have fond memories playing this deck with a mini PK engine. It included Shade Brig as a material for Time Thief Redoer.

Rise Falcon in Anime is so much better. It can gain ATK of all opponent's special summon monsters and can attack all of them. Such an OTK monster.
