Today we are installing some more front end mods to my 2019 BMW X3 M40i. We are installing V-Brace Covers and a new front splitter. As well as doing an active aero delete)
These aero curtains actually works… I had on car original X3M grill, there was bigger gaps so aero flaps didnt work much and it was noticeable slower heating up engine in winter, it also lowers mpg on highway when its not too hot. I prefer aero ON, it looks cleaner to me than have “holes” to see thru.
Fun fact for those out of warranty and modding their cars. With MHD Tuner and BM3 tuner etc you can set the car to keep the flaps open 100% of the time and don't have to cut it apart lol
Hey I had a question wanted to install V Brace covers on my X3 m40i as well but don’t want to remove the Aero. How did you already have them installed before the delete just waited for them to open and slid them in?
A little bit of work with a flathead screw driver and you do not have to cut the aero pieces. I removed mine completely without breaking anything so I can put it back if I want. Everything pops apart and there are pins on the inside part you can remove the push bar that make it work.
I’m not sure yet actually! I have an engine light for my catless downpipe that my tune will be removing when I reinstall it. So I’ll update you when I get that code removed!
Cel only turns on if he breaks either of the guide brackets .(grey piece on the top inner part of the grill & the black piece in the middle ) which he broke one part . To not get the Cel you have to leave the first two fins that have the black piece connected to it
@@OfficialCompact I got the CEL for my catless DP cleared and I have no CEL from the active aero delete that has come up. So I don’t think it’ll be an issue!
@@ZachEgbert oh, OK yeah mine stayed closed the entire time yesterday that I was in the snow usually in Vegas though they stay open pretty much all the time
It looks good but if you would’ve left the first fin that connects to that black piece behind the grille you wouldn’t be running it to a check engine light in the future when you get you’re downpipe coded . A new Grille assembly should be in your part list 😢😂
Picking mine up tomorrow! I cannot wait
How do you like it??

Build is coming together nicely man, keep cooking🔥
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! 👊🏻

Question - have you had any issues with coolant leaks in your 2019 BMW X3 M40i?

Can you make a video of that process. I don't want to cut mine off..
@@ronalurbina5501I would greatly appreciate a video as well.
thats pops up a check engine light when those are removed no?
Link to the splitter?
what size wheels / tires are you running?
Don't you get an engine code for the aero not working?

I got the tune put back on and the catless downpipe CEL cleared and no warning for the aero delete has come up. I don’t think it’ll be an issue!
Why are you deleting the aero ?
Mostly for looks to be honest. I like the V braces to show through. The aero doesn’t affect anything really, so it won’t change much.

Best thing about this video was a dog. He’s adorable.❤❤❤love the x3 to 😂
I dig it
Thank you! 🙏🏼

Shoot flames!? lol
once I seen this guy using a kitchen knife to mod a vehicle I hit the unlike button so fast
Using tools that anyone has access too. What’s wrong with that? 🤔
