I remember once, I went into a store & when I came out 15 minutes later, the car beside me was literally white with bird shit. Both were red to begin with, but... I guess they didn't like that shade of red. WOW.
I love this video. The C-16/Bill 89 fear mongering is annoying and it's nice to see a video explaining what they really mean from a legal perspective. Thanks for making this.
If you want to own a business and make money, you have to obey the same laws as everyone else. Your personal opinion of another person, how they self identify, or how they live their lives is irrelevant. Obey the law, or find another way to make a living.
Due tell Mr. Heleno Henzo what in your opinion is perverse? Should we all be clones of you? Sharing only your opinions, lifestyle and morals? I am sorry to disappoint you, but I will not lower my moral compass to that level. I believe you need to look through your book of wonders till you come to the parts about judging people, and that your sky god reserves the right to be the only judge.
+Heleno Henzo What do you have against perverts? Aren't you a christian yourself? There is hardly any larger perversion of empathy and human morals imaginable than a christian believer. There literally is no perversion or abominable atrocity in history that was never committed in the name of your religion by a person believing at least as much as yourself. What could be more perverted than that?
it is my business, i serve who i want, u cant force people to use their stuffs for who u want them to use for. u r talking like my business is government's
Thank you for explaining this all to us, also thank you to your friend the law student, who's name you should put in the description. She's done a good job here.
First of all, Ham & AiG is GENIUS! Secondly, the Bible is wildly misogynistic. According to its myths, women are cursed with the pain of childbirth because original sin is Eve's fault. So their point is moot. Secondly, misogynist Paul expressly stated that women are to be silent and they are not allowed to teach men or even ask questions at church. This should be handled by their husbands instead. So why is this female attorney speaking? And why is she even an attorney? Wouldn't she need to team up with another female attorney in order for their collective opinions to be as valuable as those of one male attorney? These AiG people sure are fond of cherry picking!
misogynism is politics, it has nothing to do w/ reality, woman and man are not the same, they were created for different reasons. God didnt just cursed woman but man w/ the curse of provide. women shouldnt talk in the church, less attention on them on church the better, they have more sexual attributes which is impossible to cover, they werent created to lead but procreate
HELENO HENZO And you are the perfect example of the misogyny I was referring to. Women and men are equal. Evolution dictates that all creatures (female AND male) procreate to pass on their genes, but on a macro level. It's up to the individual if they wish to have children. Procreation is not our only value in modern society, especially with our rampant overpopulation problems. Women and men are complete equals, and the things women have to say are just as valuable as the statements of any men. It's a good thing your outdated bronze-age "values" don't dictate our societal norms today. Women should speak out in your church and in every every part of society, and they should never, ever tolerate being silenced by the likes of backward thinkers like you. You would fit in remarkably well in the Middle East, where women are often treated like property and baby boy incubaters. How dehumanizing, disgusting and demeaning. And "more sexual attributes which are impossible to cover???" Are you kidding me here? Maybe they have more sexual attributes TO YOU, but did you ever stop to think that not everyone thinks exactly as you do? I happen to be gay, so I am attracted to men. In my eyes, men have many more sexual attributes than women do, but I have enough empathy to understand that not everyone sees it that way, nor should they. You should have the sense to know that roughly half the population finds men more attractive than women and vice versa. The world is not all about straight men, especially considering you're actually in the minority compared to 51% females plus 5% - 10% gay men. You do the math. I won't be wasting my time responding to any more of your chauvinistic statements here. I've already given you more attention than you deserve. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go re-read "The Shock Doctrine" by the socio-economic genius Naomi Klein. I'm not sure if she's ever procreated, but she's a hell of a political analyst, commentator and author. You should check out her books...
women and men are the same? why are they called men and women? woman were created for procreation, nurse, and housekeeping, they werent created to provide, lead, and protect, those are men's duties. women should have what to say about procreation, nurse, and housekeeping. backward thinking? did the nature of men and women bodies changed? evolutionism? who still believe in evolutionism? dont u know only mind knows u need female and male, and life must be complete from the start like bible teaches? overpopulation? where? if that is the case, u r part of the part, if u r concerned, help by killing yourself. u happen to be homo? u just claim to be a perverted, vile and sick person.
