As what we buy will be, we are only here on earth for a breath, it goes very very very fast, im 67 and i thought time flew when i was working but nothing to now
@@ruthirwin8222 I’m 67 too, and it really is amazing how time flies. Unfortunately that is something one can only understand by living through the ageing process. I know we heard it when we were young, but none of us actually thought it applied to us personally 😹 As far as clothing goes, sure, certain looks will cycle back into style every so often. But it’s doubtful that the fast-fashioned clothing of today, deliberately designed to last a season at most, will survive long enough to ever be considered fashionable again. It won’t even work as vintage fashion. Cheers from an old 🇨🇦 !
I have been binge watching these shows and one thing I notice is that Gail always sticks these couples in a boat. They inevitably start screaming their heads off, lol.
Its so cute how they like Gail, and she likes them. They are such a great team, it feels so good to see that. I am smiling all the time while watching them! ❤️ they did so great! WOW!!
I deleted my previous comment the moment I heard guy say Gail came as a mother figure. He has the right approach and is being positive to change his life. I like this guy very much ! God bless him.
This couple is really cute.. I think they'll turn out ok! I keep imagining how much money I could save off of what she allotted. Of course we don't, as individuals, usually realize this until we're in a bad situation and have to cut back. I know I'm guilty of buying whatever I wanted when I was at the store, but that no longer applies. I'm older, poorer, and a little bit wiser. The current economy is NOT my friend! Blessings to all from Central Florida. Especially to Gail, who I hope has managed to retire by this point.:-)
I think every single person on this show could go through their house and get rid of stuff in a garage sale, I don't know why they don't require it every episode!!
All theses people wasting so much money on things that don’t hold up. Women with closets bulging with stuff from bottom feeder chain stores. Material already pilling and snagging, cheap fabrics, bad finishes, everything looking the same. And men (in most cases) rushing out to get their hands on their Mattel’s My Very First Big Screen TV before the other boys on the block got theirs. We have never cared what the Jones’s were doing. We were the last people in the neighbourhood to get rid of our dial-up connection. And we didn’t have a starter home. We loved the one we bought and never considered moving. Consequently we do not have any consumer debt holding us back.
Donna I needed a box of tissue for your memories. Thank you for sharing your history with us. We can see the news reports and listen to the specials but when it comes from someone who lived it there is so much more understanding that you get. Bless your husband and you and the memories of those friends you lost along with all others that passed that day. God bless.
In one of her shows Gail had a breakdown of housing 35%, life 25%, debt 15%, transportation 15% (which includes all related such as taxes, insurance, maintenance as well as petrol and car payments), and savings 10%. I think once you have paid debt off you can redistribute that money to any particular goals you may have. I have learned a lot from this programme.
I ALWAYS WONDERED WHEN THIS SHOW TOOK PLACE. SEEING THE 07'S ARE HERE LET ME KNOW THAT IT TOOK PLACE IN 2006 RIGHT BEFORE THE HOUSNG CRISIS. I WONDER HOW BAD THIS HURT ALL THE PEOPLE FROM THE SHOW.

I wish she would have a show where Gail revisits people she counseled to see how they are doing today.
There is some were she does were are they now episodes
Always amazing to see the money spent on clothes, electronics, and home goods that are worthless today.
Exactly. Good point.
I noticed that too, maybe it will come back in fashion lol

What a nice couple! It was so exciting to see them succeed! She got the new job and they sold 1K at the garage sale! Good for them!!
This was by far the most educational show an impressionable early-mid-20s me watched at the time.
After their canoe challenge, their faces were literally shining. Awesome job guys!

This guy is really deep in a very grounded kind of way. He must be super interesting to talk to
Awww they're sweet glad they took to the challenges with gusto!
I love how Gail is practical and to see how different ppl react to her method 🙂
This couple are gorgeous. Great attitude!
Gorgeous? He's dumpy. She's okay looking. Nice people sure.
Nice couple! When your young it's easy to get in a fantasy world of living the good life and keeping up with your peers!
She needs a full-time job hopefully one that she won't want to shop at. You don't need a wedding just go to the courthouse
True, they already live together….
And have a party at home.
Very very nice couple and well suited. She’s creative, he’s got a great sense of humour and kind.

4:36 Best part of the whole episode
Gail is a wonderful woman and the couples who ignored her challenges and plans were very foolish and probably ended up bankruptcy. It's really tragic.
This is one of my fave couples! They smashed every challenge!! ❤️
The thumbnail had me thinking the dogs were the couple in debt.
She actually ought two of shirts in the same colour in case she stained it? Outrageous.
Why wouldn't she just get some spray and wash 😂 it was a thing then...
I have done that before. Had the same shirt in like 5 colors like 2 of each. Wore them all.
These two are adorable ❤ I hope they stuck with these principles!
Have a happy life. Thats Gails point
I wish i had know of gail when i was working it would have been a great help
They were just the sweetest couple!

Haven’t the eyebrow styles changed over the years
I think this show is from 10 or 15 years ago. Her eyebrows were all the rage then. Maybe her personality, even with the eyebrow I find her lovely.
For the record, not every Canadian has Kent as their first or last name. This episode is just a huge coincidence 🤣🤣
Lol. I have met at least 5 Kent's this year .
The non-Kent’s are Maurices.

Wait did this couple pass away?
@@LKA-si7lnI don’t think so? I’m guessing this person commented on the wrong thread
Cute, sweet couple.
The girl's hair is gorgeous.
she has a lovely smile and beautiful eyes as well, they’re a very sweet couple
i love this couple!
A lovely couple.
Great work.
My son broke off a relationship because she expected her father to pay off her student loans.
Smart!
Cute couple
The wife looks like she could be Gail’s younger sister.
Except for those eyebrows 😬
Gail is stunning. Michelle has a really strangely shaped mouth and eyebrows…they don’t look alike at all
@@LS-xq5nf. We’ll have to agree to disagree.
LS, I think Michelle may have a scar on her upper lip.
Michelle was born with a cleft lip. Surgically closing it is why it is not symmetrical. It was a good closure though.
Nice couple. Wish them well.
Awesome couple!
A monthly budget for clothes is so foreign to me. I’ve had some of my shirts for 20+ years
They were a cool couple
My husband and I had a wedding for $3,000 and it was beautiful. Honey, DIY your heart out and have the wedding
If Gail was putting money in jars in 2022, what do you think average numbers would be for a couple and then a family of four let’s say income of 100k
I would like to see more shows like this
Bigger jars needed! Physically bigger to hold inflation dollars
More in the housing for a small apartment.

They could go into Lowes and buy a Starbucks gift card....
Gail and the lady they look alike.
Lol "listen you idiots." I could have used this!!
I'm seeing some hate on this couple and I don't get it!! They work well together and are partners!!
Gail is a sweetheart ❤.
How ridiculous sound when people spend like crazy, get in to financial deb problem and then, they don't know how to fix the problem or need help..😅🤣😂
They could have gotten married at City Hall with two witnesses and had the big wedding later.
Who does this? I don't know anyone who has gotten the big wedding "later".
It isn't bad but I have never seen it actually work like that.
She needs a different part time job!
If it still has tags, return it to the store 🤦🏼♀️
this is in canada in the 2000s, without receipts at most they probably would’ve gotten is store credit
I'll never understand how (most) people don't know exactly how much money they make?
Rich countries
Rich in debts

Ok.....all I can say is EYEBROWS. 😮
Did they ever marry?
Why do women who like to spend all have crappy low paying jobs?
