Yes I think the camera though a cheapie does correct that to an extent. The holy grail with the mount seems to be getting the pole the camera sits on really steady. I have a couple of ideas how that could be improved as part of the problem is the bracket moving at the harness, as it is made of cloth and therefore has some inherent movement under load! It will be fun to try this on a short board on a windy day!
Thanks for your comments, glad you enjoy the videos- the batten diameter on the tube batten is 13mm. The battens are from an old Tushingham sail, but I have see very similar ones with very similar sizing in Sailworks, Gaastra, Arrows and various other brands. I guess the main thing is for the batten to have a degree of stiffness over it's length. I have wondered about using fishing rod blanks also, e.g. a base section from a carp rod, or similar, bearing in mind such items can be acquired for very little money. The go pro fitting is perpendicular, i.e. 90 degrees to the batten, so looking straight along the batten to the rider: this seems to get the best angle overall- hope that's clear but let me know if not. Do post a link if you build one, I would love to see it.
great mate.... thank u 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Most welcome sir!✌️
It is amazing how little or no camera shake you get .

thanks good idea
What diameter does the glassfiber battens have? Oh and what is the angle on the Go Pro fitting? I love your video's!