The thing I find most disturbing that christians do is how quickly, gleefully, and confidently they discard the commandment about bearing false witness to defend their particular warped interpretation of their religion. They have excused their dishonesty by saying it is OK to lie in defence of their religion and they certainly are not shy about taking that excuse and running wildly with it.
Another gem. The more of Paulogia's Ham n Aigs analysis I see, the more astounded I become at the level of ignorance, deceptiveness, silliness and outright mendacity of the Hamites. Keep up this excellent work, Paulogia and friends.
Southern Knight+ You have a profound lack of understanding of what atheism is. If you actually knew what atheism was you would see just how ignorant and oxymoronic your post is. atheism is a religion like *abstinence is a sex position. *bald is a hair colour * 'off' is a channel on the TV *unemployment is a job *healthy is a disease *clear is a colour *barefoot is a type of shoe. BTW there is just as much credible evidence for the Flying Spaghetti Monster as there is for Yewah, or Odin, or Zeus, or The Great Spirits, or Gaia, and an atheist doesn't believe any/all of them exist.
Orion - How dare you blaspheme against the Flying Spaghetti Monster! (May his noodly appendage touch us all.) No stripper factory and beer volcano for you!
Equality means you are treated the same, you are permitted to do the same things and go the same places. Christians want women to live second class lives, and not complain.
OMG Canada! You actually mean that there's legislation in place saying that you need to treat people with respect and religious types can't get away with being bigots and hiding behind their religion? Why is bad again?
saying its wrong for women to occupy traditional roles, is as wrong as saying the opposite, women should do as they damn well please, and not be discouraged from being the homemaker, if that's what they want to do.
You shedding light on the lies and half-truths spread by Ken Ham and "AiG News" must really make their blood boil. Keep up the great work Paul; this is my new favorite TH-cam channel.
Paul, I really mean this when I say that I really hope you make it big on TH-cam. You're one of my go to channels for this genre of content anymore and I love your stuff. Good luck, man. I'm rootin' for ya!
hey Paul great episode as always and i agree with you on all the points you made but i will say you should put a correction in the description or in a annotation on the screen as the all men are created equal line is in the declaration of independence not the constitution. so yeah great episode as always just have that one minor correction to what you said. just keep up the good work Paul and i look forward to your next episode
no problem you will be surprised how many americans actually make that same mistake. but keep up the good work with your videos. i just like your videos cause you provide your sources and facts when you make statements.
As a Christian I believe the highest commandment as to how we relate to each outher is love your neighbor as yourself. Based on that if referring to a MTF transgender as she will help them feel better about themselves, even by a tiny amount, she is how I'll refer to them doing so doesn't hurt me at all but might be of benefit to them. Christians NEED to remember we are called to love not hate.
What's with the Shoe0nHead clip? She pretty much completely disagrees with the wage cap argument. The button actually says: "The wage gap is simply the average earnings of men and women working full time. It does not count for different job positions, hours worked, or different jobs. It has nothing to do with the same job. It has nothing to do with discrimination."
First time I heard about this bill it did seem like a way to limit free speech. The more I look into it the more I find this conclusion about it. Thanks again. Logicked and Armored Skeptic had good (but opposing) videos which was great because they are both voices of reason I do respect. So it gave a great way to view multiple sides of an argument. Something religious groups could learn to do more of...lol.
Great video. I only wish I had seen it before a coworker told me I could be fired for citing a bible verse. She had some misapprehensions about the Battle River School division being required to remove a particularly nasty bible passage from the required "statement of faith" I did capture that the particular passage promoted discrimination against a minority group, and that I had serious questions about the quality of education provided. The public dollars angle would have been useful to my argument. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Amy was fantastic. She needs to be on many future episodes! Also, "Wait, wait, wait. Did you just say a university would be a credible source? Where did that come from? I'm definitely gonna have to save this clip for later" was hilarious! I'm still laughing over that one.
Hey Paulogia. Keep up the good work. I'm a fellow de-converted Albertan and happen to be LGBT. Thanks for clearing up some questions about this legislation! Your a good man!
