Very helpful and clearly done. Appreciate the clarity and level of professionalism. Head and shoulders above the usual TH-cam Keynote tutorial.

I appreciate your skills as an instructor in your iMovie / Keynotes tutorials! Your special rhetorical quality is that you not only give an exact straight line to follow, but at many places also state the alternatives you have or the alternative state your project or settings may be in. Or that you answer questions a bit aside from the "straight line" such as at 5:38 where you mention that the state of "Start movie on click" setting on later slides is irrelevant as long as it is activated on the first slide and all your slides along the way use "Play movie across slides". But still you manage to not stray too much apart from that "main straight line". Exactly the amount of balance between conveying the essence but covering enough of the typical uncertainties. Great!

Thank you for this class, Sir. I've been trying to figure this out for months. You revealed what I've been doing wrong. Thank you, also, for the methodical steps and transitions in your instructions. Yes! I subscribed to your page.

Thanks very much for your videos as they made me realise the very good capabilities of iMovie and Keynote. I have not thought much of iMovie since Apple made major changes to it about a decade ago but now I find that iMovie is so good when used with Keynote (and also with a green screen).

Hello.. thank you so much for this video. I have added an MP3 to six slides .. and it plays through them fine … now what happened was I accidentally moved across two slides at once and I tried to go back.. (this was live on zoom btw) so I hit the up arrow key and the music stopped and restarted! Is there no way to go back in presentation without the music getting interrupted? It goes forward regardless .. but not back in case you skip a slide?

Check your video settings- “on-click” vs “after transition”. Also check the Build Order panel for that second slide and compare to the other slides.

    Hi Mike,
Your presentations are really good and very clear. I have used them for other things on the Mac but I absolutely cannot get this to work. Have version 12.5.1 on Mac Mini (M1) and have followed all of your steps to the letter. Keynote recorder only records one slide (usually the last) and I cant export as a movie either. Have experimented and can only export keynote with one slide. Anymore than that it just tells me I cant export it. Anyone else got this issue? Any tips?

I also use the Rode NTUSB Mini- and the Logitech Brio - Question - I’m having trouble getting consistent color using my Logitech Brio - I’m well lit but it seems to be very sensitive to my slight movements - Do you use a third party color setting for this camera? Or another solution? Thanks! Scott

Hi Michael! Thanks for this tutorial! I've been at it all evening and its after 1:30 AM and still can't get this right! What I want to do is this...I have a video playing as you have you talking. In each slide, i have pictures with effects. fading in and fading out. There are about 10 slides. I don't want to have to click to go to each slide though. I'd like each slide to play automatically. As a matter of fact, I'd like to make this slideshow into a movie. How can I do that? I'd appreciate any help you have to offer. Thanks so much!

Much appreciated. I've tried using Logitech C920 and would like to know how you seem to get close head shots with the green screen. I have a portable green screen, and have to repeatedly adjust it so the camera doesn't display beyond the edges. Shalom

What software are you using to do your green screen? Might be a way to crop the shot to trim away area outside green screen.

I get videos from others and have to create slide shows to match what they say, which means I don't have the kind of control that you show by recording first while watching the slide show. Can you create a video that shows how to end up with the same kind of result but approaching that way?
