Hi Gayle, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I love these pockets, i have so many envelopes that I've been trying to incorporate into journals so I will definitely be giving this a go. In the case of the flap that inserts into the envelope, I wonder if cutting the corners of the inserted piece diagonally would have solved the problem and that way the width would still be there for the front?

I gave up on New Year’s resolutions a long time ago but I like the idea of the word of the year so I’ve been thinking about it ever since you picked finish. I think mine’s going to be “declutter”, even though I’ve basically been decluttering for 12 years and it really is paying off but I still don’t understand where it keeps coming from. I think the stuff breeds in the closets and in the boxes it just breeds. But anyway I figured an easy way to do it would be in January I’m going to declutter one thing, in February 2 things, in March 3 things, pretty easy pretty simple by the end of the year 78 things will be gone from my house. Some things may be small but I do want to get rid of my entertainment center, the days of a large looming dark wood entertainment center are long gone. I don’t know if anybody will want to pay money for it or if anybody will even want it for free but somebody will have to haul it out of my house because I certainly can’t so we’ll see how that plays out. I love getting rid of large things, it just gives me a high, like some people get an endorphin rush from running or shopping I get it from getting rid of things.

Poor alfie. I know this was filmed a while ago so it won’t help this trip. But when we had our major cold spell last week, we bought Khaleesi dog socks. They are kinda a thick sock with a no skid bottoms and you put them over the foot and Velcro them around the little paw. Now if we could find her a doggy nose cover we would be set. These cold temps do a number on her little sinuses and she gets a sinus infection