I'm laughing so hard right now, the ad that came up before this video was one about persecuted christians. Since I've started watching this channel and others like it, I can't seem to get ads for anything but Prager U and the like. It's pretty funny.
So, I hadn't expected this vid to make me want to move to Canada (after I graduate university - I've still got about 2 years left). It's not like I hadn't considered it before (basically every time I get depressed over the news, which is a lot these days), but I hadn't realized Canada was quite that accepting of LGBT. Usually, when I seriously think about moving to Canada, it's because of something fucked up the US has done. It's nice that it's a positive story making me consider it for a change. I do find it amusing that the guy from Australia seems to think that the US Constitution has any sway over other nations' laws.
what a fantastic video! Great job to both of you! Well done Paul as always of course. You really did find a ringer! She did a wonderful job explaining everything and seems like a very smart person. Hopefully we see more of her explaining any more legal shenanigans because if I can understand you know she did a good job. lmao on a side note if you keep doing what you are doing you will rival the big guys before you know it. You do an awesome job explaining things without always being entirely condescending and at the same time you are very entertaining and easy to listen to. In my opinion you will reach a lot of people. Maybe even required material for every student on the planet some day. I can hope cant I? lol
I think it's the Declaration of Independence that says, "all men are created equal", Not the US Constitution. In fact, i don't even remember seeing the word "created" in the Constitution>
I love how Christians feel that there being unfairly treated considering laws . In reality there are no atheists in government . We always have to listen to the president coddle his people , I mean do people really think Christmas is at war in America?
Not long ago I got told to not give my opinions on American politics and while I am very tempted to ask the same of Ken and his ilk I won't. I don't believe in this dystopian culture of keeping our opinions to ourselves... However I'd like them to stop misrepresenting my country's politics and social matters...(in other words I'd like the fearmongering bs to stop ASAP!)
NobodyNowhereKnowhow she seemed knowledgeable until she made her snarky comment about women not being paid the same.... for someone as researched as she seems, she has no problem spreading around an obnoxious myth that's been thoroughly refuted and debunked countless times now
ApostateltsopA We've had funding for Catholic schools for a long time, and some other churches have petitioned the government for recognition and funding for a seperate school board. Since one religious group was funded, it would have been discriminatory to refuse funding to another group. It's a cluster-fuck, imo - will we be funding ALL religions? Hundreds of different types of faith, all jockeying for funds? No thanks! I've long been of the opinion that ANY government funding for ANY religion just opens a giant can of worms, so no religions should recieve funding. Besides, the schools that are funded are forced to de-emphasize parts of their credo which are discriminatory, as stated in this video, and what fun is religion without the bits that allow you to feel superior to the heathens? I'm an Agnostic Atheist, btw - if you couldn't tell 😂
Props to you for not following in lockstep with the fear-mongering atheists crying about feminism and having a woman come on and explain everything. That took balls. Thank you.
Assuming this is an accurate representation of the worst hate speech can do in canada that would seem to mean that we use a different standard than europe. Are you certain we either have a different set of laws around it or that our case history has actually reflected this definition?
It seemed as though god actually set up a scenario with the magic fruit to sweep his failure to instill knowledge of right and wrong in Adam and Eve under the rug
This was hard to listen to. Ham and Aig made bad points and then you guys made bad rebuttals. For instance, this law isn't a big deal because it's an amendment to a previous law instead of discussing the possible consequences. Is it likely to be abused, is it necessary, etc.
You mention armored skeptic as a titan of skepticism in the same video in which you debunk the authoritarian and criminal implications of bill 89 and c-16 Oh the irony
What it is intended to do, and the implications of (said bill) are far different. I want everyone to be accepted for who they are, I just don't want it to be under this idea of penalty...lest we be relegated to an ideology
the problem is now there is collage and university's that are using this exactly that way giving this video was done way before but still, its being used behind closed doors to shut down free speech all the time this was a horrible law and as a Canadian i am very much ashamed of this law in Canada.
Jordan Peterson has some really good arguments about c16; vague illdefined terms, codifying scientific falsehoods, potential for imprisonment due to CONTEMPT OF COURT for failing to adhere to the human rights board judgements, or refusing to pay $250K fines imposed on failing to use made up words.
