I swear this is the only boss that made me hate him so much that I had to beat him out of pure spite. I could not rest until I beat him. I released a primal roar after I won and I felt truly accomplished. It was a wild ride.
@@AiLAT same for me, at first I thought it was impossible, but I realized it was just a faster version of the normal grimm fight, and I quickly learned how to avoid most of the attacks, I still released a roar after beating him because I'm garbage at games
My friend got it didn't play it but we game share and I love and hate this game (difficulty is one thing I hate and I have joycon drift so the game is like ten times harder

@@natas4301 I didn't cut short his achievement, I say, that with practice it becomes easier to do because you already know the game. And I know what you're talking about. I died to the knights TWICE. (Seriously I hate those guy) But when you die a lot in that mode, the game becomes more like a process and to do list, more than live or die situation.Still, beating steel soul its a GREAT achievement, it was not my intention to make less about it and I'm sorry if I put it like that. I myself felt very relieved to make it, and to know that someone else did it too, makes me see that people can be strong and despite all the pain it causes starting over, we can still put it through.
@Grumpy Goose Since he had complete the game multiple times before and practiced a lot, he beat it first try (with an alt+f4 at one point, but he still did it)
No joke by the time i beat NKG i was numb, i felt no emotion except relief and sadness, because well i mean, the setting you fight NKG in the first time is so good, plus the fight is hard but fun, and the theme is great, you know what, grimm is great all around no ifs and/or buts
A lot of how I played HK made it mostly a breeze. It was difficult, but later I fought Ascended NKG with Overcharmed and managed to win without a single hit on me. It took only at most two hours to get my strat down. Which was attack as often as he was on the screen. I managed to find a way to get an attack in every one of his attacks. Well, except the one he's not on the screen for.
Everyone talks about how hard this boss is, and I’m here sipping my latte with my radiant mark and working on ascended because I love this boss so much
The grimm troupe dlc was the most fun i have ever had with bossfights in any videogame ever, followed very closely by the valkyries in god of war 4. Fucking props to team cherry for making such a perfect boss.

And Grimm, I still remember slowly getting better at him. Learning his rhythm... step by step, following his choreography. Slowly but surely, fitting into the scarlet dance, and standing right beside him, shoulder to shoulder, equal footing. Besting grimm was one of the best things I've ever experienced in any game ever

OOOOO YES You have NO IDEA how much I love this game. I played and completed a TON of games in my life, seriously, but this one is one of my absolute top favorites. I love it so much that I didn't even mind getting my ass kicked HARD trying to 100% this game, especially the DLC. But guess what, I stuck with it, and I DID IT. And I loved eevry minute of it, even the hours and hours I spent just trying to practice those special DLC bosses, and it was well worth it. I absolutely can not wait for Silksong, the moment the trailer released it instantly shot to the top of my most anticipated games of all time. Oh also I should probably mention, yeah the music is fucking awesome. Great job.

i was annoyed with him at first but had to appreciate the music & character design it’s such a fun & visually appealing fight

NKGs attacks are hard, but after practice it’s easy to dodge and overall, it’s a really fun boss
