All of the Shinee members are incredibly talented and very accomplished. There's a reason they are called the Princes of Kpop and are still incredibly popular after 15+ years.

I really struggled to get through this omg. He was such a sweet sweet soul. I miss him. I listened to shinee from debut.
As someone in the industry (US) who has watched him from his debut (2008) he was known for his ability to sing not only with vocal range but also emotion to whatever the song story color was. What he and Shinee did to change Kpop is what you see today. He wrote, produced and composed for the group, himself as a solo artist and others. He worked with Teddy Riley, etc. to produce. Everyone wanted to work with him. He was special. SM Ent. still trains trainee’s with Shinee work for their new artist. Jonghyun is missed to this day.

Jonghyun was part of the group shinee, which is still active today (2008-2023) so I'd recommend checking out some of their songs too, absolutely incredible. I'd say Shinee - Sherlock would be a good starter :) (Also the song he is performing here is not actually his, it's a cover of a Spanish song, but I think that just shows what a trully great artist he is)
A beautiful talent gone much too soon. Korea has one of the highest s u icide rates for young adults. Please everyone know, you matter, there is always hope that things will change and a new day is around the corner. It is something I struggle to remember myself. Sorry, I wish I could listen to this beautiful song and separate it from the tragedy, but seeing taemin on suchitwa the other day sent me down a shinee rabbit hole.
A voice forever missed! Unfortunately, I discovered SHINee in January 2018, a month after Jonghyun's death, so never really got to enjoy him while he was touring with SHINee but I'm so glad there's so much content on TH-cam about him. It took me 2 years to catch up on ALL of SHINee shows, songs, video's, live concerts and Taemin's solo works since he debuted in 2014 with his solo projects which are all off-top as well. The fact that these men are still put'n out bops 16+ years in the industry is ICONIC! I know Jonghyun is shining down from Heaven so proud of his brothers. SHINee will FOREVER be FIVE! Enjoyed your reaction. Hopefully you could venture into more of Taemin's solo projects from his debut album Danger to his Guilty album he just released a week or so ago. You won't be disappointed.

The first time I noticed this talented young man, Jonghyun, was with this song..Y si fueras ella, (Spanish version) written and sung by one of the best Spaniard composers and singers Maestro Alejandro Sanz. Joughyun’s performance and rendition of this song was impressive and captivating. You can clearly hear the audience cheering.. that’s how impactful it was. Powerful and beautiful vocals. An Angel gone too soon.🙏🏼

Recently you just checked out Taemin on your channel. Jonghyun and Taemin are actually from the same group SHINee. If you do ever get into their group music, I would suggest their debut song Replay. I'm glad you enjoyed his performance.

I lived near Jonghyun's house, and I saw him at a convenience store a few days before he died. I was so surprised to hear that he died on the news. He was a great singer

I miss him so much. 😭 It's unfair that depression defeated him 😭 The world lost such a great artist 😭 His voice heals my broken heart. I would do anything to have him here. 😭 Jonghyun has so many songs in which he talks about his depression, that he is tired of the world, that nothing matters to him anymore.. Why didn't anyone see this? 😭💔 This song is also supposedly about his depression. 😢

You guys should listen to the original song (if I'm not mistaken) by Alejandro Sanz he's a Spanish singer/songwriter from back in the 90's still has a great voice.

This is a rewritten cover of the Spanish song of the same name by aleandro sanchez. Jonghyuns version is entitled to do fuerra Ella ( haeya) in brackets. Jonghyun first recorded this at 18 years old and released it on shinee's first ever album they released in 2008 at their debut. Jonghyun is known for his exceptional high notes that could reach a c# on the music scale. He often tailored his voice to suit the song in question.
Check out their live shineeworld concerts which you can find here in TH-cam except the most recent one and their tribute concert to Jonghyun after he passed away from suicide due to depression Dec 18 2017.
He is and will always be a member of shinee and is always refered to in the present even though he's passed coming up for 7 years this Dec.
