Hi Gayle! When you ask for a box, ask them for a bag at the same time. Then you can put your bag next to your handbag on an adjacent chair. You will be less likely to leave your leftovers!

I remember going to my Aunt's house in summer and using the outhouse. No electricity either. Life has come a long way. ❣️🐞

Gayle, I'm so happy I caught this play day with you! I saw the gifted version of this "strip-binding" journal last week (?) and so wished you'd pick it up again and work in it so I could study the binding. Thanks for deciding to put together an art journal on the fly today! Also, I have added your home construction saga to my prayer list -- esp so Alfie can enjoy your backyard again!
Same Gayle, I feel very blessed that my husband and I are both able to be retired. I Have the Parkland Everyday Essentials paper pad. I really like that Heirloom pad. I like that it is a 12X12 too. I will have to go look for that one. I feel like I talked my hubby into going to JoAnne's today, so thanks! hehe. Great crafting today, I crafted right along with you. Have a beautiful day Gayle!

Hey, Gayle, this was so soothing for me to watch this Monday morning. (I'm behind again, of course) My physical status has me completely house-bound these days but my family is so great. Two of my nieces and a great-niece (Princess Cooper, of course) are bringing lunch today so my only agenda this morning is to get a shower before they get here. I was waiting out a load of laundry the hubs put in and watching this and thinking of all the little piles of odds and ends I could get caught up in my craft room one of these days.
January is such a handy month! I have been re-arranging, prioritizing and such, deciding which things need to be RIGHT there at hand and which can be put up on a high shelf that I'll need help to retrieve. Next real project is a baby book for a great-great-nephew who will arrive in April.
Lots of happy things going on in your crafting room today. I enjoy Rachel’s weekly challenge, simple but useful. I hope you had a good visit with your son. I managed the credit recovery classroom at my school for 13 years, but when they shifted paras around I was moved to a different classroom. I get to help teach life skills to Special Ed students now. I’m afraid I don’t have any magical system for tv crafting. I have a lap tray that I work on. And I just haul upstairs whatever I think I’ll need. (And then usually run up and down a bit until I get settled in with everything I need! 😂). I try to do simple tasks watching tv that don’t require a bunch of different supplies. Hope that helps! ❤
I'm so happy that you are doing Roxy's Challenge, even if it is not on camera. It'll make your stash of ephemera more substantial 😆 I hope you show us the digital kits your bringing to the retreat and the choice of ephemera from your stash. I love to watch your process, I keep hoping that I will become more savvy just by watching 😊 I used to date a contractor and I know how hard it is to find reliable help, on many of the jobs I worked with him. I have had a lot of interesting work experiences in my life. I hope your construction work continues soon. Never feel guilty about getting a new craft goody, especially when it's on sale, Sometimes it's the new stuff that inspires us in a new direction. The new full page pocket is a great idea. I have so many 12x12 pages to use up and that will be a great way to do it.

Prayer Request. Pray for California. I am in the Santa Cruz Mountains where we are still recovering from Wild land Fires of 2020. It is intense here. Major damage to homes, highways and local roads. We sure need Prayers. Gayle once again your videos are saving me. Thank you.

I was talking to my oldest grandson about how spoiled we are. In the “olden days,” just surviving was your life- chopping wood, building your own shelter, finding enough food to live.
It’s so funny when you said the contractor should call the sheriff about your carpenter. Since I had that incident with the granite guy being in jail when no one could find him including my contractor and he had my countertop. I don’t know about where you live but where I live jail records are public and you can just look up and see if someone’s in jail if you know his first and last name.
I haven't commented in a while but I love hearing your stories so fun

I try to remember to put my leftover box on the seat next to me with my purse that way I don’t forget it. If I leave it on the table it just blends in with all the empty dishes and crumpled up napkins and it’s easier to forget.
I'm a sucker for 50% off paper. I've also been buying Stamperia papers on sale on Amazon, but I'm buying 2 so I can use both sides. I thought it would help with my hoarding of Stamperia tendency. Now I just need time. I'm glad you are doing Roxy's Weekly Challenge. I hope you decide to film some.

The long teacard pieces- you could see if glueing another on the back would align them in proper position if you glued 2 together then cut the glued piece in half in stead of cutting then gluing however they might not be aligned properly even doing it that way. Just had that thought when you said those didn't align if you folded them. Loved the ones you managed to fold and glue though.

I’m in my 60s and I still work at a Library part time I’m considering retirement so I can craft more. The Grand kids are in so many sports I don’t want to miss them since I work weekends. More time to watch your videos 😊

Oh goodness, Tim Holtz for $3.97??? I'm in Ontario, Canada, His stuff is soooooo expensive, not many Canadian stores carry his stuff to begin with so we have to buy on line and pay exchange and duty which is usually astronomical!!! I was lucky enough to get some Tim stuff 5 years ago from Micheals beore they discontinued carrying it.

Also, I tried to find the tea cards on Etsy and couldn’t find the shop. I really like the idea of folding them over.

Sure hope your carpenter is ok. Hope the contractor at least calls someone to do a wellness check on him at his home,. It's nice doing odds and ends and getting things finished and made. I appreciate you just showing us all the lovely things you make rather you made them on camera or not. Nice paper pads from JoAnn's. I don't have a JoAnn's in our town, but I do enjoy going there on occasion when I go to my daughter's house in another town.

Yes, Rachael said she would be posting on Fridays. I got Roxy’s weekly challenge done today. I did week two first and I just now at 11:15 at night finished week one. I only made two of each, I like might more of some of the others, it depends on what she does. It’s a great idea to make a Christmas one, however, I don’t want to drag my Christmas stuff out. I got it all organized and packed away in a box higher than my head in a cabinet.

I keep meaning to start an "Idea Journal". I am also doing Roxie's weekly challenges and what a better time to make that Idea Journal, thank you. Also, great idea to make a Christmas ephemera with each challenge. Question: On those journaling cards you collaged on from glued pages folded in half, was that a collage of paper strips on the other side? Thank you ☺♥
Yes some tiny colored strips that I saved from cutting out ephemera were on the back of the journal cards. Waste not, want not! 😂❤
