    Oh yeah....gotta love a nice set of ditch lights! They are a "go to" for me.

      I don't think I've ever had an Overlanding build without them, haha. Kind of obsessed with lights.

    Thanks for this, I’m going to install traveler x ditch lights on my 2023 frontier this Monday.

    Those are pretty sharp looking lights. Looking forward seeing how they hold up.

      They've been on the truck for about a month and no water penetration yet. We'll see how they hold up over more time and offroad use!

    Hey man, love the channel. I watch a lot because I have a 23 Frontier Pro4x that I’m building into a camping/light overlanding rig for my photography trips. I was interested in these lights - how have they held up and do I need to worry about the potential parasitic draw of the switch? I’m new to the overland build stuff so your channel is really helpful. Thanks so much!

      Thanks so much and glad it’s helpful. They’ve held up great. I did recently swap them out for some Co light lights which I’ll link to that video here: th-cam.com/video/jU-9w6mO2ow/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RNwZOiHch5Fn7q8X. The Novsights were great but I picked a “driving” style beam so they were really focused and I wanted more of a flood style so I swapped to the colights to get that. They do make the Novsights in flood patterns which I’m sure are also great.

      @jaredboazphoto 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AllThingsOverlanding I’m gonna do the flood novsights for sure. What about the parasitic draw you mentioned with the switch? Any issues or anything I should be concerned about?

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jaredboazphoto I was initially worried about that but I literally left on vacation for over a week and when I came back the truck started up just fine and the temps were in the 20s. So whatever is powering that tiny LED is drawing so little power that it doesn’t seem to have any negative impact.

    Rough Country has a direct fit 3rd Gen ditch light bracket kit

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the only bad thing is that with that kit (and most of the kits for 3rd gen trucks) you have to cut your plastic drainage shroud to make it fit. I just didn't want to cut anything, but it's a small cut if people are cool with it.

    Nice job. I used the Auxbeam; but am now chasing an issue of then giving static over my Midland radio when they’re on. Any issues with yours?

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  ปีที่แล้ว

      No issues with the lights and my GMRS, but that sucks and is weird.

      Are they the style where you have to cut the cowl below the hood? I feel like I've seen another build or two that has utilized something similar but I didn't want to cut anything. Wait til I get my first pin stripes or dent and I'll care less, but with a truck this new, I'm trying to be nice to it, :D.

    Any experience of water seeping in the mount on the hood? I fear that in the long run, there may be a clear difference in the paint given that the mounts are stuck in there and covering a part of the hood (despite small)- rain or shine.

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope, no issues. It overhangs the drip tray below the hood, so any water dripping would just go in there. I left a little slack in my power cords too so that it wouldn't run into the engine bay.
      Probably true that over a long time there could be a difference in paint fade with these mounts. I'm likely going to just keep them on forever, but it could change and I may have to deal with that.

    have you had any issues with the warranty by installing these? 🤔

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't had any problems with the truck to necessitate a visit to the dealer, but you should not have any warranty problems unless the dealer can actually prove that adding ditch lights caused your problem. For example, if you transmission imploded, they can't show that adding auxiliary lights caused the problem so they wouldn't impact your warranty for the transmission.

    A general question to any Canadian viewers. The link for Amazon won’t show these lights for me. It brings up auxbeam cube lights and Novsight headlights, but no Novsight ditch lights. Does anyone else have the same issue? I’m wondering if it’s only available from US Amazon.

    • @AllThingsOverlanding
      @AllThingsOverlanding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Huh, that is weird. I just tried going to the Canadian Amazon too and I don't see them. Maybe they only ship in the US?

    • @lescard3870
      @lescard3870 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for confirming that it wasn’t just me. I may have to switch to the US site and see how much I’ll get dinged on exchange and shipping.
