My friend Mark is an L.A.-based actor, stilt walker (you might see him in a parade at Disneyland), and entertainer. Since he loves the arts I figured he might enjoy some BTS!

Idol is how I found Jimin and made me a BTS fan. I had to know who the pretty guy with the high kicks was. Down the rabbit hole after that and now Jimin is my ult. I can’t blame your friend for falling for the Jimin effect. Mark is just as upbeat and fun like you said. I wish him all the success as he branches out in his career.

Hi, I am back. Good reaction. ty. I like Mark. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. I need U was 2015. Then after i think DNA, and the rest so it was a steady rise but DNA for sure in USA. They already had an international fanbase as u know because the Big 3 put a lot of roadblocks in their way. Social media was the only option for them to share their music and themselves with fans. Reactors helped get their music to more ppl too. Army was asking so many to react and ppl loved the songs and checked out more. Ppl on here shared and BTS rose steadily upward. Mic Drop: It's a slap in the face for their haters by saying they're at a point where it doesn't matter what you say because your words don't matter anymore. It's also a flex song by pointing out how many trophies they have because at this point they'd need a U-Haul to get them all. Just for an example, in Korea there are weekly music shows by various stations and the winner gets a trophy. Dynamite has 36 (I think) award show wins and that's without any promotion on their end. Fun fact: Mic Drop was inspired by President Obama's mic drop when he left office. =0] The dance break they added to the live is so good. There is a practice video for that. And they have performed this song with the new choreo for a while now. I saw another live with it. It is a perfect addition to the original choreo though they just made it harder as usual. =0p So glad u loved this song like I do. Black Swan is great. On Kinetic Manifesto is good too. Hugs. I deal with anxiety and depression too. And BTS just calms me. They make me so happy Pls watch DKDKTV explanation for Idol. You know this MV needs explaining, lol. A few things that were not mentioned were 1. Suga wore the Snow White sweater because he was told he was too pale. So he celebrates that. 2. Jimin holds a fan and walks provocatively with it in one part of the MV. Jimin was criticized for being too feminine. Rolls eyes. So he is showing he does not care. He loves himself and he will do as he pleases. 3. JHope wearing a bugs bunny shirt also has meaning. Sadly, i have forgotten what it was. Possibly that he is very energetic and he is proud of this and does not think anything is wrong with it.

You should watch 'Idol explained by a Korean' DKDKTV. They break down the lyrics, the visuals, the clothes, and cultural references we would never know otherwise. I'm from south africa so it was amazing seeing them use south african influenced beats in the song and doing the gwarra gwarra (a dance move that originated in south africa) in their choreography. The move at 16:16 is the gwarra gwarra for those who are curious.

Believe me when I tell you that Idol is one of the most sarcastic songs I have ever seen in a kpop group.
You don't like the supposed CGI or special effects
You don't like performances
You don't like the videos loaded the autotune
Well, this song in the lyrics and the video makes fun of you and gives you more than what you say you hate
Also for those who say that idols are not artists
This song is incredible, in addition to the Korean cultural references, the clothes, the colors, everything is an invitation to throw a party to love and value ourselves.