Was catching up on episodes I'd missed, and hubby was telling me he didn't care because he wasn't paying attention (I try to avoid religious anything around him, regardless of what it's saying even if he'd agree, because just mentioning "god" in a sentence can get him started on how stupid and fake it is), and the ham and eggs bit at the beginning played and he was like "THAT I can't ignore, what the hell is that?"
JennOscura, maybe it doesn't exist where you live, but here in the States (and probably in Canada) it is a real thing, if sometimes some people exaggerate it.
@@tommcdonald4014 I live in the US. The wage gap in the US has been debunked. It's an earnings gap. It's not based on discrimination. If women want to earn as much as men then they can work as long and hard as men.
I am a relatively new subscriber and enjoy your videos. The only thing I have a slight problem is with the song "Ham and eggs" . Due to my last name I had enough of that in high school. But I guess I can put my big boy pants on. And it is such a relief to see that I can still go to Canada and be a general asshole to transgender people and not go to jail. Just something to remember in case I decide that I hate those people for no rational reason at all.
Jesus didn't do anything. The books weren't written until decades after the 'events' if they happened. Mark's book had the whole thing at the tomb added later by others.
I'm an atheist and I always defend the rights of the gay community and I also have no love for AIE but regulating speech in any way or form no matter how mild you think it is is still wrong.
No mention of Lillith then? Adams first wife, the one that was abused and fled to the original 'battered wives shelter', Yeah they hushed that one up good. Not at all misogynistic 😁
Lilith is not a biblical figure but stems from talmudic traditions. I.e. only jews give any credence to THAT mythical story while christians and muslims could not care less. (except when it is convenient... The Hamster took the four names of the wives of Noah and his sons from there too... Seems Genesis cannot give ALL the answers you need to build a showboat in form of a giant barn/Silo? :D)
@Pauogia Like your guest I am not a lawyer but There was a court case a few years back where a corporation was being sued by an individual.Don't remember what the case was about or the corporation involved but that's not important. What is important is that the individual won the case but the judge in rendering his decision said that this case should not set a precedent in law. Again not a lawyer but I thought that, that was one of the reasons why you take someone or a corporation to court, yes to get justice but also to set precedent so that this doesn't happen again and if it does, the penalties will be more severe. Again not a lawyer but I hope you got the jist of what I am trying to say. Maybe you can look into this or have your guest on this video do so if she doesn't already know the answer. I hope that this was just that judge's opinion but like cops and lawyers, judges stick together and even if this judge is not the final decision on whether it should set a precedent or not, I fear it will be up to an other judge and he,she, or they will just back this judge's decision
20:37 I have read very similar defense for Islam too. Of course it is a matter of interpretation so I won't use any Scotsman fallacies either about Christians or Muslims but I think it should be pointed out that people have made these defenses about THAT religion as well.
Disingenuity is the driving force behind everything that Ham and his sheep do Getting things wrong is a virtue with them. How else could they forgive themselves for the unerring frequency at which they do it?
So in less than two minutes Ham and AIG goes directly to Panic Alert and exaggeration. Of course, they learned from the same people I did. I still find that button easy to push say, when I can't find my glasses or the TV remote.
18:30 Am I the only one here to look at that picture of Jesus and think, "If I see a scene like this in real life, I'd want to know what that guy is doing with all those kids who are not his kids, or siblings.
What do you think of Jordan B. Peterson and his claim that this new law compels the use of gender pronouns such as Zie? He seems to be a new star on you tube.
Peterson engages in the same kind of fear mongering that AiG engages in, on this issues. Also, like AiG, he is held in high esteem mainly by a staunchly ideological core of followers who mistake their confirmation bias for critical thought.
Thanks Paul. You criticised my performance of my debate of Kent hovind as if I were just some layman off of the street that didn't throw any punches that landed nor did anything I say refuting his absurd viewpoint. We all love Monday morning chair quarterbacks so please, let's pretend it is Monday morning and give me your wonderful sage advice of what I should've said and where I messed up. (Spoiler alert: #wholedebate). If there is one thing that all of you haters of my debate will be happy to know is that my 3rd debate with Kent is my last with him. I refuse to give him any more videos in order to be used to make money or in anyway that I believe would be used in a way that isn't something that I approve. Anyway, please, help me realise my terrible contribution to the science side.
