:( All I wanted was a way to do an oral presentation for my class. technology is too much for an old school person like me. Thank you for this lecture. I will need to go over it a few times to learn how to do it properly. I will use this video to help me with the oral presentation for class.

Will I be able to use Zoom for the interview and add to my Quick Time movie, or what do you recommend? Also, when it comes to inserting pictures, what picture/photo format should I use. Thanks a billion!

Watching this again, unknown times at this point. Just the simplicity I want (don't want to become a software engineer). I do have a request on a video. TH-cam Beta, now the default, is still too complicated or obscure for me. The Endscreen handles have moved and nothing intuitive gets them to move. I still have to use Classic. Although, your job is much simpler than mine. Those buttons are always going to be where you can find them. Inventing bioplastics is not so easy. Thank you so much for making easy to follow videos on subjects related to TH-cam video production.

This is so well done. I wonder if you (or anyone else reading this) have any insight on how to do this but with the added wrinkle of sometimes using the webcam recording picture in picture, and sometimes switching to a phone camera face recording in split screen within iMovie. Thanks.

    Hi Mike,
I found that in the new screen capture mode one can elect to record screen without audio. So by doing this I just record the webcam with sound and this solves one issue. Thx for your excellent sharing, i watch all the adverts so you get paid but think Patreon would be great for your content too.

Great tutorial video! Very useful for me. I'm trying to use OBS to do it all together in a scenery at once but when I push the play button on Keynote it does not permit me to use CMD TAB on my Mac Book Pro to access OBS again in order to select the Keynote presentation window in play mode and complete my scenery. I think I'll use your method. Thank you for sharing it! Congratulations from Brazil !

This is a fab video thank you! I need to produce a 15 minute presentation using these tools, but Im worried I cant do this without either coughing or getting tongue tied or lost. Should I film it in one go and cut bits out on imovie, or is it better to film this in portions? Is there an easy way to do that?

I have a question. On my old McBook air I was able to do a split screen and record my keynote presentation next to my webcam in a vertical position, all at once without having to use Imovie. It doesn't seem possible with Catalina. Any suggestion? I am a language teacher and a small picture on top of the Keynote doc is not practical to teach movements while talking and showing pictures. Your tutorials are awesome. You always make sure that even if we are not tech-savvy we can understand everything! Bravo!
