Rabbits, rats and mice all can end up sticking around in husbandry zones if they first enter it. Not sure why it works like that, but I like it. I've got a small spot where I've gathered a whole bunch of mice in my current playthrough. x'D Thinking of establishing a pen for rats as well.
@@jodylbuchanan Rats are the cutest to pat, they raise their little paw up. Sometimes the wild rats are pretty chill and just sit there when you get near so you can then grab it to take home.
With the rabbits and deer, when you butcher them and the skeleton is left behind, right click it and choose take bones. That will give you very large xp for butchering. Also that sky walkway you would have passed under, please don't walk it, especially up top where it runs parallel to the sheds with the green roofs into the back building, there is nothing there but a 3 story drop either to your death or broken legs if you're lucky.
You'll count as being "next" to the counter as long as you're in one of the adjacent tiles (so, up to about 1 metre away). But there are 2 tiles between his fridge and the counter, so on one of those tiles he'll have access to the fridge but no surface, and on the other he'll have access to the surface but not the fridge. Moving the fridge to the other side of the door would keep both in range.
Having had two runs finished by desire for animal husbandry, please be careful. There is a current bug that causes any young/newly born animal to multiply into the 100's causing 1 FPS death. I am going to try having my "farm" on another tile away from my base or only having 6 female chickens and no male. Anything else seems to be currently doomed to you having an animal explosion

Haha that's awesome!
Yup! In one 100 day series I was watching he had a pet rat because it was in the zone when he set up the coop. You can pet them and everything! 😂

@Retro-Iron11 that's adorable! I might need to find one for my current run. 😊

Thanks for the heads up!
you need to stand next to a counter or a surface to cook and prepare stuff, cant do it in the middle of the room

Thanks for letting me know!
What difficulty level are you playing in?
Custom sandbox - basically Apocalypse but with no respawn, instant infection mortality and I think I made the Zombies all fast shamblers