Nolan -- First, thank you for taking the time to reach out to me on something that is clearly an important passion for you and for giving me some hints about the affect of some careless words of mine. Second, huge respect to you for putting yourself out there to combat in earnest one of the slimiest individuals I'm aware of. Time, effort, preparation, personal risk, making yourself a target to any side listening, standing up for what you believe.... that was all awesome and highly commendable. I saw the crowd praising this in live chat and also in the after hangout. I hope you saw these comments too. If you're asking what I would do, personally... I wouldn't have debated him. Steve asked me a while back if I wanted to be on the slate and I turned him down, as personally enjoyable as that might have been and beneficial for my channel, perhaps. I'm fresh out of believing what Kent believes and while I've learned much and understand where to find the flaws, it is simply not second-nature enough nor am I experienced or qualified enough to convince an audience of HIS supporters to doubt their positions. There's a reason I do produced videos and not live ones... I don't know this stuff like I should. I'm still learning everything. I don't know much about your background or story, so I would definitely not suggest that's the call you should have made. All I know is how the debate sounded to me -- someone freshly off the Hovind train-of-thought -- and it would have served to affirm for me that the young earth position was correct. Because with them, it's not about the facts... it's equally as much how the facts are given. In my opinion, your early attacks on Kent's character and intelligence set the tone that his audience could feel justified in dismissing you as an angry scoffer. Not that you need to be kind... King Crocoduck certainly isn't kind. But to plant those seeds of doubt, the audience needs to be shown that Kent is full of shit, not told that he's full of shit. After Steve adjusted that, you laid several clever traps for him to walk into, but they were subtle and required that the audience have some knowledge about the topics you were referring to. These moments didn't pay off as well as they could, in my opinion, because they were too clever. Kent's audience couldn't play along or get the punch line. Finally, if I'm honest, your facts weren't spit out with the same polish and confidence of Kent's. His "facts" are bullshit, but he delivers them like they are unchallengeable wisdom. Asking Steve to help you out on a fact is hard to come back from for a non-charitable audience. A confident "I don't know" comes across much more genuinely. It was during my work day, so I was in and out of listening, particularly after the first few rounds. You are clearly a very very smart guy, and even now I'm second-guessing myself about how you'd like me to answer or where you might be leading this, or -- if I'm honest -- if you're sincere about any of it. I'll re-admit, for the record here, that my words in side chat were overly judgmental and definitely irresponsible both to you and to any theist in the room who may have been evaluating the whole scene. What I saw was you playing in to Kent's hands of the angry atheist whose presentation was uncertain. That frustrated me. Kent doesn't want to prove his case... he cares only about ensuring there's doubt in materialist explanations. I wish you all the best in the third debate. Know that I'm cheering for you, but I'll probably remain silent to avoid lending distraction or disrespect.
Nitpicking but at the beginning of the video it is stated that her thoughts are her opinion on what she has studied regarding the video subject matters, that she is not a lawyer, and still in law school nor is she giving legal advice. Then she uses the term fact in the video while addressing the Canadian laws being brought up. An opinion can certainly be a fact but you should not lead into a video by stating the following will be opinion and then use the term fact when you previously stated this would be your opinion. Especially since, particularly on bill C-16, there has been other videos produced disagreeing with her reading of the law by lawyers in Canada, testimony was given against C-16 to the Canadian senate (by lawyers, civilians, transgenders, etc.), etc. I think the large disagreement in what the law actually factually means points definitively that the bill is sloppily written and should not have been made law ever or until it was rewritten to not potentially infringe on freedom of speech. Sloppy laws lead to sloppy readings which bring about incorrect enforcement of the actual intent of the law.
