Whenever i listen to shinee i feel everything they're putting down. But to hear people with a better ear for music point out things im just like YESS!! RIGHTT??? OKAYY! I live.
One thing I loved about Jonghyun is that up until his passing, he was the member who knew his voice and style the best because he was that involved in the creative process. He was always writing, producing, playing around with his vocals, experimenting, drawing influences from a wide range of artists. When he said he was a Jamiroquai fan I was like yessssss!
I'm glad to see his members embracing their solos and exploring their individual creativity. I remember them mentioning how it was to see him so involved even with creating the jingles for his radio show. He was truly an artist to his core when it comes to music but vocally as well. I love how he played around with his voice.
His Story Op2 album is probably my favourite. It's a very chilled album. I love how toned down he was with his vocals at that point. He showed off more of his lower register because we know his falsetto was very well-developed and he used to do the bulk of the belting very early on. I actually think throughout his solo work her has shown different sides and capabilities. I think in 3 years he released 5 bodies of work.
Actually it might have been 5 bodies of work in 2 years 95% of which was self-written and/or self-produced with 2 of his friends under their production grouo called WeFreaky. I think the more CeeCee sees his performances, she'll see Jjong's performance style encompasses his whole body lol.

Saw SHINee so of course I'm here. It got me thinking: Sometimes when people hear shinee new releases they (perhaps appropriately) question their music, but their legacy as leaders in the kpop sound landscape is undeniable when you just glance at the discography. I think Jonghyun's touch was a big part of their sound identity (I'll go as far as saying the heart of their sound), and I personally think that's just a little obscured right now. when you lose such an incredible talent it's not easy to recreate that magic but the remaining members are such an incredible team that I feel like they're creating something something altogether new and fresh. Since we're approaching the 5th anniversary of Jong's passing, I'm finally getting a commemorative tattoo so I can celebrate all the joy this group and that person continues to bring me.

Please show her more of Taemin's vocal focused songs! He sacrificed so much to get the solo and lines he's getting now and he always talks about how he wishes people would recognize him for his vocals as well. It's a pity that she doesn't know about his true potential, there's a reason why Taemin covers most of Jonghyun's parts in live performances, he learned from the best.
Taemin has a whole discography full of great vocals. He has worked hard and earned the respect as a vocalist along with his members. Hopefully Micah gets the chance to show CeeCee someday.
SHINee is such an amazing group in terms of talent and cohesiveness as a group. They bring out the best in each other and the emotions they bring to the songs and performance are mesmerizing. They just are so exciting to listen to and watch because they give so much in every song. I love SHINee so much -- they have endured and stayed relevant because of these strengths. Thanks for covering them Micah and CeeCee!!
Onew is such a talented singer and I think it's better showcased in more emotional songs. His performances on Sea of Hope really did him justice imo
I wish someone in the Koko3op fam would react to Onew & Sunwoo Jung ah sing live "Selene 6.23", a video from the 'Sea Of Hope' show, there are also lyric videos made out of it. It is an amazing & very emotional performance. Got me in 😭😭😭

Ohh.. you have LOTS to check.. LOTS you can check from each SHINee member.. They got lovely vocals, each of them.
my favorite of taemin's live performances that really show his strength and improvement in singing are 1.) rise from the sirius tour in japan 2.) already from the XTM concert and 3.) soldier from his off-sick concert! already was composed and written by jonghyun, and when taemin performs it you can really tell that jonghyun helped train his singing! you can also hear jonghyun's voice in the backing vocals
I would recommend Onew’s Rainy Blue. It’s a Japanese cover with Taemin playing the piano. It was very emotional since it was the first big concert after Onew went through his throat surgery. The original Japanese singer went through the same thing and lost his voice (I’m pretty sure. Maybe he has his voice back now). But Onew was also afraid he won’t be able to continue as a singer, but he retrained his voice and was able to perform that song

EDIT: Seeing CeeCee love these makes me feel validated in my music taste LOL but UGH thank you so much for the first album appreciation!!! Shinee was always here proving that even in their baby era they could SANG (Taemin got there eventually after puberty stopped messing with him lmao). Also love her love for Onew----he's so humble about his talent despite the fact that he kills it every time?? I'll stop now lol but thank you again!!

He did a cover of Selene 6.23 (너와 나의 거리) from their Misconceptions album, which was written by Jonghyun. Even if you don't react to it on the channel I think you'd really appreciate it! It's a very sad love song so CeeCee would prolly be in ruins if she read the lyrics LOL

I'm tired of people always having bad comments about him.
If only people knew how much effort Taemin put into improving his vocal skills and becoming the vocalist he is now.
You may not like his style, but you can't deny his talent both in dance and vocally.
There's a Taemin vocal video and a newly updated range video before he went into the army that shows how much he's improved. He said back in 2021 that his dream title track would be a vocal song/ballad but SM won't let him. Unfortunately, he didn't do a lot of vocal training per SM's decision before debut and once a group debuts you either hope for a break in schedules (Jimin did this once, Baekhyun did this too) to take lessons or give up what little spare time you have (Taemin did this and it's not fun as a fan to hear about the toll it took on his health).

Monologue, Hypnosis, One by One are also great live... I tried to put videos where you can clearly hear live vocals that have none/little post-production; because I know CeeCee will say something - he sometimes goes a little rock with some notes and I swear that is influenced by the vocal coach he got when Jaejoong (JYJ/DBSK) left SM cause Jaejoong has the same habit.

I Say is just gorgeous. It’s one of those songs I actually avoid listening to, because I get chills every time I hear those group vocals and ad libs come in at the end, and I don’t want to stop getting chills, so I don’t listen to it much…if that makes sense lmao

6:03 perhaps not anymore, but they did perform it once in a concert not long after his passing as somewhat of a tribute to him where they kept his vocals in and even left a mic stand where he would have stood. In that version they sing as a full group and considering the context, the lyrics gain a whole new meaning and it’s very emotional but a beautiful performance.
Taemin could be a main vocalist in another company.
considering that taemin's natural talent is dancing
he really worked very hard to improved his vocal skills.

She needs to hear more Taemin music if she does not respect him as a vocalist. He is incredible. His vocal tone in beautiful. He was trained by Jonghyun and has carried on his techniques in his own solo music
if you are reacting to minho's chase, i hope you include in the performance too, which is not in the mv. he has performed the choreo at k909, music core and inkigayo. including 2 of his bsides: waterfall & runaway with his respectivd featurings. also fun fact, he only learned and practice the choreo in 5 days before his first performance at k909, which surprised me because i love the choreo and it fits minho's dance style SOOO well

I am surprised that not many Shawols have even mentioned what she said about Taemin. While it was a bit of a stupid thing to say, I think once she listens to his bsides, you can't deny his singing ability. She may not like his style, but that's ok.
