    -We'd recommend using 5/32" Self Tapping screws instead of the 3/32" ones shown. They certainly work, but could be better.
    Bryant noted it would also probably be a good idea to get 45 pound struts instead of 40 pounders (used here) especially if you have any aftermarket hood modifications that add any more weight. However, they work as needed, and I'm certainly happy.

    When you said "Wow I feel like I'm driving a car from 2002" I laughed out loud. Dam bro I fell off cuz after the video going to Florida I thought you gave up the channel. Then I lost my original account password and started using this one. I had to refer one of your videos to a friend cuz I'm away and can't help with the job. When I saw you're back on I started binge watching. Welcome back

    Cool mod. I think I still prefer the hood prop though because of the third "full service" slot. I swapped the engine and transmission without removing the hood because of that slot

    Good sir, if you turn down the clutch on the drill you don't have to put those screws in by hand, or you could have use self tapping screws. Final results achieved either way, so good work

      I do have a corded impact gun, but I don't use it unless absolutely necessary. I like to demonstrate to the viewers that such tools are not required for most jobs

    Nice! Tell me if I'm wrong, but drilling those holes exposes some bare metal are you worried about rust eventually forming there? Trying to figure out if I need to pick up a little paint before I do something like this.

    • @WAEMIDIV

  • @neighborsgoat

    Nice mod! By the way; I noticed that your 2 door XJ has the rear windows with an opening in them? I own a (new to me) 1999 XJ that doesn't come with window openings; they're just plain fixed ones. I wonder if the reason is that mine is an European model, and yours is the US version.

    • @WAEMIDIV
      @WAEMIDIV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those little pop open windows were actually an option, but rare at that. Mine actually had the solid glass when I got it, and I swapped in these vent window panes primarily because I wanted the factory tint that was on them.
      The vent windows were easy to break into, so in later years they were phased out. They're not all that common because of it

    Did you ever make a video of putting the back side glass in?

    • @WAEMIDIV
      @WAEMIDIV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've never had to, but I've done it on a Comanche, it was very straightforward

    • @expeditionlife7604
      @expeditionlife7604 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was talking about your Two Door white Cherokee, the side back glass that you put in with a Events. Did you make a video of that? I have a two door and would like to do that myself.

    • @WAEMIDIV
      @WAEMIDIV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @expeditionlife7604 No video, but they are simply press fit. You have to take off all the interior trim surrounding the glass, then pry the rubber seal over the metal lip on the body, and work yours way across the window inch by inch until you've pushed enough of the rubber outside. If there's no videos for a 2 door I imagine the rear glass on a 4 door works the exact same way, it's just smaller.

      Not sure, I've only had them for 3 months now. Still good so far