That wage gap argument in America as least has been False without a shadow of a doubt now I don't know if its the same in Canada but in America there is no pay wage gap the only reason women make less is because they go into different fields of work that pay less. Unless your argument is that surgeons and construction workers should be payed the same as gender study majors and vets then you have no room to talk and if that is your argument then its weak as hell. Construction works is especially male dominated and horribly dangerous so they get payed a hell of a lot more due to the fact that it is so dangerous everything literally EVERYTHING on a construction site can kill you from the materials used to build buildings to the tools used everything can kill you hence the term HAZARD PAY.
She seems to be confusing sex with gender. Then again, this is someone who takes Biblical mythology at face value, so I shouldn't really be expecting thoughtful, well-researched statements.
It drives me nuts when people like Paulogia, Logicked, and others try to be politically correct by saying that people like Ken are 'misrepresenting' things even when they are outright and very blatantly lying.
Adam and Eve is the least important part of the bible. Consider the verses that command women to be silent, to obey men, to take the blame when they are raped, to take the blame for adultery, to deny women the right to ever have authority over men...
Wasn't Sneling the guy living the double life, publishing papers in scientific journals while at the same time contradicting those papers while working for AiG?
Ah yes... Man's original sin... Whilst simultaneously ignoring that God lied, saying that "On the day you eat of the fruit, you will surely die." and that the Serpent called bullshit. Somehow it's all man's fault for giving in to his curiosity, and the serpent's fault for telling the truth where God lied.
Even worse, god supposedly created people to be fallible and knowing beforehand they would sin. God created Adam and Eve knowing beforehand what they would do - so it's god's original sin.
At 5:00 she, hmmm, she states she can't believe she is using "these" words? Has she listened to herself reading from the OT or Revelation? The answer is of course not, just as with a Muslim reading the juicier parts of the Quran or some of the crazed rankings from various Hindu sects.
5:06 "Not your choice." Wow, something I actually agree with her. Too bad she used that as a strawman, pun definitely intended. Trans people don't claim that it is, and as far as I know neither do most non binary people. And how is non binary so difficult for her to understand? Has she ever heard of Swyer syndrome? People with it are born with female genitals but have XY chromosomes. I think majority of them identify fully as women but it does show gender isn't always clear cut (another trans pun) biologically.
I guess Ham still hasn't gotten over the Canadian Geese doing some free decorating to his car.
worth it.
I remember once, I went into a store & when I came out 15 minutes later, the car beside me was literally white with bird shit. Both were red to begin with, but... I guess they didn't like that shade of red. WOW.
Canadian flag is red and white. Your cars were too red, so patriotically, they added some white.
*Canada Geese
I love this video. The C-16/Bill 89 fear mongering is annoying and it's nice to see a video explaining what they really mean from a legal perspective.
Thanks for making this.
fear mongering? the law says i have to employ a perverted person, that is as worse as bake a cake for perverted "wedding" of man and man

Thanks TCoS! I think... :)
Those godless Canadians! Good on em.
They violate the US Constitution.
Thank you for explaining this all to us, also thank you to your friend the law student, who's name you should put in the description. She's done a good job here.
Amy asked for some anonymity... but maybe I'll have her on more freely in the future.
Ah, okay, I respect that. Please tell her it was good.

Castle, he's a nutcase that has had several of his websites closed by Utube due to not following their guidelines.
Marilyn Newman Definitely a nutcase!
Rational discourse, Canada, who would've think it. BRILLIANT! Thank you guys!
When in public, such as running a business, you must abide by public rules. Only when you are in private do your private rules apply.
Word. I don't see why this is so hard for certainly people to understand.
Argg, I am getting sick of some christians calling atheism a religion.
Brad Wall- That's what it has become.
Southern Knight, only to those who know nothing about the athiests.
Brad Wall- Atheists have created their own religion. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is their god. lol!
Southern Knight+ You have a profound lack of understanding of what atheism is. If you actually knew what atheism was you would see just how ignorant and oxymoronic your post is.
atheism is a religion like
*abstinence is a sex position.
*bald is a hair colour
* 'off' is a channel on the TV
*unemployment is a job
*healthy is a disease
*clear is a colour
*barefoot is a type of shoe.
Yes
OMG Canada! You actually mean that there's legislation in place saying that you need to treat people with respect and religious types can't get away with being bigots and hiding behind their religion?
Why is bad again?
Because MUH FREEZE PEACH!
