      If I put my joints that close to the edge, then I cant with the bracket wood on the top of the shelf closed. If I seat the joint back far enough to make room for the bracket wood on the top shelf, then the joints only open 60°. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

      I have been getting them at my local hardware store. I get a pack of 6 for about 3 bucks. I have to stack 3 to get sufficient power. Also the lock is pole sensitive so make sure you try both sides of the magnet. I found some on Amazon but I can't recommend them as I have not tried them.

    • @famousamoso7
      @famousamoso7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The other thing you can do is use a forstner bit where the lock attaches so the thickness of the wood doesnt affect it as much. The thicker the top board the stronger the magnet will need to be.

      @@LastLeafStudioVideo yes absolutely you have to be careful anywhere with you firearms. I was in a campground once and a gentleman came over to talk with me and seemed nice enough but during our conversation he asked “do you have any guns in your camper?” I thought what the crap and really didn’t know what to say, so I just said if I am in my camper there is a gun in it, if I am in my truck there is a gun in it, where ever I am at there is a gun. Implying I was carrying which I was and also to let him know if I was gone to town there wasn’t any guns in there for him to steal!! He them replied I have 300 guns in my camper. I said you have 300 guns in you camper? He said yes.. lol I told him it wasn’t wise to go around telling that. I later found out he was harmless but like to tell fibs and stories. He went on to tell me that he worked for Barack Obama at the White House, had a million dollars cash in his mattress, that his son at five years old lifted his truck so he could change the tire ( like the Superman movie). So yep the morel of the story is “ be careful with you firearms” don’t let people know what you have.