It's blatantly unamerican.
saying its wrong for women to occupy traditional roles, is as wrong as saying the opposite, women should do as they damn well please, and not be discouraged from being the homemaker, if that's what they want to do.
You shedding light on the lies and half-truths spread by Ken Ham and "AiG News" must really make their blood boil. Keep up the great work Paul; this is my new favorite TH-cam channel.
Thanks, Kevin. Welcome. I'd love to imagine they've seen my show... but probably not.
Paul, I really mean this when I say that I really hope you make it big on TH-cam. You're one of my go to channels for this genre of content anymore and I love your stuff. Good luck, man. I'm rootin' for ya!
Thanks, ASSS! (an unfortunate acronym? ha)
Spread the word...
hey Paul great episode as always and i agree with you on all the points you made but i will say you should put a correction in the description or in a annotation on the screen as the all men are created equal line is in the declaration of independence not the constitution. so yeah great episode as always just have that one minor correction to what you said. just keep up the good work Paul and i look forward to your next episode
Oops. Bad Canadian.
no problem you will be surprised how many americans actually make that same mistake. but keep up the good work with your videos. i just like your videos cause you provide your sources and facts when you make statements.
The button actually says:
"The wage gap is simply the average earnings of men and women working full time. It does not count for different job positions, hours worked, or different jobs. It has nothing to do with the same job. It has nothing to do with discrimination."
16:00 The way I read it, GOD was responsible for "Original Sin"
First time I heard about this bill it did seem like a way to limit free speech. The more I look into it the more I find this conclusion about it. Thanks again. Logicked and Armored Skeptic had good (but opposing) videos which was great because they are both voices of reason I do respect. So it gave a great way to view multiple sides of an argument. Something religious groups could learn to do more of...lol.
Listening to AIG is like listening to a conversation in the pub.
Great video. I only wish I had seen it before a coworker told me I could be fired for citing a bible verse.
She had some misapprehensions about the Battle River School division being required to remove a particularly nasty bible passage from the required "statement of faith"
I did capture that the particular passage promoted discrimination against a minority group, and that I had serious questions about the quality of education provided.
The public dollars angle would have been useful to my argument.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
This was such a wonderful video, thank you both so much!
Welcome, Jonathan!
Yes! Blessed are the Cheesemakers!
glad someone caught that.
and makers of all dairy products
Another great video! I love your content and the fact that you are producing so much of it.
I don't know who that woman is, but if she does become a lawyer, I'd love for her to represent me!
I'm laughing so hard right now, the ad that came up before this video was one about persecuted christians. Since I've started watching this channel and others like it, I can't seem to get ads for anything but Prager U and the like. It's pretty funny.
According to Ken, one day he's saying the authorities are persecuting religion's like Islam the next they're backing them!
"Religious freedom" is an oxymoron.
I’m living back in Canada (BC) now and relatively recent atheist (thanks atheist TH-cam!). Where can I connect with fellow Canadian atheists?
what a fantastic video! Great job to both of you! Well done Paul as always of course. You really did find a ringer! She did a wonderful job explaining everything and seems like a very smart person. Hopefully we see more of her explaining any more legal shenanigans because if I can understand you know she did a good job. lmao
on a side note if you keep doing what you are doing you will rival the big guys before you know it. You do an awesome job explaining things without always being entirely condescending and at the same time you are very entertaining and easy to listen to. In my opinion you will reach a lot of people. Maybe even required material for every student on the planet some day. I can hope cant I? lol
thanks for all the support, Cornlips... and I fully agree on Amy. Hope to have her back to help me look better.
I like her. She seemed very knowledgeable. You should have her back.
NobodyNowhereKnowhow she seemed knowledgeable until she made her snarky comment about women not being paid the same.... for someone as researched as she seems, she has no problem spreading around an obnoxious myth that's been thoroughly refuted and debunked countless times now
I´m not really sure, but hasn´t the woman in the video been in many atheist videos with Matthew Something? What happened to her?
How did a "Christian" school get government funding?!
ApostateltsopA
We've had funding for Catholic schools for a long time, and some other churches have petitioned the government for recognition and funding for a seperate school board.
Thank you.
I knew a guy who once thought that marriage should be between a man and a woman and was locked up for five years.
That must have made the news. Have a link? What country?
That was my sad attempt at satire. Please ignore my foolishness. Thanks for the video! I rather enjoyed it.
adams first wife
was lilith
But she wanted to do it cowgirl style,on top,,so God cursed her into some sort of demon or monster,lol..makes perfect sense
Thanks for this, because we all know that certain segments of the atheist community will be using these same arguments.
I prefer my name for him Ken Hamwich.
Why is Christian Cornerstone Academy even being funded by the government? Oh wait, it's Canada! Never mind.
I totally love your guest!
omg ken ham mentioned kinda, my former school district yay. Though hearing the actual name from Amy helped clarify what they were talking about.
What is the Adam and Eve video excerpt from? It looks like the beginning to a really bad porno.
You mention armored skeptic as a titan of skepticism in the same video in which you debunk the authoritarian and criminal implications of bill 89 and c-16
Oh the irony
What it is intended to do, and the implications of (said bill) are far different.
I want everyone to be accepted for who they are, I just don't want it to be under this idea of penalty...lest we be relegated to an ideology
I'm not getting notifications I'm subscribed and I have the Bell
that's sad. thanks for checking.
Hey Paul I'd love to see you make a video of you visiting the creation museum
But but but.... then I'd have to visit it.
I know I think your reaction would be hillarious
My opinion of Jimmy Carter just went up.
Amateur lawyer is not as bad as amateur surgeon.
the problem is now there is collage and university's that are using this exactly that way giving this video was done way before but still, its being used behind closed doors to shut down free speech all the time this was a horrible law and as a Canadian i am very much ashamed of this law in Canada.
Jordan Peterson has some really good arguments about c16; vague illdefined terms, codifying scientific falsehoods, potential for imprisonment due to CONTEMPT OF COURT for failing to adhere to the human rights board judgements, or refusing to pay $250K fines imposed on failing to use made up words.
easiest way to piss off a canadian...when a canadian says his favorite sport is hockey, casually ask "ice hockey"?
Amy, you rock! Just saying ^,..,^
You do realize that shoe0nhead's wage gap button doesn't agree with it existing, right?
Reality doesn't agree with it existing.
Jesus made women the first "witnesses" because he thought he could more easily fool them.
EXACTLY
Why is the woman teaching she is suppose to keep here mouth shut according to the bible
I'm roughly an amateur lawyer, which is as bad an idea as it sounds.
LOL
No one expects the human rights tribunal
Air is not only misrepresenting, but outright lying.
Please tell me you use some super mario 64-esque timers to make yourself blink instead of doing each one manually in editing ._. That'd take so long
blink
blink
I don't know why but every time I watch one of your videos that's all I can think about xD
Although neither ham or egg are considered fruits, they are definitely low hanging.
Paul has explained why he focuses on them.
Nolan --
First, thank you for taking the time to reach out to me on something that is clearly an important passion for you and for giving me some hints about the affect of some careless words of mine.
When interpreting the bible, it is a bit like playing a violin. You can pretty much play any tune you like on it.
You went waaaay too long without blinking.
Fair point.
Great episode, Amy was an informative guest.
obviously, Eve, since she's created second, is obviously the updated model after the first model turned out defective
16:20 God created Eve because Adam wanted to get laid and the sheep had learned to run away when they saw him.
I wonder why their definition of hate speech includes slight non transgressions?
It drives me nuts when people like Paulogia, Logicked, and others try to be politically correct by saying that people like Ken are 'misrepresenting' things even when they are outright and very blatantly lying.
Adam and Eve is the least important part of the bible. Consider the verses that command women to be silent, to obey men, to take the blame when they are raped, to take the blame for adultery, to deny women the right to ever have authority over men...
Wasn't Sneling the guy living the double life, publishing papers in scientific journals while at the same time contradicting those papers while working for AiG?
+BlackEpyon yes
Why are they so obsessed about things which are none of their buisness?!
It's bizarre.
Sorry about misidentifying Bodie for Roger. That gape toothed, slack jawed expression is alll too common!
Got a christian ad....
